Background/Objectives: In this study, research to improve efficiency of online advertising market, we would like to propose a new performance index called "Leakage Ratio" which can increase the efficiency of advertisement. Methods/Statistical analysis: Naver, the Internet portal site in Korea, is the most influential medium for online keyword search advertising. In this study, Leakage Ratio management is applied to online keyword search ads for five medium and large size online shopping malls at Naver. Based on the performance trend of each search keyword, we tried to improve the efficiency of the whole advertisement by changing the bid of the low efficiency keyword.

The article deals with the new project — the Internet portal Dostoevsky and the World, launched by the Pushkin House for the 200th anniversary of the writer’s birth. The work offers the basic information on the project. The Internet resource that would host the most representative examples of the reception of Dostoevsky’s personality and work in various epochs and in various countries is a great way to familiarize the modern reader with the wide scope of interest in Dostoevsky in the past and present. The project focuses on the non-academic reception, philosophical and aesthetic interpretations, the attitudes of public fi gures, writers, stage and movie directors, publicists, etc. The collection of case studies of Dostoevsky’s reception by today’s cultural fi gures, as well as the publication of the previously unknown writer-related sources of the past years, are of particular importance.

Summary Background: The complexity and quality requirements for the development of clinical practice guidelines steadily increase. Internet technologies support this process by optimizing the development process. Objective: The aim of this internet based solution was to facilitate the development of clinical practice guidelines. Methods: An internet portal was developed allowing for a shared workplace to support clinical practice guideline authoring. It is based on a Content Management System and combines different tools for document handling and editing, communication as well as process and team steering. Results: Until now, the internet portal has been successfully implicated in the development of six evidence- and consensus-based clinical practice guidelines. Additional German and European clinical practice guidelines are currently generated with support of the internet portal. The available tools allow for a flexible design of the scheduled workflow, depending on the requirements of the respective group. An additional strength of the platform is the advantage to transfer all data from a previous version of a guideline into the next ‘life-cycle‘. Conclusion: The application of the portal results in a considerable reduction of costs and development time of the resulting clinical practice guidelines.

The financial service is facing a new delivery challenge in the shape of the Internet and e-commerce (Akamavi, 2005). The Internet as a channel for banking service delivery is fundamentally different from other channels such as branch networks, telephone banking, or automated teller machines (ATMs). The term e-banking is often used interchangeably with online banking, Internet banking, and PC banking. For example, Pikkarainen, Pikkarainen, Karjaluoto, and Pahnila (2004) define online banking as an Internet portal, through which customers can use different kinds of banking services ranging from bill payment to making investments. A bank’s Web site offering only information without possibility to conduct any transactions is not qualified as online banking. Lbbotson and Moran (2003) use the term “electronic forms of banking”, which includes telephone banking, PC banking, and Internet banking. In line with this definition, Lassar, Manolis, and Lassar (2005) refer e-banking as various formats or technologies, including telephone banking, direct bill payment, electronic fund transfer, PC banking, and online (Internet) banking. In this article, e-banking is referred to Internet banking or Online banking that it must enable Internet based transactions. This distinguishes e-banking from other electronic-based remote banking. E-banking can be carried out anywhere from a device with an Internet connection and it enables access to account information and conduct online transactions. E-banking brings up unique types of challenges and requires novel solutions (Shah & Gupta, 2005; Southard & Siau, 2004). This article reviews how e-banking has been developed in Abbey National PLC (Public Limited Company) with a focus on the important issues when implementing e-banking applications1.
