Nonformal education in Paket A, B, and C is one of the civil right for the citizens to be easily accessible and this is held by PKBM. The research has to objective to know the characteristics of learning community and tutor, the role of PKBM Barito in providing facility and equipment for learning, social learning process of Kejar Paket B celebrated by PKBM Barito. The research uses the qualitative method. The source of data is chosen purposively, and the data collection uses observation, interview, and documentation. The research instruments are interview guide, observation sheet, and documentation. Data analysis by data reduction process, data display, and verification. The research finding say that (1) the characteristics of learning community are in variation whether in age, marital status, profession, education background, motivation, skill, the interestedness to subject, expectation after graduation, and problem in their lives. Whereas characteristics of tutor could be seen from the education level, professional competence, and pedagogic competence; (2) the role of PKBM does not work maximally whether in recruiting community learning, providing facility and equipment for learning celebration, and learning evaluation; however PKBM has the role in recruiting tutor and celebration fund; (3) the learning process of social science for Paket B has fulfilled minimal standar involving preparation, implementation, and evaluation but does not work maximally in learning for the mature learners.Key words: social science learning, Kejar Paket, PKBM role, learning community, tutor.

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen murni (True Eksprimen). Contextual teaching learning (CTL) dapat menghubungkan kemampuan yang diharapkan apda suatu mata pelajaran dengan pekerjaan atau kehidupan sehari-hari. Peneliti membatasi masalah yaitu siswa merasa bosan ketika belajar, kurang berpartisipasi, dan rendahnya perhatian siswa ketika pelajaran IPS, sehingga hasil belajar yang didapat masih dibawah nilai KKM. Tujuan Penelitian penulisan ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) memperoleh gambaran tentang penerapan model pembelajaran CTL dalam pembelajaran IPS (2) memperoleh gambaran tentang hasil belajar IPS siswa yang diajar menggunakan Model Pembelajaran CTL. (3) mengetahui pengaruh tentang hasil belajar IPS antara yang diajar dengan model Pembelajaran CTL. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CTL berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan nilai hasil belajar IPS siswa. Setelah dianalisis pengaruh tersebut disebabkan oleh: Pertama peserta didik kelas eksperimen proses pembelajaran lebih aktif dan bermakna daripada kelas kontrol. Kedua, penerapan model pembelajaran (CTL) dikelas tiga pada penelitian ini membuat peserta didik lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Ketiga salah satu prinsip pembelajaran CTL adalah konstruktivis. Esensi dari proses konstruktivis adalah bahwa peserta didik harus dapat menemukan dan mentrasformasikan suatu informasi ke situasi nyata. keempat adalah kegiatan diskusi yang dilaksanakan dikelas eksperimen.  Kegiatan diskusi dalam pembelajaran CTL membangun terciptanya Learning Community, sehingga siswa yang memiliki kemampuan lebih akan membantu peserta didik lain yang kurang dalam kekompaknya. This research is a pure experimental research (True Experiment). Contextual teaching learning (CTL) can connect the skills expected in a subject with work or daily life. Researchers limit the problem to students who feel bored when learning, lack of participation, and lack of student attention during social science lessons, so that the learning outcomes obtained are still below KKM score. The objectives of this research are as follows: (1) to obtain an overview of the application of CTL model in social science learning; (2) to obtain a description of the social science learning outcomes of students who are taught using CTL model; (3) to determine the effect of social science learning outcomes of those taught using CTL model. The findings of this study indicate that CTL model has an effect on increasing the students' social science learning outcomes. After analyzing the effect, it is caused by: First of all, in the experimental class, the learning process of students is more active and meaningful than the control class. Secondly, the implementation of CTL model in third grade in this study makes students more active during the learning process. Thirdly, one of the principles of CTL model is constructivism. The point of the constructivistic process is that students must be able to find and transform information into real situations. The fourth reason is a discussion activity carried out in the experimental class. Discussion activities in CTL model build the creation of community learning so that students who have more abilities will help other students who are less capable.

This research is titled the role learning society of Islamic  education in the housing of PNS Metro city, where in the life of modern society living in the house of the complex is famous for individual life and full of material competition, hence the need of community learning activity, the field of Islamic education is very much needed to build relationships with surrounding neighborhoods, civil servants of the city of Metro have enjoyed the role of community learning as one way to establish close community. The purpose of this study is to answer the question: What is the role learning society of Islamic l education role in PNS Metro city housing,? what are the activities of lerning society in PNS city housing Metro ..?. This research uses qualitative method with descriptive research, with inductive analysis, where the data is taken through informant around the research site and the document of activity that took place, this research took place in PNS city of Metro RW 15, RT, 45 & 46 of Yosomulyo sub district of Metro Metro City Center.This study discusses how the role learning societuof Islamic education in the PNS housing city of Metro, and it turns out that learning society plays an important role in the environment to improve the closeness and familiarity of the environment around to minimize the occurrence of individualistic and material competition. The Islamic educational education educational activities in the PNS Metro housing environment are as follows; the activities of the parents, the activities of the mothers' ta'lim assembly, the activities of the libraries, the activities of holiday seminars, the visiting activities from home and at the beginning with tausiyah, morning gymnastics, archery and cleaning activities a residential complex environment that aims to keep the gap and to establish neighborly neighbors.

