The media used in learning archaebacteria and eubacteria are very varied, but there are still obstacles in the delivery of subject matter, so it is necessary that the formulation of media developed. The purpose of this research was to analyze the needs of developing web-based biology learning media on archaebacteria and eubacteria material for students of X-grade high school. The research sample was determined by a purposive sampling technique considering school status, conditions, school facilities, and students' characteristics. There are 3 samples of schools, namely 2 public schools and 1 private school in Balikpapan city. The research data were collected using observation and interview guidelines, the research data were also analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The conclusions of this study: 1) the use of learning media as a teaching resource in the biology learning process that occurs in the field has not been carried out optimally; 2) archaebacteria and eubacteria material is difficult material; 3) Learning media that need to be developed on archaebacteria and eubacteria material is web-based media, namely multimedia that combines learning resources in the form of text, images, animation, practice questions, glossaries, sounds, and videos equipped with back sounds and captions. Keywords: Needs analysis, media learning, web-based, archaebacteria, eubacteria

ABSTRACT OBJECTIVE To describe the length of exposure to screens and the prevalence of consumption of meals and snacks by Brazilian adolescents in front of screens. METHODS We evaluated 74,589 12 to 17-year old adolescents from 1,247 schools in 124 Brazilian municipalities. A self-administered questionnaire was used. Its segment regarding nutrition contained questions about using TV, computers, and video game systems, having meals while watching TV, and consuming snacks in front of screens. Consumption of meals and snacks in front of screens was analyzed according to the following variables: geographical region, gender, age range, type of school (public or private), and school shift. The prevalences and their respective 95% confidence intervals were estimated under a complex sampling design. RESULTS A great deal of the adolescents (73.5%, 95%CI 72.3-74.7) reported spending two or more hours a day in front of screens. That habit was more frequent among male adolescents, private school students, morning shift students, and students from Brazil’s South region. More than half of the adolescents (56.6%, 95%CI 55.4-57.8) reported almost always or always having meals in front of TV, and 39.6% (95%CI 38.8-40.5) of them said they consumed snacks in front of screens exactly as often. Both situations were the most prevalent ones among the girls, who attended public schools and were from Brazil’s Midwest region. CONCLUSIONS Length of exposure to screens and consumption of meals and snacks almost always or always in front of screens are high among Brazilian adolescents. It is necessary to develop strategies aiming to reduce the length of screen use, considering the media reality that children and adolescents have been experiencing from earlier and earlier ages. That context must therefore be analyzed in an indissociable way.

Purpose: Thus the author seeks to determine the effect of the use of instructional media on student interest in learning in the histology course, Faculty of Medicine, University of Malikussaleh. Method: This research was a descriptive study with a cross sectional survey design. The sample in this study were all students who filled out a questionnaire at Malikussaleh University. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and data were obtained from primary data. Result: From the regression results, it can be seen that the learning media variable has a t-count value of 4,212, which is greater than the t-table of 1,671, with a significance of 0,000, which means less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that the learning media variable has a positive and significant effect on increasing interest in learning in medical students at UNIMAL

This study aims to determine the differences in students' mathematics learning achievement as measured using the testlet model test in terms of school status and gender in class VII SMP/MTs students. This study uses a quantitative approach in the form of ex post facto research. This study took samples from 2 public schools and two private schools with a total sample of 109 students. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using test techniques and instruments using a testlet model test based on local wisdom. The instrument's validity uses content validity with the Aiken formula, while the reliability, level of difficulty of distinguishing power, and the effectiveness of distractors are analyzed by the ITEMAN 3.0 application. The data analysis technique used was two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Based on the results of the data analysis conducted, it can be seen that there is no difference in students' mathematics learning achievement as measured by using the testlet model test when viewed from school status or in terms of gender. The analysis results also show that school status and gender are not related to improving students' mathematics learning achievement when measured using the testlet model test.

This study aims to determine whether through the media game of accounting monopoly produces different learning interests with conventional learning in students of class X SMK N 2 Padang. This type of research is a kind of quasi experiment (quasi experiment). The population of the study were students of class X Accounting SMK N 2 Padang year lesson 2017/2018. The sampling technique is purposive sampling method (sample of consideration). The sample is the XA4 class student as the control class and XA1 as the Experiment class. Data type consists of primary and secondary data. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire that has already passed the validation and reliability test stages. Data analysis technique is using t test different test. The results show that, "there is no significant difference between student learning interest using accounting monopoly media and conventional learning". This is justified by the results of variance analysis for testing this hypothesis, which in the table obtained Sig Value <of Value α (0.05), namely sig value 0.091 <0.05. This means that H0 is accepted, in other words it can be concluded that if the average student's learning interest is low by any method the learning outcomes will remain low, because interest in learning is an internal factor that greatly influences the students personally. Keywords: Interest Learning, Media Learning, Monopoly Game Media
