Total Quality Management (TQM) is an overall method for managing the quality of an organization that covers products, services, performance, processes and human resources. Quality management combines the quality Trilogy, namely quality planning, quality control and quality improvement. TQM is related to the creation of a quality culture so that education providers can provide satisfaction to their customers (third parties such as parents of students) so that they want to include their children in the school while being supported by their organizational structure in doing what they want. In TQM there are main elements that must be known, namely focus on customers, obsession with quality, scientific approach, long-term commitment, teamwork, continuous system improvement, education and training, controlled freedom, unity of purpose, involvement and empowerment of employees . In order for quality education in Indonesia to be of quality, TQM is also needed as a quality controller. Various kinds of benefits that can be obtained from TQM both for institutions and customers. Among the benefits that are felt are: (1). make institutions as leaders / leaders and not followers / followers, (2). help create work teams, (3). making institutions more sensitive to customer needs, (4). making institutions ready and more adaptable to change, (5). relationships between different department staff are easier.
