In an attempt to reduce exhaust emissions from transportation vehicles, the Taiwanese government plans to enact the "no idling emission" policy regarding motorcycles/scooters. Automatic Idling Stop and Go (AISG) technology is a simple low cost method in which the internal combustion engine is automatically powered off when the scooter stops and restarted when the driver wishes. However, due to dissimilarities between scooters and automobiles in terms of driving behavior and powertrain configuration, the AISG topology and control strategy as used in automobiles cannot be applied to scooters directly. This paper investigated the feasibility of applying the AISG control technique to scooters to enhance the system's security and reliability and address public concerns about AISG by analyzing riding behavior and security issues. The goal of this study was to demonstrate an AISG device, which included the development of a miniaturized AISG control module and control logic algorithm considering operative convenience and safety. Finally the developed AISG control module was installed in a four-stroke, electronic-fuel-injection (EFI) scooter, enabling us to perform an actual on-road test to verify the feasibility and reliability of the AISG control technology.

Non-tax state revenues are sources of Indonesian state revenues originating from levies paid by individuals or entities, where all proceeds of such revenues are managed by the government in which the proceeds from the direct or indirect benefits of services and utilization of resources and rights obtained from the state, based on taxation legislation. The purpose of this study is to ensure that government bureaucracy (governance) punishes achieving goals by implementing risk management and control. BPKP as an APIP that has authority based on the law and presidential regulation in the management of PNBP, must be proactive, initiative, anticipative to help formulate, plan, implement policies for monitoring PNBP management. Keywords: government internal control apparatus, goverment, regulation in the managemeent of PNBP

Small-scale spill detection and removal represents a fundamental concern for a wide variety of industries such as food production plants. Often these spills are detected and cleaned manually resulting in slower operations and less productivity. In this design project, a robotic solution, including detection of the spill and removal of it, is presented to maintain high productivity and operations standards in a given organization. The design consists of a plastic structure including acrylic and polylactide (PLA), a vacuum motor, spill detection electronics using image processing and control apparatus. For initial testing purposes, the robotic attachment was mounted to iRobot Create 2 as a movement platform. Testing methods consisted of rounds of spill cleaning for a variety of materials including oil and syrup. As a result of those tests, the design can be scaled to different industries such as Oil and Gas, Energy, Supermarket and Warehouses. Results show improved spill detection and removal compared to manual methods.

This paper aims to review an innovative artificial intelligence (AI) apparatus to enhance the rail transportation performance. In this light, the Sydney Metro and Melbourne Metro rail will be compared, since both of these Australian rail networks employ complex AI as part of their overall performance enhancement schemes. These two case studies further highlight the novel critical aspects of AI in rail transportation sector such as recalibration through smart system design and automation, nonlinear controls and precise design, modeling and control apparatus, and so on. As a part of such a view, different aspects of AI systems such as increased reliability and safety were also investigated. This research found that with such enhancements of system performance, the overall transportation functioning would ultimately be significantly improved. Subsequently, AI in the Australian context can be further refined based on comprehensive integration of the key factors.

Active control of turbine blade tip clearance continues to be a concern in design and control of gas turbines. Ever increasing demands for improved efficiency and higher operating temperatures require more stringent tolerances on turbine tip clearance. In this paper, a turbine tip clearance control apparatus and a model of turbine tip clearance are proposed. The active clearance control (ACC) of aero-engine turbine tip clearance is evaluated in a lapse-rate take-off transient, along with the comparative and quantitative analysis. The results show that the resultant active tip clearance control system has favorable steady-state and dynamic performance and benefits of increased efficiency, reduced specific fuel consumption, and additional service life.

Reacting to the attacks on September 11th and subsequently, governments in both the USA and UK have identified a need to enhance the social control apparatus in order to protect citizens from forms of ‘asymmetric warfare’ conducted by terrorist groups. These attempts to reform the provision of security and control cannot be understood in isolation. They are connected to a deeply entrenched process of ‘control creep’, whereby the social control apparatus progressively expands and penetrates (or ‘creeps’) into different social arenas, in response to a set of inchoate fears about a sense of security in late-modernity.
