The ideology of state-ibuism has always been interwoven with how the New Order regime until nowadays government constructing the “ideal” role of women in the family and community through the PKK (Pembinaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga) organization. However, in Cangkring Village, Indramayu, the ideology of ibuism works not because of the massive government regulating the role of women through the PKK organization, but it is possible because of the structure of the kampung community itself. Through involved observations and in-depth interviews about a kindergarten in the village, a group of housewives who dedicated themselves to teaching in kindergarten were met without getting paid high. From these socio-cultural phenomenons, this paper will describe descriptively and analytically that housewives in the Cangkring village are willing to become kindergarten teachers because of their moral burden as part of the warga kampung and also from community pressure from people who want their children to be able to read and write.

Abstract An investigation of endwall loss development is conducted using the T106A low-pressure turbine cascade. (U)RANS simulations are complemented by measurements under engine relevant flow conditions (M2th = 0.59, Re2th = 2·105). The effects of unsteady inflow conditions and varying inlet endwall boundary layer are compared in terms of secondary flow attenuation downstream of the blade passage, analyzing steady, time-averaged, and time-resolved flow fields. While both measures show similar effects in the turbine exit plane, the upstream loss development throughout the blade passage is quite different. A variation of the endwall boundary layer alters the slope of the axial loss generation beginning around the midpoint of the blade passage. Periodically incoming wakes, however, cause a spatial redistribution of the loss generation with a premature loss increase due to wake interaction in the front part of the passage followed by an attenuation of the profile- and secondary loss generation in the aft section of the blade passage. Ultimately, this leads to a convergence of the downstream loss values in the steady and unsteady inflow cases.

Radiation-induced segregation (RIS) is the spatial redistribution of elements at defect sinks such as grain boundaries and free surfaces during irradiation. This phenomenon has been studied in a wide variety of alloys and has been linked to irradiation-assisted stress corrosion cracking (IASCC) of nuclear reactor core components. However, several recent studies have shown that Cr and Mo can be enriched to significant levels at grain boundaries prior to irradiation as a result of heat treatment. Segregation of this type may delay the onset of radiation-induced Cr depletion at the grain boundary, thus reducing IASCC susceptibility. Unfortunately, existing models of segregation phenomena do not correctly describe the physical processes and therefore are grossly inaccurate in predicting pre-existing segregation and subsequent redistribution during irradiation. Disagreement between existing models and measurement has been linked to potential interactions between the major alloying elements and lighter impurity elements such as S, P, and B.

Abstract. Phosphorus (P) availability decreases with soil age and potentially limits the productivity of ecosystems growing on old and weathered soils. Despite growing on ancient soils, ecosystems of lowland Amazonia are highly productive and are among the most biodiverse on Earth. P eroded and weathered in the Andes is transported by the rivers and deposited in floodplains of the lowland Amazon basin creating hotspots of P fertility. We hypothesize that animals feeding on vegetation and detritus in these hotspots may redistribute P to P-depleted areas, thus contributing to dissipate the P gradient across the landscape. Using a mathematical model, we show that animal-driven spatial redistribution of P from rivers to land and from seasonally flooded to terra firme (upland) ecosystems may sustain the P cycle of Amazonian lowlands. Our results show how P imported to land by terrestrial piscivores in combination with spatial redistribution of herbivores and detritivores can significantly enhance the P content in terra firme ecosystems, thereby highlighting the importance of food webs for the biogeochemical cycling of Amazonia.

