ABSTRACTCostume, dress code, animation, comics, legends, and manga, are inseparable parts of the cosplay costume. Those parts give fantasy and digital world discourse through costume style. Its spiritual domain stands on Japanese culture by being cultured through clothing. One of them, cosplay ideo- logy, reflects the self-imaging through social communities, as an e?ort for group and self-existence. Cosplay entity bridges fantasy and real world, presents designers’ expressions through the costume designs to show. This writing will be analyzed by using the main theories based on Dewitt H. Parker point of view, in The Principles of Aesthetics, which divides principles of aesthetics into three, they are: Principle of Organic Unity, Principle of Dominant Element, and Principle of Balance. Principle of organic unity indicates that cosplay clothing is an accumulation of design elements, to refer and mark a figure. Principle of dominant element, is accentuation, or the center of interest of a cosplay clothing design. Parker, dalam The Principles of Aesthetics, yang membagi prinsip estetika menjadi tiga, yaitu: prinsip kesatu- an organik, prinsip unsur dominan, dan prinsip keseimbangan. Prinsip kesatuan organik menunjukkan, bahwa pakaian cosplay merupakan akumulasi dari unsur-unsur desain, un- tuk merujuk dan menandai tokoh. Prinsip unsur dominan, merupakan aksentuasi, atau pusat perhatian dari sebuah desain pakaian cosplay. The article defines the principal artistic conflict in S. Dovlatov’s works as an irreconcilable contradiction between the ugly truth of reality and the embellished lies of Soviet ideological appearances, imposing themselves as a substitute for that particular reality. However, a third element in this universe is a recurrent type of protagonist who remains consistent in all of Dovlatov’s works. His situation, fate and personality are defined by his sticking to ‘a third way.’ It is from this viewpoint alone that one can observe the workings of the law of absurdity that rules the universe. According to the author, the popularity of Dovlatov’s books lies in their mainstream protagonist. Devoid of individual traits, Dovlatov’s hero is easy for any reader to identify with psychologically; and not because of many similarities, but due to very few differences. All in all, the article attempts to describe S. Dovlatov’s artistic world as a system that represents an organic unity of the writer’s creative principles and his deeply dramatic worldview.

Abstract‘Biblical theology’ has long influenced modern theological method, especially Protestant, as both boon and bane. Its role has been seen as either pivotal or problematic in the attempt to construe the Christian Bible as scripture with unified teaching for the contemporary church. The attempt to unfold biblical teaching as having organic unity, related to an internal structure of theological concepts, is frequently perceived as a failure, a has-been that leaves us only with fragmentation – between parts of the Bible, between academy and church, church and world, clergy and laity, and between various theological disciplines. Today a new movement is afoot, often labelled ‘theological interpretation of scripture’. Some of its adherents define this practice as distinct from, even opposed to, biblical theology. Others treat the two practices as virtually coterminous, while perhaps contesting what ‘biblical theology’ is typically taken to be in favour of new theological hermeneutics. Much of the difficulty in defining the relationship, then, stems from lingering debates about what biblical theology can or should be. The rest of the difficulty is perhaps rooted in the dilemma of any interdisciplinary efforts: how to breach unhelpful sections of disciplinary boundaries without redefining territory so nebulously that no one knows where they are.

The present paper is an attempt at approaching Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations from a morphological perspective based upon Vladimir Propp’s Morphology of the Folktale. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with a brief view of the nature of formalism: its background and its process of analysis. The second part is devoted to putting into practice what has been dealt with in the first part. It will be mostly concerned with the question as to whether all the functions of dramatis personae as stated by Propp figure in the object of analysis, Great Expectations. Finally, the paper will draw the conclusion as to whether the aforementioned elements constitute an organic unity.

