The half-direct-drive transmission is conducted for the transmission system of tidal current power stations using a small speed-up ratio of planetary gearbox between turbine and generator. A design model is developed for the optimization of the planetary gear transmission system. And a mixed genetic algorithm is applied on the basis of fundamentals of genetic algorithm to carry out the optimization. From the example calculation, a better design scheme is obtained by the optimization.

Electromechanical coupling effect must be considered in the dynamic analysis of permanent magnet AC servo-driven precision gear transmission system. According to the global coupling and local coupling analysis in servo-driven system, the global electromechanical coupling relation diagram of whole system and the local electromechanical coupling relation diagram of the permanent magnet synchronous motor-precision gear transmission subsystem are established. For this subsystem, a physical model is built up. And a mathematical model is constituted by using Lagrange-Maxwell equation, that is the dynamic equation of the subsystem. The mathematical model can provide theoretical basis for follow-up researches.

The effects of gear manufacturing error on the dynamic characteristics of planetary gear transmission system of wind turbine are studied in this paper. Firstly, the static transmission error combined with manufacturing error of the gear is deduced. Then, the nonlinear dynamic model of planetary gear transmission system of wind turbine is set up with the consideration of time-varying mesh stiffness, backlash and manufacturing error. Finally, the statistical characteristics of Vibration displacement response process of each component of planetary gear transmission system are obtained by simulation analysis of the planetary gear system of 1.5MW Semi-direct drive wind turbine with the consideration of the torque fluctuation caused by wind speed. The research results lay a foundation for reliability design and optimizing of gear transmission system of wind turbine.

As the key system of NC gear shaping machine, the principle property of the drive transmission system have a decisive influence upon a complete machine. The virtual prototype of drive gear transmission system was created by Romax analysis software in this paper, and made simulation after establishing some constraint conditions according to the working conditions. Both ISO 281 and Romax Adjusted are applied to analyze and predict fatigue life of each bearing, then through using the principle of Miner, all the damage percentage were added together under different conditions. The results showed that all bearings used in the virtual prototype of drive gear transmission system meet the requirements of mechanical performances. This study provides theory basis for follow-up design and optimization on NC gear shaping machines drive transmission system.

According to the working characteristics of a 1.5 MW wind turbine planetary gear system under complex and random wind load, a two-parameter Weibull distribution model is used to describe the distribution of random wind speed, and the time-varying load caused by random wind speed is obtained. The nonlinear dynamic model of planetary gear transmission system is established by using the lumped parameter method, and the relative relations among various components are derived by using Lagrange method. Then, the relative relationship between the components is solved by Runge Kutta method. Considering the influence of random load and stiffness ratio on the planetary gear transmission system, the nonlinear dynamic response of cyclic load and random wind load on the transmission system is analyzed. The analysis results show that the variation of the stiffness ratio makes the planetary gear have abundant nonlinear dynamics behavior and the planetary gear can get rid of chaos and enter into stable periodic motion by changing the stiffness ratio properly on the premise of ensuring transmission efficiency. For the variable pitch wind turbine, the random change of external load increases the instability of the system.

The inherent characteristics of the wind generators growth gearbox were solved, then the reasons which caused the gear transmission system generating dynamic incentive was analyzed, and also internal incentive and external incentive were given to 2MW wind generators gear transmission system quantitatively. On the basis of these, 2MW wind generators growth gearbox system’s vibration response caused under internal incentive and external incentive was solved and analyzed.

AbstractIn order to study the different backlash, gear damping ratio and random disturbance on dynamic behavior of gear transmission system, stochastic dynamic equations of the three-degree-of-freedom spur gear transmission system are established considering random disturbances of a low-frequency external excitation induced by torque fluctuation, gear damping ratio, gear backlash, excitation frequency and meshing stiffness. Using bifurcation diagram, phase diagram, time course diagram, Poincaré map and power spectrum of the system, the dynamic characteristics of the gear transmission system with different backlash under gear damping ratio changing, and the influence of the random disturbance of gear damping ratio on the bifurcation characteristic of system are analyzed. Numerical simulation shows that the gear transmission system will be from periodic motion with a noisy disturbance to chaotic-like motion by period-doubling bifurcation with decreasing gear damping ratio. In the small damping ratio range, the backlash has great effect on the motion characteristics. Random disturbance has an important effect on the bifurcation characteristics.
