Color stability has a vital role in several factors. Including the cosmetic appearance, confidence while smiling, and facial emotions, and in some patients, it denoted healthy and vital dental health. Dental discoloration denotes the lack of dental care. This varies from excessive use of external artificial coloration materials such as coffee, tea, and fizzy drinks. Also, in some cases, the dental discoloration is due to internal pathological conditions or due to medical treatments usage. Radiation has been remarked as one of the causes that cause dental discoloration. In addition to that, chemotherapy was also associated with dental discoloration. Some medications, such as tetracycline and antihistamines, were linked to dental discoloration. The literature discussed in-vitro experiments for the substances affecting the teeth' color status. Coffee was the most significant cause for dental discoloration, either human use (in-vivo) or laboratory experiments (in-vitro). The sociodemographic status was linked to the variance of dental discoloration. Future recommendations are concerned about the public health sector. The WHO should offer comprehensive dental care for all people all over the world, and not exclusive for specific socioeconomic areas. Practical plans for screening dental pathologies should be investigated and for systematic pathologies that might be associated with dental issues.

This chapter deals with accessibility, a relevant and important concept for every citizen in the improvement of their quality of life in any environment or daily situation. Specifically, an empirical study about accessibility in the public health centers of a Basic Health Area (BHA) of Jaén is carried out. From this study, accessibility deficiencies in health buildings are revealed, and explicit proposals are provided with the aim of improving accessibility in different scopes such as information and communications. The improvement plans based on the use of Technology, Information, and Communication (TIC) tools help sensory disabled users that attend to the Health Center.

ABSTRACT Objective: Observational studies on the association among systemic/general and oral cavity indices, tooth loss, periodontal conditions, and socioeconomic inequalities are to be still performed in the population of Southern Europe. This study aims to determine the extent of this relationship among Italian healthy adults 50 years of age and above. Materials and Methods: Socioeconomic and lifestyle characteristics, cardiovascular indicators, and systemic indices were examined by contrasting the dental indices among adult people of Northern Italy. Data were processed through correlation analysis, and multivariate analysis was carried out using seemingly unrelated regressions. Results: A total of 118 adults 50 years of age and above, after anamnesis, underwent systemic and dental examination. Their socioeconomic status was found to be inversely associated only with smoking and dental parameters. Unexpected outcomes between lifestyle and risk factors were detected. The statistical analysis showed an uneven correlation among dental indices and between those indices and the socioeconomic status, such as, a periodontal condition, apparently free from influences, unusually became worse as the socioeconomic status enhanced. Conclusions: The study outcomes indicate a relationship between tooth loss and conservative endodontic therapy, but they result in alternative choices. Nevertheless, the socioeconomic status has an inverse relationship with tooth loss and conservative endodontic therapy, but a direct relation with worsening of the periodontal condition. This pilot study highlights a need for the public health administration to adopt a socioeconomic assessment not only based on the household income, but also to accordingly improve its therapeutic course.
