The egalitarian solution for the class of convex TU games was defined by Dutta and Ray [1989] and axiomatized by Dutta 1990. An extension of this solution — the egalitarian split-off set (ESOS) — to the class of non-levelled NTU games is proposed. On the class of TU games it coincides with the egalitarian split-off set [Branzei et al. 2006]. The proposed extension is axiomatized as the maximal (w.r.t. inclusion) solution satisfying consistency à la Hart–Mas-Colell and agreeing with the solution of constrained egalitarianism for arbitrary two-person games. For ordinal convex NTU games the ESOS turns out to be single-valued and contained in the core. The totally cardinal convexity property of NTU games is defined. For the class of ordinal and total cardinal convex NTU games an axiomatic characterization of the Dutta–Ray solution with the help of Peleg consistency is given.

Given an n-person game (N, v), a reduced game (T, vT) is the game obtained if some subset T of the players assumes reasonable behavior on the part of the remaining players and uses that as a given so as to bargain within T. This "reasonable" behavior on the part of N-T must be defined in terms of some solution concept, ϕ, and so the reduced game depends on ϕ. Then, the solution concept ϕ is said to be consistent if it gives the same result to the reduced games as it does to the original game. It turns out that, given a symmetry condition on two-person games, the Shapley value is the only consistent solution on the space of TU games. Modification of some definitions will instead give the prekernel, the prenucleolus, or the weighted Shapley values. A generalization to NTU games is given. This works well for the class of hyperplane games, but not quite so well for general games.

At present, the problem of establishing disability is a point at issue in Russia. Despite the fact that medical criteria for disability are being developed very actively, high-quality methods for assessing social hallmarks are still lacking. Since disability is a phenomenon inherent in any society, each state forms a social and economic policy for people with disabilities in accordance with its level of development, priorities and opportunities. We have proposed a three-stage model, which includes a system for the consistent solution of the main tasks aimed at studying the causes and consequences of the problems encountered today in the social protection of citizens with health problems. The article shows why the existing approaches to the determination of disability and rehabilitation programs do not correspond to the current state of Russian society and why a decrease in the rate of persons recognized as disabled for the first time does not indicate an improvement in the health of the population. The authors proposed a number of measures with a view to correcting the situation according to the results of the study.

We show that the Aumann–Davis–Maschler bargaining set and the Mas-Colell bargaining set of a non-leveled NTU game that is either ordinal convex or coalition merge convex coincides with the core of the game. Moreover, we show by means of an example that the foregoing statement may not be valid if the NTU game is marginal convex.

Abstract This paper studies optimal time-consistent strategies for the mean-variance portfolio selection problem. Especially, we assume that the price processes of risky stocks are described by regime-switching SDEs. We consider a Markov-modulated state-dependent risk aversion and we formulate the problem in the game theoretic framework. Then, by solving a flow of forward-backward stochastic differential equations, an explicit representation as well as uniqueness results of an equilibrium solution are obtained.

The Boltzmann transport equation (BTE) for multiple bands is solved by the spherical harmonic approach. The distribution function is obtained for energies greater than 3 eV. The BTE is solved self consistently with the Poisson equation for a one dimensional npn bipolar junction transistor (BJT). The novel features are: the use of boundary fitted curvilinear grid, and Scharfetter Gummel type discretization of the BTE.

Possible strong interaction effects arising when the Higgs mass MH is sufficiently large are investigated in the system of interacting Higgs, using dispersion relations (N/D method). A simple model indicates that for MH≳1 TeV several such effects are present: an 1=0 bound state, large s-wave phase shifts and a resonance-like state. In the range 1.5≲MH≲3.5 TeV the above bound state amounts to an approximate bootstrap (self-consistent) solution for the Higgs with respect to both its mass and coupling. Other aspects of the H-H strong interaction system are also investigated.
