Abstract Background:Due to demographic evolution and the progressive aging of the population, the incidence of dementia has increased worldwide. Many questions about this syndrome have not been resolved yet, such as the relationship between dementia and deficits on social cognition.Therefore, the present review aims to explore this relationship and to establish the possible differential patterns of social cognition deficits in diverse types of neurodegenerative dementias.Methods:The literature searchwas conducted in several electronic databases, including MEDLINE database via Pubmed, Cochrane Library, Lilacs, Web of Science (WoS) and PsycINFO.In order to avoid possible bias during the data extraction, all citations, abstracts information and full-text articles will be independently screen by two reviewers. Themethodological quality of thestudies will be appraised using the Joanna Briggs Institute Critical Evaluation Checklists. All studies published in English or Spanish between October 2009 and October 2019 will be taken into account.Discussion: This systematic review will summarize the evidence provided during the last 10 years regarding the relationship between neurodegenerative dementia and social cognition deficits. This could provide a useful reference to clinicians, since properly defining social cognition profile of each type of neurodegenerative dementia would improve detection and diagnosis, which would undoubtedly guarantee better interventions.Systematic review registration: PROSPERO, ID: 152562

Abstract Objectives To inform the 2020–2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, USDA and HHS identified important public health questions to be examined by the 2020 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee. The Committee conducted 2 systematic reviews with support from USDA's Nutrition Evidence Systematic Review (NESR) team to answer the following questions: What is the relationship between dietary patterns (DP) consumed during 1) pregnancy and gestational weight gain (GWG)?, and 2) lactation and postpartum weight loss (PPWL)? Methods The Committee developed protocols that described how they would use NESR's systematic review methodology to examine the systematic review questions. NESR conducted a literature search and dual-screened the results using pre-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria to identify articles published between Jan 2000 and Nov 2019. NESR extracted data and assessed risk of bias of included studies. The Committee synthesized the evidence, developed conclusion statements, and graded the strength of the evidence underlying the conclusion statements. Results Twenty-six articles were included in the GWG review and 1 article in the PPWL review. The GWG review included 5 RCTs and 21 prospective cohort studies. Two RCTs showed that a “beneficial” DP was associated with lower GWG. Thirteen of the 20 observational studies showed an association between DP and GWG. Although the DPs examined were characterized by different combinations of foods and beverages, the patterns consistently associated with lower GWG were higher in vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, and fish and lower in added sugars and red and processed meats. The PPWL review included only one RCT, which was limited by high attrition, issues with implementing the intervention, and lack of blinding. Conclusions Limited evidence suggests that certain DPs during pregnancy are associated with a lower risk of excessive GWG. These patterns are higher in vegetables, fruits, nuts, legumes, and fish, and lower in added sugar, and red and processed meat (Grade: Limited). Insufficient evidence is available to determine the relationship between DPs during lactation and PPWL (Grade: Grade Not Assignable). BackgroundUterine fibroids (UFs) are the most common form of sex steroid hormone-dependent benign tumours that grow in the walls of the uterus. Several observational studies have examined the association between obesity and the risk of UFs, but findings are inconsistent. The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to further examine the association of obesity with the risk/prevalence of UFs.MethodsA literature search was performed in three databases (PubMed, EMBASE and Web of Science) from 1 January 1992 to 30 May 2020. We used random-effect models to calculate the pooled ORs with corresponding 95% CIs. Additionally, we performed a dose–response meta-analysis to analyse the effect of body mass index (BMI), weight change since age 18, waist-to-hip ratio and waist circumference on the risk/prevalence of UFs.ResultsA total of 22 articles, covering 24 studies including 325 899 participants and 19 593 cases, were selected based on our inclusion criteria. We found a positive association between obesity and the risk/prevalence of UFs (OR, 1.19; 95% CI, 1.09 to 1.29). Among participants with the highest BMI, the pooled OR was 1.19 (1.09 to 1.31) when compared to participants with normal BMI. For weight change since age 18, the pooled OR (95% CI) of UFs was 1.26 (1.12 to 1.42) among the highest change group when compared with no change. Additionally, our meta-analysis indicated the relationship of BMI with risk of UFs to be an inverse J-shaped pattern.ConclusionsThe results of this meta-analysis suggest that obesity may increase the risk/prevalence of UFs, and the association is non-linear.

The rise of e-commerce has brought considerable changes to the relationship between firms and consumers, especially within international business. Hence, understanding the use of such means for entering foreign markets has become critical for companies. However, the research on this issue is new and so it is important to evaluate what has been studied in the past. In this study, we conduct a systematic review of e-commerce and internationalisation studies to explicate how firms use e-commerce to enter new markets and to export. The studies are classified by theories and methods used in the literature. Moreover, we draw upon the internationalisation decision process (antecedents-modalities-consequences) to propose an integrative framework for understanding the role of e-commerce in internationalisation

Was to conduct a systematic review of data on the relationship between polymorphisms genes of detoxification system and development of preeclampsia (РЕ). Рresents the main genes of detoxification system (GSTPI, GSTМI, GSTТI, GРХI, ЕРНХI, SOD-2, SOD-3, CYPIAL, MTHЕR, MTR) and their functions. Of interest is the possibility of calculating the individual risk of PE based on the results about the presence of a combination of different polymorphisms in the genotype of the female. Question about early diagnosis of РЕ remains controversial and not fully understood. It is necessary to conduct further in-depth, extended study of this problem. Key words: preeclampsia, oxidative stress, genes of the detoxification system.

The study evaluates the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Effectiveness through a Systematic Review of Literature. The relationship has been evaluated in two steps. First, a Systematic review of literature was done to provide a theoretical framework to link the dimensions of Emotional Intelligence to the elements of effective leadership. Meta-analysis was then used to consolidate empirical evidence of the relationship. The studies for the meta-analysis were sourced from Pro Quest and EBSCO and the correlation coefficients of the studies were analysed. Only articles that presented the direct relationship between the variables were included in the study. The results of the analysis revealed a strong, statistically significant relationship between emotional intelligence and effective leadership. The findings of the study provide evidence for the proposition that Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Effectiveness are interrelated.

In this systematic review protocol, we outline an approach to examine the available literature investigating the relationship between sleep and cognition in individuals with schizophrenia spectrum disorder.
