Electronic sources like e-books, e-journals, online databases, multimedia information are becoming more popular day by day. The purpose of this study was to know the utilization of electronic resources by the usersof engineering colleges. A total of 200 respondents were selected in the engineering colleges of Kanchipuram district including the teaching faculties and students and 182 filled responds were received. The data was collected through a well-structured questionnaire.

The competency of individuals to distinguish their own emotions and those of others is known as emotional intelligence. It is the “ability of an individual to accomplish and control his or her emotions and own the capacity to control the emotions of others as well.” There are four branch models of enthusiastic insight that portrays capacities of different zones of emotional intelligence. First one being the perceiving emotions; it is the expression of emotions in a non-verbal reception; using emotions; use of emotions to facilitate thoughts; understanding emotions: where emotions convey information; managing emotions: emotions are managed and understood to convey information. This study focuses on the intrapersonal emotional intelligence which is the basis for interpersonal emotional intelligence. The aspects viz., understanding emotions, managing emotions, intrinsic motivation building, and zeal are studied. The study attempts to identify the factors of emotions present in the college students so as to help them to build an effective intrapersonal emotional intelligence.


The present study was exploratory and diagnostic in nature to examine the level of psychological dependence on social media networking sites usage of college youth in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. This research was adopted survey method and structured questionnaire was collected from200 college students residing in Chennai city to gather the information and perception on psychological dependence on social media networking sites addiction. The data collected were subjected to data analysis using PSPP software and statistical tools such as, percentage analysis, descriptive analysis and exploratory factor analysis to understand the level of social media addiction of college students. psychological dependence on social media networking sites variables have been reduced to Five independent factors and the most dominant factor is Communication Factor (CF) followed by, Curiosity Factor (CUF), Attention Factor (AF), Time Factor (TM) and Upgradation Factor (UF) in their order of dominance.College youth are opined thatthey are more excited and curious to use a greater number of social media networking sites due to growth of internet and mobile penetration.To conclude, college youth can use social media networking sites with some limit timer through self-control and they should spend their quality time in the real world rather than the virtual world.

An Entrepreneur is a person who responsible for his growth, who is responsible for his employees, who is responsible for his customers, who is answerable to himself, who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or idea and is accountable for the inherent risks and the outcome. Who are Risk-taking individuals who take actions to pursue opportunities and situations others may fail to recognize or may view as problems or threats?. Who takes the risk of converting a new idea in to reality? Who shifts resources from areas of low productivity to areas of higher productivity? The field study has gain importance in the minds of students‟ community in the recent years. The research Studies reveals that develop the entrepreneurial perception among the students in the global environment because of the global economy attracting the new ventures. It is to note that students especially from management do posses an aim of becoming entrepreneurs.Hence the study is focused on this paper. The main objectives of the study is to know the socio and economic condition, Entrepreneurial Perception, Skills, financial assistant from Government and others side, Administration and how much does the management Institutions contributes towards the entrepreneurial Perception and skill to the students aspirants.


Consumers’ preference towards branded smartphones has been focused as important in the current scenario. Therefore the objective of this study was to investigate the determinants of brand preference in Coimbatore city. This study employed descriptive statistics and Analysis of Variance. Data were collected in Coimbatore city among arts and science college students. Standard questionnaire has been distributed among the students and sample size for this study was 100 respondents using convenience sampling. The results showed that the smartphone manufacturers has to concentrate on high end features in the smartphones with advanced technology in order to fulfill the urge of the customers satisfaction and also to take steps to reduce the price of the smartphone because of the huge demand arises among customers. Brand price plays a major role because being college students the price has an impact in the purchase of smartphones.
