Twenty species of fungi associated with blight symptom of different plant parts of Tagetes erecta L. and T. patula L. have been described. The associated fungi were Alternaria alternata (Fr.) Keissler, Aspergillus flavus Link, A. fumigatus Fresenius, A. niger van Tieghem, Bipolaris australiens is (M.B. Ellis) Tsuda &Ueyama, Chaetomium globosum Kunze, Cladosporium elatum (Harz) Nannf., Corynespora cambrensis M. B. Ellis, Curvularia brachyspora Boedijn, C. fallax Boedijn, C. lunata (Wakker) Boedijn, C. stapeliae(du Plessis) Hughes &du Plessis, Epicoccum purpuras cens Ehrenb. ex Schlecht,, Fusarium semitectum Berk. & Rav., Monochaetia ceratoniae (Sousa da Camera) Sutton, Nigrospora panici Zimm., Penicillium italicum Wehmer, Rhizopus stolonifer (Ehrenb.: Fr.) Vuill, Trichoderma viride Pers. and Trichothecium roseum Link.

Marigold (Tagetes L.) is species of plants widely spread all over the world which is used in folk medicine for treating gastro-intestinal and infectious diseases. Multicomponent chemical composition assures large-scaled therapeutic action for the medicines obtained. Extractions and biological active substances from Marigold (Tagetes L.) as a promising source for new vegetable medicines attract attention of scientific community. Therefore, studying acute toxicity in lipophilic extractions from Tagetes L. is of great scientific and practical significance. The aim of this research was studying acute toxicity in lipophilic extractions from Tagetes patula L., undersized, brand Goldkopfen and Tagetes erecta L., high-sized, brand Hawaji in epicutaneous application and intragastric administration. The samples for research have been obtained from Tagetes dried raw material by extraction with corn oil refined and deodorized. The research has been carried out on white non-standard rats according to the Ukrainian legislation. Single external application of the sample in dosages 0.7500ml/cm², 0.3750ml/cm², 0.1875ml/cm² was used to assess toxicity. Studying acute toxicity in intragastric administration has been performed by Litchfield–Wilcoxonу technique on three linear groups of animals. To attain higher dosages the samples have been introduced repeatedly at intervals 30 minutes within 120–180 minutes. During experiment no statistically reliable changes in behavior and general condition in animals have been noted. Pathomorphologic examination revealed no deviations in structure and mass indices for internal organs. It has been determined that lipophilic extractions from inflorescences of Tagetes patula L., undersized, brand Goldkopfen and Tagetes erecta L., high-sized, brand Hawaji are nontoxic both in intragastric administration in limiting dosage and in epicutaneous application, therefore they can be attributed to the VI class of toxicity and they are suitable for obtaining vegetable medicines.

Sebagian besar tanaman herba dalam keluarga bunga matahari. Tanaman ini digambarkan sebagai genus oleh Carl Linnaeus pada tahun 1753. Genus berasal dari Amerika Utara dan Amerika Selatan. Diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Inggris disebut big Marigold, bahasa latin Tagetes Erecta L adalah genus tahunan dan abadi, Bunga tahi ayam sering disebut sebagai kenikir, randa kencana dan ades (Indonesia), tahi kotok (Sunda), amarello (Filipina), African Marigold, Astec Marigold, American Marigold, Big Marigold (Inggris).Tagetes Erecta L, termasuk ke dalam keluarga Compositae (Asteraceae) dan mempunyai 59 species.

ABSTRAK: Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengembangan formula sediaan hand and body cream dengan memanfaatkan sumber antioksidan yang dimiliki oleh dua jenis ekstrak etanol yaitu ekstrak bunga pacar air merah (Impatiens balsamina L.) dan bunga gemitir (Tagetes erecta L.) dengan taraf perlakuan sebesar 1% dari masing-masing ekstrak (FPM dan FG) dan campuran 0,5% ekstrak pacar air merah dan 0,5% ekstrak gemitir (FCPMG). Pengujian terhadap  produk dilakukan pada sifat fisikokimia  meliputi pH, viskositas, aktivitas antioksidan, angka lempeng total mikroba, dan ukuran partikel. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian produk hand and body cream yang dihasilkan memiliki antioksidan yang cukup tinggi sebagai produk perawatan tubuh dengan penambahan 1% ekstrak etanol pacar air merah, gemitir dan campuran dari kedua ekstrak etanol. Kualitas produk hand and body cream yang dihasilkan baik dan memenuhi standar mutu SNI dari aspek nilai pH, viskositas, dan nilai ALT. Warna yang dihasilkan mulai dari warna kuning kemerahan sampai dengan warna kuning, dan partikel yang dimiliki oleh produk adalah nanopartikel dengan sistem polidispersi. ABSTRACT: Formulations of hand and body creams using ethanol extracts of flowers of red Impatiens balsamina L. And Tagetes erecta L. As antioxidant sources have been developed.  One percent of  extracts (FPM and FG) and the mixture of 0.5% each extracts (FCPMG) were added to the basic formula. The analysis of physicochemical properties of the products was conducted including pH, viscosity, antioxidant activity, the size of the particles, and total microbial plate numbers. Based on the results, the quality of the hand and body creams meet the national standard of Indonesia (SNI) regarding to pH, viscosity, and the total microbial numbers. The colours of the hand and body creams resulted are reddish yellow to yellow with polydispersion nanoparticles.
