Indonesia merupakan negara kepulauan yang mempunyai lebih dari 13.000 pulau. Wilayahnya terletak di antara Samudera Hindia dan Samudera Pasifik dan dilewati oleh Pacific Ring of Fire sehingga banyak gunung berapi aktif. Berdasarkan letak geografis mempunyai potensi tsunami dan gempa bumi cukup tinggi. Diperlukan rencana penanggulangan bencana yang baik untuk menekan risiko yang bisa terjadi, salah satunya dengan mitigasi bencana. Mitigasi bencana adalah serangkaian upaya untuk mengurangi risiko bencana, baik melalui pembangunan fisik maupun penyadaran dan peningkatan kemampuan menghadapi ancaman bencana. Mitigasi bencana diperlukan untuk mengurangi dampak yang ditimbulkan terutama korban jiwa. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan sistem peringatan dini. Sistem peringatan dini terdiri dari 3 komponen utama yaitu sensor untuk mendapatkan nilai dari suatu lingkungan, controller untuk mengolah nilai yang diterima, dan aksi yang dilakukan berdasarkan hasil dari pengolahan. Untuk membuat sistem yang efektif diperlukan komunikasi yang memadai. Messaging queue digunakan oleh industri untuk komunikasi antar perangkat lunak, perangkat keras, dan embedded system. Penelitian berfokus pada penggunaan ActiveMQ Artemis sebagai messaging queue sebagai server untuk komunikasi dengan internet of things (IoT). Keunggulan ActiveMQ Artemis dapat dijalankan di Raspberry Pi 3 dengan sedikit modifikasi. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa ActiveMQ Artemis dapat digunakan untuk komunikasi IoT pada simulasi sistem mitigasi bencana.

Internet of Things, also known as abbreviation IoT, is a hardware device (Raspberry Pi) that can connect to the internet with the aim of expanding the internet network connected to the hardware. The development of the Internet of things is a 4.0 technological revolution which is again the current trend. One of the uses of IoT technology is controlling room lights through an internet network that is controlled via a smartphone that can be operated remotely anywhere and anytime. But so far the control of the lights at STMIK Amik Riau is still done manually where security officers approach the swish button to turn on the lights. Therefore it is necessary to design a device that can control electronic equipment (lights) in real time. Where this study aims to build remote-controlled devices by utilizing internet technology to carry out an Internet of Things (IoT) based light control process. This research was conducted by building a prototype with python and mobile based programming applications. In this study there is a room lighting control feature with the first condition that one lamp is used to turn on a lamp and the second condition is used to turn on the lights simultaneously and coupled with camera modules to monitor the condition of the room

Pets in the home need particular attention and care. They must be provided with food, beverages, and medicine as soon as possible. Due of most owners' hectic lifestyles, this job may not be as easy as anticipated. Inadequate attention to the requirements of pets may have serious consequences such as hunger and illness, among other things. In light of the above, this paper presents an Internet of Things-based automated feeder system that use the Raspberry Pi for remote control, scheduling, and intelligence. Its design and subsequent execution are anticipated to at least take care of the nutritional aspects of pets by delivering food, beverages, and medicine to pets on a schedule or as needed in the absence of the owner. As a result, the goal of this study is to automate the monitoring and feeding procedure, which is now done manually by pet owners. The four-wheeled system allows it to effortlessly climb stairs. Because of its body weight, the mechanism generates traction. The robot has applications such as remote feeding of every kind of animal from afar, remote exploration of the house to deceive thieves into believing someone is at home. It also lets you customise daily meals, keep your pet secure while you are away from home, store up to 7 pound, keep food fresh, and monitor your pet's nutrition. The robot may also prevent a person from eating a particular meal while allowing other animals to access the food. All these features attract owners of more than one animal to the robot.

Pada era perkembangan teknologi di masa depan, teknologi sangat berkembang pesat khususnya pada bidang robotika dan persenjataan alutsista.  Robot mempunyai peran penting pada era masa kini karena sangat membantu segala aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh manusia. Umumnya robot bergerak dengan dikendalikan remote control yang jaraknya terjangkau, dan sekarang ini dengan adanya kendali menggunakan Internet of Things (IoT) robot dapat dikendalikan melalui jarak jauh asalkan terjangkau oleh jaringan internet pada daerah tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode mixing yang terdiri dari kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pada penelitian ini, robot tempur CIA versi N2MR3 dibuat sedemikian rupa sehingga dapat bergerak ke segala arah. Robot tempur CIA versi N2MR3 dilengkapi dengan kamera sebagai mata pada robot tempur tersebut, serta dilengkapi dengan senjata yang dapat dikendalikan oleh operator untuk membantu tugas prajurit TNI dalam melaksanakan pengintaian maupun penyerangan. Robot tempur CIA versi N2MR3 dilengkapi juga dengan fungsi OMSP (Operasi Militer Selain Perang) yaitu penyemprot disinfektan dan mesin pemotong rumput dan pergerakan robot tempur dapat di monitor menggunakan GCS (Ground Control System) yang saling terkoneksi, kemudian data-data pengontrolan tersebut dikirimkan ke raspberry pi melalui komunikasi serial.

