The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between locus of control and impression management. The study also examines the variation in locus of control dimensions namely, internality, externality (others) and externality (chance). It further investigates the difference on perception of demographic variables (gender and marital status) and sectoral difference on impression management. The study was administered on 125 Managers who were representatives of different private and public sector organizations in Delhi/NCR. Variables in the study were assessed using validated instruments. Descriptive Statistics, t-test, Correlation and Regression were used for data analysis. Organizations will be better prepared to dig into the arena of one of the personality variable, i.e. locus of control and its relationship with impression management. The current research is imperative in providing insights into role of personality variable (locus of control) and impression management, which will be one of the pioneer researches available till date. Moreover, the research will highlight the significance of locus of control dimensions and impression management.

This study aims to investigate the effect of loss aversion, regret aversion, and market factors, on investment decision making with the moderating role of locus of control. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The survey was conducted on individual investors in the Indonesia Stock Exchange in Jakarta to obtain a sample of 281. This research uses the Structural Equation Modeling approach. The statistical tool used is LISREL 8.8. This study found that loss aversion, regret aversion, and market factors significantly influence investment decision making. Locus of control plays the role of moderation between loss aversion, regret aversion, market factors, and investment decision making. The novelty in this study reveals the research that needs to be done to encourage investors to make rational decisions and control the required rate of returns through their locus of control. This research helps investors to make decisions logically and rationally with an open mind, high-performance thoughts and positive actions for investment goals that produce positive returns.

This study examined proteges work-locus of control, mediating role of mentoring initiation and moderating role of trust in mentor for successful psychosocial mentoring relationships at work. Data were collected using a self report questionnaire from a sample of 79 employees of a large commercial bank in Pakistan. Results of multiple regression analysis indicated that proteges external work-locus of control was negatively associated with psychosocial mentoring. However proteges mentoring initiation and trust on mentor did not play mediating and moderating role respectively in this relationship. The study discusses implications for theory and practice.
