With the continuous development of social economy, the logistics system has been continuously improved. In addition to traditional domestic postal transportation and car consignment, emerging logistics methods such as SF Express and Yunda have also emerged. Aiming at the features such as fragility of fruits and vegetables and high storage requirements, in this paper, a cold chain logistics multimedia monitoring and tracking service platform is built in an attempt to monitor the preservation environment and safety status of agricultural products relying on fuzzy sorting and heuristic algorithms, trace agricultural products with labels, and design the direction of the key data. The practice results show that the system is effective.

The presence of chemical contaminants in agricultural products is a continued food-safety challenge in Peru. This country has robust agriculture potential, but its output of fruits and vegetables is severely impacted by massive mining activities, as well as poor farming practices, including the use of polluted irrigation water, misuse of pesticides, and inadequate postharvest conditions. This review examines the current scientific knowledge on the levels of pesticide residues, heavy metals, and mycotoxins on crops produced in Peru. The available data shows that several crop varieties are contaminated with these classes of chemical contaminants, and at levels that exceed the national and international permissible limits. The abundance of chemical contaminants in produce indicates a relevant food-safety issue, which increases the risks of chronic human diseases, like cancer—a leading cause of death in Peru. Finally, this review presents recommendations to address these contamination problems in produce grown in the Andean country.

One of the potential of the seven districts underdeveloped areas in West Papua Province is agriculture. In order to develop agricultural potential, an overview of agricultural products is needed including the similarity of regional characteristics and the relative position of the region. The similarity of regional characteristics to agricultural product can be known by cluster analysis. The relative posistion of the area with agricultural  results is known by biplot analysis. Bintuni Bay Regency, South Sorong Regency, Tambrauw Regency and Maybrat Regency have the same characteristics in producing agriculture while Teluk Wondama Regency, Sorong Regency and Raja Ampat Regency have different characteristics. The relative position of agricultural products with the regency is Sorong Regency producing the highest number of food crops while the largest producer of horticulture fruits and vegetables are Teluk Wondama Regency and Raja Ampat Regency.

The use of dielectric properties of agricultural products for sensing moisture in grain and seed and their application in radio-frequency and microwave dielectric heating is discussed briefly. Values for the dielectric properties of a number of products, including grain and seed, fruits and vegetables, and poultry products, are presented graphically to show the dependence of these properties on frequency, moisture content, and temperature. The potential for using the dielectric properties to sense quality factors other than moisture content is also considered.

Market orders authorized under both State and Federal legislation have long been employed to regulate the marketing of many agricultural products, especially fruits and vegetables. While their purposes vary and controls provided for differ, one provision that is common to a large number of orders allows the establishment of minimum standards of grade, maturity, or other characteristics of quality in the marketing of an agricultural commodity. These standards are usually set by the marketing order committee composed of producer and shipper members of the industry, subject to the approval of the Secretary of Agriculture.

Background: High levels of heavy metals in food are general concerns including carcinogenic effects. According to studies, the accumulation of heavy metals in crops and consumption of these products in diet, has led to serious health concerns. This study investigated the concentrations of lead and cadmium in popular agricultural products. Methods: In this descriptive study, some fresh agricultural products (leafy vegetables, tubers, cucurbits and seeds) were collected in the winter and summer. The samples were transferred to the laboratory and stored in a cold room. After the preparation of the samples, the lead and cadmium contents were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. The data were analyzed statistically on SPSS v. 26 software. Results: The average concentrations of lead and cadmium in the winter was 37.23±4.7 and 34.77±0.5 while they were 44.12±0.02 and 56.83±0.01 μg/g in the summer. The highest amount of led content was reported in spinach at an average of 71.25 μg/g and the lowest content was found in watermelon at 30.67 μg/g. We observed a significant rise in the concentrations of the pollutants in leafy vegetables during the summer, which was also linked to the farms’ locations (P<0.05). Conclusion: The results showed that the highest amount of lead accumulation was found in leafy vegetables and that of the cadmium was at permissible levels in all produces as recommended by WHO. The risk of non-cancerous diseases was also low. Future studied are warranted to assess the risk of heavy metal toxicity in people, especially in children, the elderly and pregnant women.