Globalization policies are encouraging manufacturing companies to produce environment-friendly products that offer a sustainable competitive advantage. Currently, product recovery and zero-waste supply chains have caught the attention of manufacturers and professionals. Reverse logistics (RL) is considered as the most significant part of supply chain management in developed countries; unfortunately, its implementation in developing countries is in the initial stages due to certain barriers. This study aims to identify and verify the barriers to implementation of reverse logistics using a two-stage methodology: the Delphi Method and Structural Equation Modeling. A comprehensive literature review was considered to identify a primary set of barriers. Using the Delphi Method, a team of experts screened out barriers after performing three iterations. A survey-based questionnaire was then sent out to supply chain and logistics employees in the manufacturing industry and relevant government authorities. Five hundred and forty-seven useful responses were analyzed in the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) & AMOS 21 softwares using Structural Equation Modeling to verify barriers, and ranked according to their severity. The most critical barriers with respect to each category are: high cost of reverse logistics adoption (finance and economics), lack of skilled professionals (knowledge and experience), lack of government supportive policies (law and regulation), poor organizational culture (management), lack of human resources (infrastructure and technology), lack of environmental law awareness (environment), lack of community pressure (market) and company policies (reverse logistics in policy). Overall, the top five barriers found in this study include lack of initial capital, lack of skilled professional in RL, companies’ policies against RL, lack of new technologies and information systems, and lack of community pressure. Knowledge about barriers to reverse logistics allows manufacturing companies to prepare a priority list of actions for better implementation of the reverse logistics system.

As with higher-education institutions around the world, British Columbia (BC) and Ontario are increasingly faced with demographic and market pressures that erode the traditional difference between the university and non-university sectors (i.e., colleges and institutes). Key components that ensure these provinces’ institutions preserve their unique roles and differentiations in a changing context, partially driven by their governments, include research mandates, transparency in institutional governance, and strategic documents that resist the academic drift created by institutional isomorphism. Both governments are actively reshaping their post-secondary systems to align with national or regional economic needs, increasing access, streamlining degree completion, and responding to community pressure to have a university or a degree-granting institution. An analysis of the enabling legislation, government policy directives, and institutional documents of both provinces shows that there is a blurring in the distinction between colleges and universities, and the costs associated with this.

The spatial redistribution of the 235U isotope of natural uranium in a gradient temperature field along the height of the reactor in supercritical carbon dioxide has been experimentally investigated. The scheme of the reactor is given and the principle of operation of the reactor is described. The method of preparation of initial samples from granite samples containing natural uranium and the procedure of extraction are described. The conclusion about the spatial redistribution of 235U isotopes in supercritical carbon dioxide is based on the analysis of gamma spectra of extracts. It is shown that the concentration of the 235U isotope in a supercritical fluid is maximal near the lower heated flange of the reactor, and decreases with approaching the upper, cooled flange. It was concluded that the separation factor of the 235U isotope in supercritical carbon dioxide can be about 1.2 ± 0.12.

In recent conditions, company is not considers merely on profit, but there is strong argument that company must aware on its social environments. Hence, it is required that a company must disclose its social responsibility to the stakeholders. Corporate social disclosure itself is influenced by many factors. The objective of this study is to explain the influencing factors of corporate social responsibility. Based on the Stakeholders theory, the study will investigated social responsibility accounting phenomena on business practices. The research sites would be in PTPN- East Java consists of PTPN X, XI, and XII. Regressions models are used to test the formulated hypothesis. Data were collected by using questionnaires which were mailed to 58 top and middle managers in PTPN who directly or indirectly involved in the corporate social responsibility. The empirical finding showed that and partially Mass media pressure are significant factor to corporate social disclosure, meanwhile Government regulation, Community pressure, environmental organization pressure do not have significant effect on corporate social disclosure. However, simultaneously those factors significantly influence the PTPTN’s corporate social disclosure.

This essay focuses on the study of the conceptual articulation between space, location, and place, based on the space theory of the renowned Brazilian geographer Milton Santos, and highlights the role attributed to Geography in its disciplinary condition of human science and practical action in contributing to planning. This role is exercised through the construction of a comprehensive view of the present, of the states of social crisis, and delineations of political action and future projects. The prevalence of social interest would be due to epistemological disalienation, state change, and the emerging strength of citizens, contributing to the proposition of a more equitable spatial redistribution of social resources.
