This article investigates the technology acceptance factors in the context of information communication technology enabled agricultural extension services. Behavioral intention has always been a consequence of the technology acceptance model. The purpose of this study was to examine if the consequence of adoption be an economic benefit to the customer. It examines how these factors influence perceived economic well-being of such users. A stratified sampling procedure was adopted to obtain data from 325 valid responses from rural Indians using a structured survey instrument. A two step method was applied to analyse the data. First, the measurement model was calibrated for the reliability and validity of constructs. Then, the strength and direction of the hypothesized relationships were investigated by the structural model using structural equation modeling. Users of mobile application were checked for their perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, subjective norm and attitude for their perceived economic well-being. These four factors, when regressed upon the perceived economic well-being using structural equation modeling predict that all but attitude is significant. This article improvises the extant technology acceptance model by replacing behavioral intention with a perceived economic well-being as a consequence. A consumer who perceives economic benefits is more likely to adopt an innovative product. Marketers can advertise the economic benefits so that the target customers adopt such technologies. By this research, the authors have identified a different outcome for perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude and subjective norm. A new relationship between the exogenous variables perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, subjective norm and attitude and the endogenous variable perceived economic well-being is established by this study. Behavioral intention can be replaced by perceived economic well-being as the outcome in the technology acceptance model.

Objectives: Advanced medical treatments and service quality for Hong Kong residents are well regarded. However, numerous senior residents continue to explore alternative medical treatments and wellbeing activities outside the region. The research objectives of this study are 1) to assess the perception of senior tourists of the medical quality attributes of medical tourism destinations and 2) to compare the different perceptions of tourists of medical service attributes, wellbeing and behavioural intention towards medical tourism destinations. Design: The questionnaire instrument was written in English and Chinese based on the literature review. The target population was senior residents with experience in seeking medical treatments and services abroad, specifically, outside Hong Kong. Convenience sampling was employed to recruit senior respondents to answer the questionnaire. Data collection was from July to October 2019 in residential areas and senior citizen neighbourhood centres in Hong Kong. Results: Results show that among the 74 respondents, only 42% have overseas medical experiences. The countries involved are Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, China, the United States, Malaysia and Thailand. The senior residents have a more positive perception of medical quality (e.g. appointment procedure, short waiting time and physician reliability) and wellbeing (e.g. response to needs and social wellbeing) in overseas medical destinations compared with Hong Kong. However, no mean difference is observed in behavioural intention between Hong Kong and overseas medical destinations from the perspective of the senior respondents. Conclusions: Hong Kong senior residents may consider travelling overseas to seek medical treatments and wellbeing activities. Senior residents tend to travel to nearby countries for cosmetic/plastic surgery, eye surgery/Lasik and dental surgery. Moreover, senior residents perceive the communication skills of physicians and staff overseas in answering enquiries on medical procedures whilst receiving medical treatment as high quality compared with Hong Kong.

Order increases, supply chain disruptions, changing customer behavior, store closures, and more that have been caused by the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19) will undoubtedly affect the online commerce forms of business. The coronavirus pandemic has a significant impact on digitalization and customer experience and well-being in mobile commerce. Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, online sales and the number of online shoppers using wireless internet-enabled devices have increased tremendously. The article develops, an experimental study that captures COVID-19 and digital commerce’s impact in terms of customers’ experience and well-being during the pandemic period. The study explores the synergy between technology evolution and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on customers’ behavior based on survey data collection and the technology acceptance model (TAM). The results reveal that, for millennials, digital commerce seems to be the typical way of shopping and paying in the pandemic period since the oldest generations adopted in a smaller proportion the use of mobile devices for shopping and payments. Besides, retailers are confronted with great challenges raised by millennials’ expectations. The result confirms four of the six hypotheses based on the technology acceptance model (TAM). As a result, it shows that the easiness of use, trust, mobility, and customer involvement influences the behavioral intention of the customer to use mobile commerce, and that usefulness and customization does not influence the behavioral intention.

Healthcare is a key factor in deciding people's physical and mental well-being, which is why it is often widely recognized as a major contributor to the economy of a country. The quality of society's healthcare system and facilities is considered one of the most important factors in the development of a country. Today almost all medical records are stored in an Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) system which improves access to clinical data intended to streamline costs. However, EHRs are essentially non-portable and kept on the networks where they were created mainly for purposes of interoperability, security, and liability. This results in a loss of medical quality for the patient and a rise in healthcare costs as the sharing of information between multiple healthcare facilities, spread around different places, is highly dependent on the patient who is not known as the data owner and might not be aware of such treatments obtained. The objective of this article was to investigate is Blockchain relevant to the healthcare system and benefits when it was applied to the medical sector. Considering if Blockchain can help patient be the owner and have the control of their medical records. With its functions and effectiveness, Blockchain could be the key to change the current health system. While it is not yet a 100% perfect technology, what Blockchain offers can help the healthcare system develop or at least alleviate problems that are occurring.
