The argument of the paper proposes that learning grows out of motivation which depends upon recognising and valuing the distinctive qualities of each and the cultural traditions they embody. If learning expresses a journey between worlds, the challenge for the school is to create a learning community that brings together local and cosmopolitan in its pedagogic practices. This configuration of the school and its communities, by interconnecting the symbolic orders of each, creates the conditions for relevance, motivation and learning. Excellent teachers have always sought, as a defining principle of their individual practice, to relate activities within their classroom to the interests of the child. But the argument being developed here proposes that this configuration is a strategic and systemic task for the governance of school as a whole institution.

The relationship between the school and the community is the fabric of interaction that the school strives to be accepted in the midst of the community to get aspirations, sympathy from the community. in this article discusses the understanding, principles and techniques of administration of school and community relations. and the process and role of the teacher can be covered in this article. the writing technique in this article is SLR (System Literature Review). it is very important to know what is included in the scope of this administration. Quality communication between schools and the community is the key to determining the success of this PR management. If the relationship between the school and the community runs harmoniously and dynamically, the process of education and teaching in the school is expected to be able to achieve the vision and mission that is planned. Thus the school's output will be more qualified and able to answer the needs and demands of society.

This is a revised edition of a book first published in 1939 and written primarily for parents. It represents, in the author's words, "A point of view that has grown through the years." It deals with a variety of things with which parents are concerned in rearing their children—authority and freedom, punishment, discipline, truthfulness and lying, individual capacities and formation of attitudes. There is a section on the role of the home, school and community in the child's development. The radios, movies and comics are discussed in an unprejudiced manner. Throughout the book the author reveals a sympathetic understanding of children and their parents. Her "point of view" seems to this reviewer for the most part wise and useful.

This essay examines the problematic role of Mark Twain’s much-discussed Tom Driscoll in Pudd’nhead Wilson (1894) and argues that Tom is an earlier and anti-realistic variation on the freakishly mocking Duplicates who appear in the author’s only published mysterious stranger manuscript, No. 44, The Mysterious Stranger (1916). Like the Duplicates and other of Twain’s later anti-realistic creatures, Tom seems designed primarily to torment, startle, mock, and mirror all those living in the hellish secular landscape of Dawson’s Landing. In this novel, the author both assaults and challenges his readers with an often farcical culture that tolerates and perpetuates cruel, abusive, and discriminatory cultural traditions through human ignorance, arrogance, complacency, unthinking conformity, and legal corruption.

Nonformal education in Paket A, B, and C is one of the civil right for the citizens to be easily accessible and this is held by PKBM. The research has to objective to know the characteristics of learning community and tutor, the role of PKBM Barito in providing facility and equipment for learning, social learning process of Kejar Paket B celebrated by PKBM Barito. The research uses the qualitative method. The source of data is chosen purposively, and the data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation. The research instruments are interview guide, observation sheet, and documentation. Data analysis by data reduction process, data display, and verification. The research finding say that (1) the characteristics of learning community are in variation whether in age, marital status, profession, education background, motivation, skill, the interestedness to subject, expectation after graduation, and problem in their lives. Whereas characteristics of tutor could be seen from the education level, professional competence, and pedagogic competence; (2) the role of PKBM does not work maximally whether in recruiting community learning, providing facility and equipment for learning celebration, and learning evaluation; however PKBM has the role in recruiting tutor and celebration fund; (3) the learning process of social science for Paket B has fulfilled minimal standar involving preparation, implementation, and evaluation but does not work maximally in learning for the mature learners.Key words: social science learning, Kejar Paket, PKBM role, learning community, tutor.

The paper highlights the role of food, as an instrument of identity and intercultural contact, the contribution of traditional ethnic dishes in the reconstruction of the family context, connected to the migration process, and food as a form of communication in a different social context. It reflects the consequences of the exchange process, in which changes take place both in the cultural traditions of Moldovan immigrants and in Italian customs, due to the fusion of elements and ingredients borrowed through reciprocity, thus diluting the mental and social boundaries.

The authors analyze chemistry teachers' discourse in a WhatsApp group. This online communication platform is used for continually studying the communication behavior of leading chemistry teachers who are members of a professional learning community (PLC). They describe the network of chemistry teachers' PLC in Israel, which provides the context for the study. WhatsApp enables sustained ongoing, intensive interaction, and sharing of knowledge that is practical, directly related to the members' needs, and is participant driven and constructivist in nature. A theoretical perspective of teachers' knowledge and professional development (PD) was developed in 2015 by Gess-Newsome, which was applied to examine the mechanism underlying teachers' knowledge development.

In this chapter, we will address how Yoga may contribute to psychological wellbeing. The chapter will be based on review of relevant literature in the backdrop of the theoretical framework of Self-Efficacy developed by Albert Bandura in his comprehensive ‘social cognitive theory of human motivation and learning'. Illustrations are included from our study: “Yoga to promote young people's mental health and well-being?” First, we will address some current social tendencies that contribute to everyday stress and challenges to people's general wellbeing. Second, we aim to have some conceptual clarification related to the concepts in our title “Yoga for psychological wellbeing”. Third, we will address how Yoga may function as a tool for self-regulation and its relationship with self-efficacy. Fourth, we will describe how Yoga is perceived as a mean to cope with stress. We will discuss how different people use Yoga to cope with stress, and how this partly relates to the role of Yoga as a tool for self-regulation.