This essay offers a parallel reading of two stories, ‘Bliss’ by Katherine Mansfield and ‘The Apple Tree’ by Daphne du Maurier, revealing a hitherto unexamined yet fruitful area of research. Dramatic irony, organic unity and liminal spaces are identified and discussed in terms of how these are used to represent subconscious and conscious perceptions of reality. The plots incorporate symbols from well-known myths to suggest extreme mental states in narratives that invite the reader to occupy psychological spaces of delusion and fantasy. Material from previously unpublished letters reveals the extent to which Mansfield influenced du Maurier’s writing and this close analysis demonstrates how examining these writers in tandem provides a valuable mean of accessing their work in a new way. Du Maurier’s critical reputation is current undergoing a process of revision which echoes the way in which Mansfield has come to be increasingly regarded as one of the ‘high priestesses’ of modernism.

Introduction. Technologies of mathematical and logical modeling of problem solving according to the existing practice of their distribution are divided into two areas: widespread mathematical modeling and infological modeling which is currently underdeveloped, especially for sophisticated systems. Fundamental differences between these technologies, in particular for the machining preproduction, are that logical modeling is informationally and logically related to organization systems, and mathematical modeling is associated with control processes in the organization systems. Logical modeling is used to operate with geometric objects in the technological schemes of their interaction through basing methods, geometric shaping in a static (ideal) setting of the corresponding schemes. Mathematical simulation is used to operate material objects in the control processes of their transformations through cutting methods, i.e. imperfectly, considering heterogeneous errors. Between the organization systems under study and management processes in them, there are information and logical links of their organic unity, which deny their separate consideration. In the information deterministic technology for solving problems of a high-level automation, the distinction between the concepts of “mathematical” and “logical” modeling is relevant; it has scientific novelty and practical significance.Materials and Methods. To characterize the properties of the concepts of “mathematical modeling”, “logical modeling” and the knowledge functions resulting from the formulation of these concepts, fundamentally different methods and appropriate tools are used. The differentiation of the concepts under consideration is based on the differentiation of technologies (methods, appropriate tools, algorithms, operations) for solving applied problems of any knowledge domain.Research Results. The ideas of “logical modeling” and “mathematical modeling” are conceptual general-theoretical notions with invariant properties required for solving practical problems of any application domain. In accordance with the distinction between these concepts, the problem solving technologies are divided into two types: system engineering technology – in the organization of information object systems, and system science – in the management processes of transformation of the corresponding material objects. These areas should exist in the information and logical link of their organic unity.Discussion and Conclusions. The author distinguishes between the concepts of “logical modeling” and “mathematical modeling”, which is a key condition for a successful transition to the deterministic information technology of a high-level automation in solving practical problems of any knowledge domain, for example, of the production design machining

The article analyzes various forms of protecting the right to a favorable environment, examines the concept of a form of protecting rights as a legal category. Based on the analysis of regulatory and scientific sources, the author has classified the forms of protection of the right to a favorable environment provided for in the law. Depending on the endowment of the subject carrying out the defense with the authority to use state coercion, the author identifies two large independent forms of protection: state and non-state. The author notes the legal uncertainty regarding the content of the right to a healthy environment, which complicates its protection. The positions of scientists who consider the right to a favorable environment in a narrow and broad sense are analyzed. Attention is drawn to the fact that the mechanism for protecting the right and the content of the right to a favorable environment are in organic unity and thus in the aggregate affect the formation of forms and methods of protecting the right to a favorable environment by a person. In conclusion, the author formulates the conclusions of the study, relying not only on the current legislation of the Russian Federation, but also on the established judicial practice, as well as on the scientific dogmas of Russian scientists in the field under study.

Abstract The article challenges the fashionable but finally unsupportable opinion in political and academic circles that there exists no compelling, unitary, universally resonant moral and legal justification of human rights. The argument is intimated by two overlooked passages in the preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that presuppose the right of self-defense against arbitrary force, understood as both a moral and legal concept, and as relevant both to personal and collective life. It shows how the logic of defensive force underlies the three formative human rights instruments: the UDHR, and the two covenants on political, legal, economic, social, and cultural rights. The underlying claim is that good reasons of a particular kind are required to justify any use of force, a claim that makes perfect sense against the backdrop of the atrocities committed by the German fascists and their allies in the mid-twentieth century. The article also refers to compelling, if preliminary, evidence of the widespread cross-cultural acceptance of the moral and legal right of self-defense, suggesting a basis for the worldwide comprehensibility and appeal of human-rights language.
