Landslides are a common problem in road engineering. Therefore, at the stage of designing new roads, it is preferable to design them in such a way as to avoid as many landslide areas as possible. In the case of existing roads running through landslide areas, one of the solutions designed to eliminate road embankment damage caused by landslide movement is to divert traffic over the landslide using a bridge structure. The article presents the results of monitoring road embankments located in a landslide prone location and a bridge, which serves to divert the voivodeship road over the active landslide. The measurements were carried out using a terrestrial laser scanner. The differential model obtained during data analysis allowed for the determination of the area and size of deformation in the analyzed area.

In Myanmar, defects and possible deformation were reported in many long-span suspension bridges. The current state of bridge infrastructure must be inspected, so that deterioration can be stalled and failure can be prevented. A 3D laser scanner, specifically the terrestrial laser scanner (TLS), has demonstrated the ability to capture surface geometry with millimeter accuracy. Consequently, TLS technology has received significant interest in various applications including in the field of structural survey. However, research on its application in large bridge structure remains limited. This study examines the use of TLS point cloud for the measurement of three deformation behaviors at the Pathein Suspension Bridge in Myanmar. These behaviors include tower inclination, hanger inclination, and deflection of bridge truss. The measurement results clearly captured the deformation state of the bridge. A comparison of the measurement results with available conventional measurements yielded overall agreement. However, errors were observed in some areas, which could be due to noise and occlusion in the point cloud model. In this study, the advantages of TLS in providing non-discrete data, direct measurement in meaningful unit, and access to difficult-to-access sections, such as top of towers or main cables, were demonstrated. The limitations of TLS as observed in this study were mainly influenced by external factors during field survey. Hence, it was suggested that further study on appropriate TLS surveying practice for large bridge structure should be conducted.

Landslides which form in anthropogenic soils are complicated from a geological engineering and geotechnical point of view. Each case requires a detailed investigation and the selection of effective reinforcements is a difficult project issue. The study presents the problem of the stability analysis of landslides occurring in the anthropogenic soils of the Kosciuszko Mound in Cracow. The previously performed protections are discussed to highlight their ineffectiveness and the current technical condition of the mound is also presented. By overlapping the results of displacement measurements made with a terrestrial laser scanner, a differential model of the terrain was created which made it possible to determine the size and direction of the deformation of the slopes of the mound and the tendencies for the development of landslide movements in this area. A cross-section, selected on the basis of the model, was numerically analysed using the finite element method (FEM) in the Midas GTS NX program. As a result of the analysis, the values of the displacements and strains occurring in the Mound were calculated. On the basis of the value of the safety factor obtained, it was also possible to assess the risk of landslide movements.

Nowadays, Indonesian government is focusing on build up infrastructures, especially power plant infrastructures to fulfil electrical energy needs. One of the power plants that will be built up is Waai power plant which located on Waai village, Maluku Province. Waai power plant had been postponed since 2014. In order to build this power plant, the advisability of the building needed to be checked from its verticality level. This level was determined by Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS). The TLS’s point clouds were registered using two methods, there are target to target and cloud to cloud methods. There are 65 beams on the power plant boiler building, but only 31 beams that used as the samples to assign the verticality of the boiler construction. The verticality level was set on the X-axis, Y-axis, and the resultant of the X and Y axis by using Pythagoras theorem after the bottom and top coordinates from each beam was determined. The Queensland Building and Construction Admission Standards and Tolerances Guide 2016 was used as tolerance of verticality level. The result of the verticality calculation presented on the X-axis consisted from -0ᵒ 1’ 26,678” to 0ᵒ 4’ 11,778” with the average was 0ᵒ 1’ 40,820” and major direction pointed the positive axis. On the Y-axis, the average was -0ᵒ 0’ 45,772” with -0ᵒ 3’ 33,345” as minimum and 0ᵒ 1’ 25,319” as the maximum and the major direction went to the negative axis. The verticality on the resultant of X and Y axis was from 0ᵒ 0’ 45,225” until 0ᵒ 4’ 15,674” with the average was 0ᵒ 2’ 27,057” and the direction was to the southeast. After the verticality number was compared with the tolerance, the verticality level was smaller than the standard on each beam. From the result, we can conclude that the boiler building on the Waai power plant can be categorized safe to reconstruct.

Abstract This paper presents results of two experimental cycles of measurements performed with the use of the terrestrial laser scanner Z+F IMAGER 5006h and the reflectorless tacheometer Leica TPS 1202. These tests aimed at determination of metric properties of surveying instruments, which are used for reflectorless distance measurements and which are often applied to project the geometry of objects. In the course of research works issues influencing the reflection of a laser beam by the measured surface, as well as their influence on the data quality. In order to analyse metric properties of applied instruments, levelling rods were used as test fields of geometrically specified division. It was stated basing on the performed analyses, that the influence of the incidental angle of a laser beam on the accuracy of reflectorless measurements is included within the limits of the error of distance measurements of a given instrument. However, the uniform trend of increasing differences between measured values and the nominal value may be noticed, together with the increase of the incidental angle of the axis of collimation on the measured surface of the test field.

This study aimed to describe the value of cohesion and coherence contained in the translation of the Qur'an surah Al Zalzalah. This study was a qualitative descriptive research, research data collection techniques using three techniques namely, inventory, rading and understanding, and record keeping. The data analysis used the coding of data, classification data, and the determination of the data. The results showed that the cohesion markers used in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: 1) reference, 2) pronouns, ie pronouns second person, and third, the relative pronoun, the pronoun pointer, pen pronouns and pronouns owner, 3 ) conjunctions, namely temporal conjunctions, coordinating conjunctions, subordinating conjunctions, and conjunctions koorelatif, and 4) a causal ellipsis. It mean that there was a coherence in the translation of surah Al Zalzalah discourse are: the addition or addition, pronouns, repetition or repetition, match words or synonyms, in whole or in part, a comparison or ratio of conclusions or results. Leukocytes or white blood cells have a characteristic characteristic of different cells. Determination of the impression of the number of leukocytes is determined in the number of cells in the field of view. While the number of viewable field cells expressed is still quite varied. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of leukocytes in the field of view and expressed the impression of a sufficient amount. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Health Analyst Department Panrita Husada Bulukumba on 9 April 2017 to 14 July 2017. This type of research is a laboratory observation that aims to determine the criteria for assessing the impression of the number of leukocytes on a peripheral blood smear. Data analysis using statistical analysis is the average and standard deviations to determine the impression of the number of leukocytes and use 3 inspection zones. The results of this study obtained results in zone IV the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 7-10, in zone V the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 4-9, and in zone VI the number of leukocyte impressions said to be sufficient was 3-8.
