In managing the research report method, a researcher can use a variety of methods available, tailored to what he studies. This study discusses the introduction of path analysis, the notion of path analysis, which is a method for studying the direct effects or indirect effects of hypothesized variables as the causes of the effects of variables needed in research, characteristics of path analysis and terms in path analysis . There are 2 (two) completion of path analysis, namely with simple correlation, completion of path analysis with linear regression. Literary research research methods were used in this study to add insight to researchers regarding writing management. With this research, it is expected to be able to help students who are compiling reports in higher education, and can improve the quality of management of research reports using path analysis methods.

Families who have chil-dren with special needs often experience problems in handling them, which affect the children’s development and may lead to social barriers because they rarely interact with their peers and ex-hibit impolite behaviors. The procedures in describing the case followed the following stages: (1) Observation stage, (2) Designing family counseling program, (3) Implementing family counseling program, (4) Evaluation and reflection of family counseling program, and (5) Writing research report. The study found that both parents and counselor worked cooperatively in preparing the program to shape polite behavior in the child. This was carried out by first determining the desired final behavior that is to make the child behave more politely especially to other people. To achieve this, parents need to decide what they should do to guide the child’s behavior. After doing the counseling session, both father and mother started implementing the program. They synergized and worked together to share roles in the child care. The father is more of a rule maker while the mother played a role in supervising the child’s everyday activities. Parents also conducted more various activities with their child.Keywords:Abstrak. This study explores voices from an Appraisal Theory perspective (Martin & White, 2005). It aims to investigate how novice English as a Foreign Language (EFL) research writers deploy Engagement resources to review existing literature in the field. The study is based on a corpus of literature reviews from 25 research articles written by Thai undergraduate students enrolled in a research report writing class. Findings show that the writers demonstrated a strong preference to engage readers in the writers’ justification of knowledge. The results revealed that Entertain, Acknowledge, and Counter resources were most often used in the articles. By contrast, novice research writers, to some extent, convince readers of their perspectives by using bare assertions without reference to other voices. It may be assumed that second language (L2) novice research writers are aware of the need to engage with readers and to strategically construe dialogic divergences in their written works.
