Abstract Introduction The survey was conducted to establish the level access to the Children’s Health Program and the Maternal Health Program of the National Health Insurance Fund by marginalized groups. The survey was conducted in the period September-December, 2018 and covered 315 women from Nadezhda neighbourhood (Roma community),Sliven. The methodology used is social accountability and legal empowerment. Methods The survey was conducted through a face-to-face survey. A questionnaire was used with closed and open questions. Consultation with those people was anonymous. We used a “cold contact’ and a “snowball’ method. Results Almost all respondents - 97.7% - have a GP.All (who have the contact of their GP) can easily contact their doctor, although only 7 (2.3%) have the phone number of their GPs. Almost 90% pay part of the cost of treatment, few are cases of full payment or no payment.Quite low - 40.9% - are the rates of visits to the GP in the first month after birth and the appointed (mandatory and due) examinations. Only 45% were examined in the first month after birth by the testimonies of the respondents. It is imperative to take steps to raise the percentage of mothers who visit doctor’s office and receive an examinations.74.2% say they adhere to the children’s food-hygiene regime. The remaining 20.95% point out the lack of funds and the poor living conditions in the neighborhood (noise, stopping water, etc.) as reasons for not adhering to the regime. While only about 20% claim to have faced discriminatory treatment (just over 30% say they have not experienced it, and nearly half do not respond), there are indicative responses to discriminatory treatment - division in the maternity ward, offensive speech, etc. Conclusions The study achieves its goals - to provide an adequate picture of maternal access to prenatal and pediatric medical care, as well as the difficulties to ensure maximum care for children. Key messages Roma children are not treated equally under the Children’s Health. Roma mothers do not have equal access to the Maternity Health Program.

The relevance of this work is determined by a decrease in the physical capabilities of the younger generation that has been recorded in recent years, an increase in the incidence of acute and chronic diseases, which necessitates the formation and improvement of the effectiveness of health-improving measures. The influence of shortterm rest and the effectiveness of health improvement on the somatometric and physiometric indicators of children has been studied. Examined 201 people aged 7 — 15 years, who were for a period of rest in the children’s health center (DOC). Analysis of the somatometric and physiometric indicators of children in the dynamics of staying in the preschool center for a week without positive dynamics, which indicates that such shifts should be considered not health-improving, but shifts for organizing children’s recreation.

Infectious diseases (ARI/Acute Respiratory Infection) that repeatedly cause children's health to increase in the pattern of children's appetite which can lead to less nutritional status of children. This study was to analyze the relationship between the incidence of stunting and the frequency and duration of ARI in children under  five in the Kenjeran Health Center Surabaya Working Area. Analytical research design with cross sectional design in 4 villages between Kenjeran Village, Bulak Village, Kedung Cowek Village, and Sukolilo Village. Data retrieval is done by questionnaire sheet and observation using microtoise, sample technique uses Sampling Probability by using Stratified Random Sampling as many as 152 children. The results of research on children under five who experience the incidence of stunting with the frequency and duration of ARI indicate children who experience stunting and longer frequency. The Rho Spearmen Test showed differences in the incidence of stunting with the frequency of ARI frequency p = 0.001 (p<? = 0, 05), the duration of ARI p = 0.001 (p<? = 0.05). The implication of this study is that stunting is related to the frequency and duration of ARI, so that posyandu activities can add counseling about children's health that requires the treatment of ARI in children under five in the Kenjeran Health Center Surabaya. Keywords: Stunting incidence, frequency, duration, ARI/Acute Respiratory Infection ABSTRAK Penyakit infeksi (ISPA) yang berulang menyebabkan kondisi kesehatan anak menurun sehingga berdampak pada pola nafsu makan anak yang dapat menyebabkan status gizi anak kurang.

School holidays can be stressful periods for children from low-income families. Poor provision of appropriate childcare, limited access to enrichment activities, and food insecurity mean that children’s health and well-being can suffer and their learning stagnate or decline. This article examines and documents the evidence that has emerged on this topic and aims to raise its profile and the impact on children’s lives. It makes the case for further academic scrutiny of this unexamined and neglected subject.

Objective. To evaluate the accuracy of immunization records transcribed into a computer-based immunization tracking system and to assess factors that contribute to inaccurate or incomplete immunization record keeping. Design. Computer-stored immunization records were analyzed for 2098 children up to 2 years of age at the time of their most recent well-child visit to the UCLA Children's Health Center over a 12-month period. For children whose immunizations were not up to date, the computer-stored records were analyzed for sources of inaccuracy by comparison with the handwritten records from which the computer-stored data were transcribed. Results. An underimmunization rate of 22.5% (472 of 2098) was observed based on analysis of the computer-stored records. Comparison of the computer-stored and handwritten records revealed an overall transcription error rate of at least 10.2%. In addition, 38.4% of these apparently underimmunized children had received unrecorded immunizations from providers outside UCLA. When transcription errors were corrected and other available sources of immunization data were taken into account, the estimated rate of underimmunization decreased from 22.5% to 10.9%. Conclusion. Unavoidable inaccuracies can diminish the utility of the data recorded in an immunization tracking system. Some inaccuracies are related to the process of transcription, but failures to record and communicate immunization data consistently also contribute to the inaccuracy of computer-stored immunization records.