Pesantren is as educational institution has Tafaqquh fi Al-din- oriented has been long known as an educational Institution whose main purpose form of moral. In the process of transmission can’t be denied the role of ustadz in learning process, both in side and outside classroom. The process of transformation and modernization are all lines require the figure of ustadz in Pesantren to make accommodation, concessions for the transformation of education and learning system in pesantren. Pesantren is as part of the nation's community and also inseparable from the influences of ongoing National dynamics today. It is caught in a wave of globalization with all its positive and negative values. Similarly, ustadz of pesantren which also certainly,  cannot be separated from the transformation so that there is a shift in identity representation in the form of mental or language representation. Based on the results of the research was found the figure of ustadz in the framework of accommodation and concessions transformed the representation of identity both   as the teacher represented in school such as personality competence competition, social, professional competence, organizational culture skills, both in oral, written form, and personal branding abilities.

This study aims to obtain in-depth information related to the role of school principals in supervising teacher performance. Supervised performance is related to teaching and learning activities. The principal carries out supervision to improve the quality of teacher performance. This study used a qualitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis consists of the data reduction process, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and triangulation. The findings show that supervision activities by school principals have provided valuable input for teachers to improve the quality of education. The teacher has carried out teaching and learning activities that are adapted to current conditions. However, the identified shortcomings are in the mastery of digital technology devices as a tool that can support educational activities.

This paper is an attempt to propose multidimensional research projects and therefore it is addressed to researchers and theatre/drama-pedagogues. Our principal aim of this paper is to suggest ways to investigate the role of drama both as a methodology in itself in the fields of education and lifelong learning, and as a means suitable for implementation in many other arenas. Our focus on alternative dramatic forms such as puppetry, dramatised narration and creative writing in role, enhances the implication of a rather broad spectrum of prospective participant groups beyond students, such as immigrants, prison convicts and the elderly. We also aim at the facilitation of the involvement of all people who seek ways of improving their professional competence and who could benefit from the implementation of drama techniques in workplaces such as museums, public libraries, and in some sectors of the tourism industry. We firmly believe that the role of educational drama deserves to be consolidated in many areas of social science and social work.

<p>Character education is needed to form atitude, personality and morals of a nation. In its application character education can be applied through the learning process one of which is in learning ocial science. The study aims to determine the role of social science in the formation of learners character and to know the application or implementation of character education in social science. This reseach method uses literatur, literatur research metodhs theough various agreed procedures. The results of this study are educators or teachers and schools play an important role in shaping the character of students through schools rules, activitiesthat are followed and learning process. Character education is applied to students through social science tailored to the material and conditions of students. Leraning methods and teacher understanding of the material also affect the development of character education. In learning social science also has the same goal as character education which is to create good citizens and have moral values.</p>

ABSTRACTThe research is an action research aiming at improving the learning output of social science using cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together. The subjects of the research are the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar in the even semester, the year of 2015/ 2016 with the number of students of 21 consisting of 12 boys and 9 girls. The research used cycling procedure containing four steps of planning, doing, observing, and reflecting. The action research is done in two cycles. Each cycle is conducted in one meeting. After the implementation of Numbered Head Together, the learning output of students social science improves from the first to the second cycle. The result shows that the average score in the first cycle is 65, and the learning completion is 50.00%, while in the second cycle, the average score is 74 and the learning completion is 85.00%. The learning process score in the first cycle is 75.75%, and it improves in the second cycle to be 90.00%. The result of students behavior observation shows improvement of students discipline, cooperation, bravery which in the first cycle is 80.50% and it improves in the second cycle to be 85.50%. Therefore it can be inferred that the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together is able to improve the learning output of the fifth grade students social science in an elementary school. Keywords: Learning Output, Social Science, Numbered Head Together.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Numbered Head Together. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar kelas V semester genap tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 21 siswa, terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 9 siswi perempuan. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan bersiklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pelaksanaan tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan satu kali pertemuan, setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa meningkat dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I memperoleh nilai 65, dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 50,00%, sedangkan siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74 dengan ketuntasan belajar 85,00%. Begitu pula dengan penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I sebesar 75,75%, meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 90,00%. Sedangkan hasil observasi perilaku siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada sikap berupa disiplin, kerja sama dan keberanian yang diperoleh pada siklus I dengan persentase sebesar 80,50% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 85,50%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Numbered Head Together dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Numbered Head Together.
