This research is a type of action research. Aims to design a database for a costume ordering service outlet recommendation system. The application is built using the flutter framework as the user interface, the PHP language as a data processor that is sent from the application and MySQL as the database.A recommendation system is a system that is able to identify and provide high potential content selected by users based on filtering information that takes preferences from user behavior and history. The final result of the database design shows that the database design consists of 5 tables, namely the User Table, the Orderuser Table, the Outlet Table, the Rating Table, and the Review Table, as well as the Web-based Cosplay Making Service Outlet Selection Recommendation System.

Current information recommendation systems obtain users’ preferences from Web browsing histories and activities such as purchase of products, and efficiently provide the users with their preferable information. In such a case, however, the same or similar information is always recommended, which is called filter bubble and it decreases the users’ satisfaction to the systems. If information recommendation systems could provide users with something surprising and useful as output information, the user’s satisfaction to the systems would drastically increase. Therefore, “serendipity” is paid attention to in this research. In this paper, a new information recommendation system using a concept-based information retrieval is proposed to provide the users with serendipitous information. In this system, concepts which describe features or roles of items are input instead of the items themselves, and information which can meet the concepts are output as candidates of serendipitous information. The serendipitous information is extracted from the output information using the criteria which are the indexes of serendipity defined in this research. Through the evaluation experiment, it is revealed that the proposed system achieves the accuracy of 70% for the serendipitous information determination and the accuracy of 100% for the information retrieval, which are satisfactory for this research purpose.

The purpose of this research is to design a database system that is implemented in a web-based academic management that can be used to support the information system and academic management at Muhammadiyah 4 High School Bandung. The proposed Method in system design includes 2 parts, such as system analysis and product design. Analytical methods include literature studies, interviews, and questionnaire. Meanwhile, the database design method used are three stages database design according to Connoly and Begg. The results achieved are web based academic and database management system at Muhammadiyah High School 4 Bandung. The conclusion obtained from this research is the system is able to provide information needs, faster, accurate, prevent duplication problem of data , to support decision making, to improve effective communication between the user, and to get the information easier.

The authors propose a web-based adaptive categorization and authenticated recommendation system, based on teacher performance. Distinct layers of the proposed framework have been operated from many geographically distributed locations. The system contains multiple entry points such as a student attendance module, a teacher categorization module, and a teacher recommendation module, strictly accessed by the administrative authority of an academic organization. The student attendance module is required for achieving better results on the teacher categorization module, and the teacher recommendation module. The reliability factor has been incorporated for realizing the accuracy of the proposed system. The administration authorities communicate with the server to categorize and recommend teachers by using teachers' performance. The replication and re-allocation transparencies have been maintained throughout the servers. Lightweight system performance has been enhanced due to the incorporation of a paperless approach and has provided less data loss. A linear time complexity is achieved due to usage of cellular automata as a tool.

The book recommendation system is mainly designed with Struts2 + Hibernate + Spring technologies in the Web design. This paper analyzes the functions of the system, introduces the systems architecture and the key technologies of system implementation, and proves the effectiveness and practicability of the system through experiment.
