When planning and managing the present-day and future transformed electric power systems (EPS), such comparatively new properties as flexibility and cyber resilience shall be taken into account along with EPS conventional properties, such as Reliability, Security, Survivability, and Vulnerability. Large-scale introduction of renewable energy sources notably lowers the EPS flexibility. Installation of Energy Storages allows compensation of power production imbalance occurred when using renewable energy sources, which makes the energy system more robust, but lowers its cyber security. The paper considers the main performances and models of Energy Storages, their impact on flexibility and cyber security of electric networks; it also presents the technique for quantifying the flexibility of a network with Energy Storages, and identifies most promising directions of studies in this area.

This article emphasizes the importance of the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex, as noted in his Address by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. To-kayeva. Having studied the new US agricultural development strategy, which is based on modern technologies with a view to reducing the impact on the environment. The experience learned made it possible to develop an innovative approach strategy in the agro-industrial sector, that is, with the transition to modern technologies and renewable energy sources.

The article provides an overview of the current state of energy in the world and in Russia, which focuses on the development of renewable energy sources (RES). An analysis is made of the trend in the production and consumption of energy resources, as well as an assessment of the use of renewable energy in Russia. Incentives for the development of renewable energy sources with the characteristics available in the world are determined. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of developing this industry both in Russia and in the Chechen Republic, as one of its regions. An assessment is given of the development of wind and solar energy in Russia. The current power supply structure of the Chechen Republic is considered, where the indicators of maximum electric power, consumed electric power, and also electric power generation of the republic are given. The analysis of the possibility of using wind and solar energy resources, as well as small hydropower of the Chechen Republic. Options for the development and effective use of renewable energy sources are considered, taking into account the fact that the use of energy resources based on modern innovative technologies, the introduction of new promising alternative sources, and the search for ways to stimulate the use of renewable energy sources, where it is supposed to organize and introduce a tariff policy, is one of the main tasks of energy development which give a complete systemic idea of the scale of the problem of transferring the energy system to innovative rails. Some options are proposed for the most expedient development of the energy system of the Chechen Republic, the construction of small pilot plants using renewable energy sources, with the goal of actual (experimental) confirmation of the predicted calculated values, as well as the gradual mass introduction of plants using renewable energy sources in the private sector with the creation of the necessary tariff conditions for use and construction installations on an industrial scale within the framework of energy private or public companies. Priority tasks have been set for the prospective development of the republic’s energy sector by introducing renewable energy sources.

The relevance of the subject matter is conditioned upon the fact that currently the main direction of global energy development is already clearly visible: under the influence of changes in energy policy and the development of new technologies, the world is entering the stage of the fourth energy transition to the widespread use of renewable energy sources and displacement of fossil fuels. The development of Kazakhstan's economy requires the transition of energy towards clean and safe renewable sources, which will let the country build a new strong economy and break out of the long-running socio-economic decline, help the international community solve the problem of climate change and improve the safety and welfare of its citizens. The purpose of the study: The purpose of the paper is to develop recommendations for the development of Kazakhstan's energy industry at a new stage in the fundamental transformation of the global energy system. Leading approach to researching the problem. The leading methods of researching the problems of the paper include the analysis of theoretical sources, analysis of statistics, and comparison. Analysis of statistical indicators plays a crucial role in the study, since data on the development of Kazakhstan's energy industry can be directly obtained from statistical databases. The results of the study. The paper discusses the essence of the fourth energy transition, its main aspects, explores renewable energy sources, identifies the features and problems of Kazakhstan's energy industry, and develops ways to solve them. Prospects for further research. To implement the modern provisions of the fourth energy transition in Kazakhstan, it is necessary to use a systematic approach. The basic elements of such a transition are the introduction of renewable energy and energy efficiency (the intensification of reducing the energy intensity of goods and services). The materials of the paper are of practical value for the development of Kazakhstan’s energy during the period of fundamental structural transformations of the world energy sector.

India’s energy needs are in demand with the increase in energy and other electric uses which is highest among the world. There are sectors which heavily rely on energy generated by fossil fuels but there is also seen a paradigm shift towards renewable energy sources. If India continues to rely on the former then they end up blocking development in energy system meeting uncertainties and face difficulties in supply of fossil fuels. To meet the fast-growing economy, India needs to supply the energy 3-4 times more of what they are supplying now. Government of India has become aware of the situation and has started facilitating polices in action towards a sustainable energy. As of 2019, India’s on grid renewable energy capacity is 85.9 GW. Government is working to establish 500 GW of renewable energy source by 2030.

The article deals with the problems of ensuring the energy balance in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The energy system of Uzbekistan is a vertically integrated structure, which is based on electricity source generation and distribution networks. The article considers the measures significant for the introduction of renewable energy sources in the energy balance of Uzbekistan. Data on the potential of renewable energy sources and alternative energy development of Uzbekistan is presented in the paper as well.

The main objective of this paper is to present the detailed information about various renewable energy sources for creating a technique used for sustainable development. Such kind of technique comprises of energy saving, increasing energy production and replacing fossil fuels using different renewable energy sources. It is motivated to include various novel techniques with large-scale renewable energy plants for integrating and measuring the efficiency of the plants. According to India, this paper discussed about the various problems and issues associated with converting available energy systems into complete renewable energy system. From the overall discussion, it is concluded that converting total energy system into renewable energy system is possible. Also, what are all the requirements, current available resources and future methods to improve the energy system are discussed. But converting the transport sector into flexible energy system methods is difficult.

Currently, the structure of Vietnam‘s energy sources is changing, with renewable energy sources starting to play an increasing role in meeting the electricity demand and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from fossil energy sources. Vietnam's energy development strategy suggests building some renewable energy centers, of which Ninh Thuan is the first province to become the national renewable energy center. This is because of Ninh Thuan’s endowment as a province having the highest renewable energy potential in Vietnam. The development of a large renewable energy center allows power system planners to overcome the mismatch in timescales associated with expanding transmission power grid and renewable energy generation. Besides, the renewable energy center can facilitate large-scale renewable energy and storage projects. The province of Ninh Thuan, however, is located far from the main load centers of Vietnam, which is why the economic indicators need to be calculated and analyzed. This paper presents the results of an analysis of economic indicators of major renewable electricity sources in Ninh Thuan (onshore wind power, offshore wind power, and solar power) to provide scientific arguments for developing a renewable energy center in Vietnam.
