The digestion by pigs of non-starch polysaccharides (NSP) in wheat and raw peas (Pisum sativum) fed in mixed diets was measured. In the four experimental diets, wheat was included at a constant 500 g/kg whilst peas contributed 0–300 g/kg and these were the only dietary sources of NSP. Separate estimates of digestibility for wheat and peas were obtained by using a multiple linear regression technique which also tested the possibility that the presence of peas might influence the digestibility of wheat NSP. There was little evidence of the latter and it was found that the digestibility of peas NSP (0.84) was considerably greater than that of wheat (0.65). The non-cellulosic polysaccharides (NCP) had twofold greater digestibilities than had cellulose for both foods with essentially all the peas NCP being digested. Faecal α-diaminopimelic acid concentration increased with feeding of peas, suggesting stimulation of bacterial biomass production in the large intestine using the readily fermented peas NSP. All three major volatile fatty acids produced by large intestinal fermentation were detected in jugular blood and increased significantly with increasing peas inclusion rate in the diet.

Evaporation is an important parameter for many projects related to hydrology and water resources systems. This paper constitutes the first study conducted in Kuwait to obtain empirical relations for the estimation of daily and monthly pan evaporation as functions of available meteorological data of temperature, relative humidity, and wind speed. The data used here for the modeling are daily measurements of substantial continuity coverage, within a period of 17 years between January 1993 and December 2009, which can be considered representative of the desert climate of the urban zone of the country. Multiple linear regression technique is used with a procedure of variable selection for fitting the best model forms. The correlations of evaporation with temperature and relative humidity are also transformed in order to linearize the existing curvilinear patterns of the data by using power and exponential functions, respectively. The evaporation models suggested with the best variable combinations were shown to produce results that are in a reasonable agreement with observation values.

This research is aimed to acquire the empirical evidence of  the influence of human resource competencies and locus of control on fraud prevention in the management of dana desa. This research has been selecting all of the 27 desa dinas in denpasar as the population. 108 respondent were collected as the sample. One of the non-probability sampling using census to obtained the data. Multiple linear regression technique analysis is applied to analyzing the data. This research shows that human resource competencies and locus of control, have given such an positive impact to the fraud prevention in the vilaage fund management . Keywords : Human Resource Competencies ; Locus Of Control Fraud.

The effect of insulin on jejunal myoelectric activity was studied in conscious dogs and sheep by injection of insulin and stimulation of insulin release. In dogs, the migrating myoelectric complex (MMC), characteristic of fasting, was replaced by a continuous pattern of activity after feeding, injection of insulin, or infusion of D-glucose, L-leucine, or L-arginine. The response to feeding was reduced in alloxan-diabetic dogs and completely abolished following additional vagotomy when only exogenous insulin induced the "fed" pattern. Vagotomy alone had only minor effects on the response to feeding. Sheep exhibit a continuous sequence of MMC, regardless of feeding, but infusion of insulin or volatile fatty acids produced activity similar to that seen after feeding in dogs. In alloxan-diabetic sheep the recurrence and intensity of the MMC were decreased, and the effect of volatile fatty acids was eliminated. Insulin injection restored the pattern to normal. Thus, insulin levels are of importance in the control of the jejunal motor profile and may mediate the postprandial disappearance of MMC in dogs.

This study aims to analyze the influence of ZIS fund's and inflation towards the economic growth in Indonesia during 2011-2015. The research method is quantitative method with multiple linear regression technique. The data used is the collected secondary data of remittances of ZIS from BAZNAS (national amil zakat agency) and inflation rate of BI (Bank of Indonesia) in Indonesia during 2011-2015 that includes monthly data all over Indonesia. The results of the research indicates that the funds of ZIS (X1) affects positively and significantly towards Indonesia's economic growth and inflation (X2) do not affect significantly to economic growth in Indonesia as well as ZIS fund and the inflation simultaneously affected the economic growth significantly during 2011-2015 in Indonesia.
