The paper considers the impact of currency risk on economic systems based on international outsourcing. The theoretical basis for constructing a model of the economic system based on international outsourcing, as well as economic speculative currency risk, is presented. The authors propose and describe a model of the impact of currency risk on economic systems based on international outsourcing. Mathematical modeling, as well as mathematical and graphical analysis of indicators characterizing the impact of currency risk are carried out. The results reflecting the impact of currency risk on a particular participant of the economic system, as well as on the system as a whole, under various particular conditions, are presented. The authors point out that currency risk in economic systems based on international outsourcing is expressed, not only explicitly, but also covertly through changes in the volume of production, cost and price of final value. Based on the modeling, general and specific criteria for the qualitative assessment of currency risk in international outsourcing are proposed. The results of the study can be used by organizations that are part of economic systems based on international outsourcing, regardless of the management approach and the mechanism for forming an economic system based on international outsourcing.

During the coronavirus pandemic the problems of sustainability of the Russian economy, as well as the economy of regions that form it, sharply worsened. The protracted, global course of the COVID-19 epidemic has given the exceptional urgency to the problem of the sustainable development of regions. There is a lack of knowledge of the global, national, regional dynamics in the conditions of the epidemic, despite the world scale of the problem. The sustainability and integrity of the country depend on the sustainability of the regional social and economic system. The purpose of this research is to identify trends in the development of the regional consumer market in the conditions of the pandemic, to reveal its significance in forming the region’s sustainable development. To conduct the research the authors used the first statistic data about the functioning of the national and regional consumer market in the conditions of the pandemic. The object of the study is one of the Russian regions –the Sverdlovsk region. The theoretical basis of the research is the concept of the sustainable development of the social and economic system.

Various methods of video-enhanced microscopy combine TV cameras with light microscopes creating images with improved resolution, contrast and visibility of fine detail, which can be recorded rapidly and relatively inexpensively. The AVEC (Allen Video-enhanced Contrast) method avoids polarizing rectifiers, since the microscope is operated at retardations of λ/9- λ/4, where no anomaly is seen in the Airy diffraction pattern. The iris diaphram is opened fully to match the numerical aperture of the condenser to that of the objective. Under these conditions, no image can be realized either by eye or photographically. Yet the image becomes visible using the Hamamatsu C-1000-01 binary camera, if the camera control unit is equipped with variable gain control and an offset knob (which sets a clamp voltage of a D.C. restoration circuit). The theoretical basis for these improvements has been described.

This report describes an unusual and persistent dysphonia in two young women who had taken a therapeutic regimen of isotretinoin for intractable acne. We report perceptual and instrumental data for their dysphonia, and pose a theoretical basis for the relationship of dysphonia to this drug. We also provide recommendations for reducing the risk of acquiring a dysphonia during the course of treatment with isotretinoin.

Abstract The syndrome of unilateral neglect, typified by a lateralized attention bias and neglect of contralateral space, is an important cause of morbidity and disability after a stroke. In this review, we discuss the challenges that face researchers attempting to elucidate the mechanisms and effectiveness of rehabilitation treatments. The neglect syndrome is a heterogeneous disorder, and it is not clear which of its symptoms cause ongoing disability. We review current methods of neglect assessment and propose logical approaches to selecting treatments, while acknowledging that further study is still needed before some of these approaches can be translated into routine clinical use. We conclude with systems-level suggestions for hypothesis development that would hopefully form a sound theoretical basis for future approaches to the assessment and treatment of neglect.
