This study aimed at identifying the needs of grade eight students of SMP Negeri 8 Medan in learning reading English using website and concerns on how web-based reading learning materials are developed for grade VIII students of junior high school.  The nature of this study is Research and Development (R & D). The steps were conducting the needs analysis, writing the course grid, storyboarding, writing the first draft, obtaining the experts’ judgments, revising the first draft, and finally writing the final draft. This study involved 32 students of the eight grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Medan as the research subjects. The instruments for collecting the data were questionnaires (needs analysis questionnaire and expert judgment questionnaires). The results of the needs analysis questionnaire were analyzed using percentage and the expert judgment were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Data got from the result of need analysis was being the basis in developing the product. The website was divided into five pages: Home, Start Up, Your Focus, Your Activity, and Grammar Corner. Then, based on the expert judgment, the website are appropriate for the grade eight students of junior high school. It was proved by the mean value of 4.2 for web based materials which cover the appropriateness of content, language, and presentation, and 4.5 for the website.Key words: Research and Development (R&D), Website, Reading Materials, Junior High School

Application Submission of Recommendations for Research and Job Training which is often late hampers students who will carry out Research and Practical Work activities that will be carried out at institutions in Karawang, making students have to spend time visiting the Kesbangpol office where sometimes the completion of the letter is not clear when the completion completed, and also because of the head of the Office's signature problem. The research method used is to use the Waterfall method which in this method includes needs analysis, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance. Therefore it is hoped that after the design and recommendation system of a recommendation letter system/tools proposed by the author, it is useful for efficient time for students who will submit a recommendation letter for research and practical work to agencies in Karawang Regency and students do not have to go directly to the Kesbangpol office. Karawang Regency to submit a recommendation letter

With the popularity of the network and the popularity of computer office, the network to bring a lot of convenience, the traditional work in the network environment has undergone great changes, more and more people to join the ranks of freelancers. So freelancer system came into being, which is based on web pages, no dedicated client can provide services for users, users publish work information and access work becomes more convenient, and they can communicate accordingly, the system administrator to manage the release of job information, then to form a stable and convenient exchange of freelance trading system. It is welcomed by many users for its ease to use which based on web and B / S architecture and developed through the most popular SSH framework. This paper introduces the development of web-based freelance system, including the use of SSH framework, MYSQL database, Eclipse development environment, the feasibility analysis of the project needs analysis as well as the detailed realization of the relevant research on Witkey website.

Administration and control of medium-sized and large computer networks is one o f the most important tasks for any organization. Existing solutions are either too expensive for educational institutions or consists of many separate programs with little or no centralized managements. This work describes system in development based on "Linux” operational system and popular open standards. The central part of the system is LDAP database for information about servers, computers, users etc. This database is used by many less or more independent modules, including mail, proxy and other Internet servers. Access to these services is controlled by firewalls and specialized client/server authorization system, which is needed to prevent password sniffing and other methods of unauthorized access. System is managed from a centralized web-based administration interface. System is under development and will be implemented in several stages, module by module.

The media used in learning archaebacteria and eubacteria are very varied, but there are still obstacles in the delivery of subject matter, so it is necessary that the formulation of media developed. The purpose of this research was to analyze the needs of developing web-based biology learning media on archaebacteria and eubacteria material for students of X-grade high school. The research sample was determined by a purposive sampling technique considering school status, conditions, school facilities, and students' characteristics. There are 3 samples of schools, namely 2 public schools and 1 private school in Balikpapan city. The research data were collected using observation and interview guidelines, the research data were also analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The conclusions of this study: 1) the use of learning media as a teaching resource in the biology learning process that occurs in the field has not been carried out optimally; 2) archaebacteria and eubacteria material is difficult material; 3) Learning media that need to be developed on archaebacteria and eubacteria material is web-based media, namely multimedia that combines learning resources in the form of text, images, animation, practice questions, glossaries, sounds, and videos equipped with back sounds and captions.Keywords: Needs analysis, media learning, web-based, archaebacteria, eubacteria
