Polarization and capacitance studies as a function of applied electric field were done on the Nd and Nb -doped polycrystalline ceramic samples. The result indicates that the ceramic samples show low values of remnant polarization. The capacitance value indicates that microwave sintered samples shows higher capacitance tunability when compared to conventional sintered samples. The results obtained from electromechanical studies are also discussed.

(1-x)(0.6BIT-0.4BT)-xBiYbO3(BTBY) ceramics with high Curie temperature were prepared by the conventional processing. The effect of BiYbO3 content on the microstructure and electrical properties was investigated. The results show that the main phase of BTBY ceramics is BIT-BT, and a new phase BaBi4Ti4O15 (BBT) appeared. The grain morphology of BTPY ceramics are platelike and the grain size was significantly increased with increasing content of BiYbO3 .Tc of all the BTBY samples are above 440 . The BTBY ceramics show obvious dielectric relaxor characteristic. The dispersion factor γ, the dielectric constant εr, and the dielectric loss tanδ decreased with increasing the content of BiYbO3. When the content of BiYbO3 is 0.06, the optimal properties of BTBY ceramics are obtained, Tc is 457 , εr is 165, tanδ is 0.0223 and d33 is 10 pC·N-1.

Pr -doped Pb ( Zr 0.65 Ti 0.35) O 3 ( Pb 1-x Pr x( Zr 0.65 Ti 0.35)1-x/4 O 3, PPZT) ceramic samples are prepared using conventional solid-state sintering method, and their structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties are investigated, focusing on the effects of Pr -doping. Upon increasing Pr doping level x, a transition of the crystallographic structure from rhombohedral symmetry to tetrahedral and finally to pseudocubic symmetry is observed at x ~ 0.08. The detailed dielectric measurements present a clear indication of relaxor-like behaviors at x = 0.08, while the samples at x < 0.08 offer slightly improved ferroelectric properties compared with pure Pb ( Zr 0.65 Ti 0.35) O 3. In spite of the dielectric relaxor behaviors induced by Pr -doping, both the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of PPZT are degraded at x = 0.08. The physics underlying the Pr -doping induced relaxor behaviors is then discussed.

In this paper, an ultra-wideband Wilkinson power divider based on the quarter wavelength transformation is proposed. The proposed power divider utilizes the resonance property of the four stage quarter wavelength microstrip stubs to increase the isolation between the to output ports. As the measured results show that, the power divider has the insertion loss less than 1.3dB with the minimum isolation 15.4dB in the working frequency range from 1GHz to 5GHz. The simulated results and measured results are in good agreement and the proposed power divider can be applied in the communication systems in modern electronic engineering.