Pengembangan aplikasi ini didasari oleh tingkat efisiensi penggunaan teknologi augmented reality yang masih minimum, khususnya dibidang rumah tangga. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan dibidang tersebut dan menjadi dasar dalam membangun aplikasi augmented reality yang digunakan untuk mengatur peralatan rumah tangga yang dijembatani oleh Internet of Things. Dalam aplikasinya, augmented reality akan ditanamkan didalam smartphone android dan dapat dikontrol menggunakan gestur jari tangan pada layar dan ditampilkan menggunakan kamera. Perintah akan dikirimkan ke Raspberry Pi yang berperan sebagai server MQTT dan akan mengirimkannya ke NodeMCU via internet untuk mengontrol alat rumah tangga. Server terhubung dengan NodeMCU menggunakan protokol MQTT “mosquitto” dalam mengirimkan perintah. Hasilnya aplikasi augmented reality yang dibuat menggunakan Unity dapat berjalan dan menghubungkan semua sistem menjadi satu karena adanya satu protokol yang menjembataninya yaitu MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport).

Sistem keamanan rumah merupakan implementasi yang harus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan keamanan dari kejadian yang tidak diinginkan. Beberapa implementasi hanya memberikan notifikasi sederhana berupa alarm dan tidak menjadi bukti yang kuat apabila terjadi pencurian. Salah satu solusi yang dilakukan adalah penempatan kamera untuk memantau keamanan rumah secara real time diintegrasikan dengan penyimpanan cloud. Bluemix merupakan salah satu provider untuk aplikasi cloud yang memiliki layanan pengolahan dan penyimpanan data, akses aplikasi mobile, pengawasan serta Internet of Things (IoT). Sistem yang diimplementasikan adalah integrasi Raspberry Pi dengan layanan Bluemix untuk melakukan pengawasan keamanan rumah dan memberikan notifikasi kepada pengguna. Sistem mendeteksi jarak menggunakan sensor HC-SR04 terhadap objek dan apabila jarak melewati acuan, hal tersebut adalah indikasi terjadinya pencurian. Berikutnya sistem akan menyalakan buzzer sebagai keluaran suara dan mengaktifkan kamera untuk mengambil gambar lalu diunggah ke object storage Bluemix. Langkah berikutnya yaitu layanan IBM push notification memberikan notifikasi ke perangkat Android pengguna. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menghalangi pembacaan sensor sehingga terjadi indikasi pencurian. Hasilnya adalah sistem berhasil menyalakan buzzer, mengambil gambar lalu diunggah ke Bluemix, dan notifikasi berhasil masuk pada Android. Notifikasi diterima oleh file browser pada perangkat Android dan dilakukan sinkronisasi dengan object storage untuk melakukan pengunduhan berkas gambar yang telah diunggah sebelumnya.Kata kunci: Bluemix, Raspberry Pi, object sorage, IBM push notification Home security system is an implementation that needs to be done to improve the security of unwanted events. Some implementations only provide a simple notification such as alarm and cannot become strong evidence in case of theft. One of the solutions is camera placement to monitor home security in real time integrated with cloud storage. Bluemix is a provider for cloud applications that have data processing and storage services, mobile application access, monitoring and Internet of Things (IoT). System implemented was integration of Raspberry Pi with Bluemix services to conduct home security surveillance and provide notification to user. System detected distance using HC-SR04 sensor to object and if distance passes the reference, it was an indication of theft. Next, system will turned on buzzer as a sound output and activating the camera to take picture and uploaded to Bluemix Object Storage. Next step was IBM push notification service giving notification to user's Android device. The testing was done by blocking the sensor readings so that there was an indication of theft. The result was system succeeded in turning on the buzzer, taking pictures, uploading pictures to Bluemix, and notification successfully logged on Android. Notifications are received by the file browser on Android device and synchronized with object storage to download image files that have been uploaded previously.Keywords: Bluemix, Raspberry Pi, object storage, IBM push notification

With the development in the education system, considering the latest current online exam system, a new projection of online exam system based on Raspberry pi IOT is proposed, and the key implementation techniques and methods are also described. The growing ubiquity of wireless, RFID mobile and sensor devices has provide a promising opportunity to build the powerful examination systems and applications by Internet of Things (IoT). A wide range of IoT applications have been developed in recent years. In an effort to understand the development of IoT in online examination, here we propose the current research of IoT, IOT key enabling technologies, major IoT applications in online examination and identifies research trends and challenges. Here we initially all the examine details are stored in the server. Then By applying face recognition (in Open CV based) technique, you can start the online examination. Due to sometime unwanted person also enter to wright the exam, so this is the best way to identified any culprits are found or not.

The Status

Internet of things is the present technology that permits us to control hardware via the internet. Using IOT system, we can link the physical devices and possess the ability to send or transfer data over a network with either human-to-human or human-to-system interaction. This paper explains how to control home appliances using Internet of Things. The microcontroller we are using for this project is Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi is interfaced with Wi-Fi modem for transmitting and receiving commands over the internet. To switch loads, we are using relays. Once the user passes instructions over the internet to switch on the appliance, the raspberry pi processes these commands and operates accordingly. Liquid Crystal Display is used to display the status of the system. Hence, IOT based home automation setup allows us to control home appliances over the internet.
