Abstract In order to solve the problem of low accuracy in oil-gas pipeline leak detection, a pipeline leak detection method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm optimized Support Vector Machine (SVM) is introduced. This method uses PSO to solve the penalty factor ‘c’ and kernel function parameter ‘g’, and constructs the pipeline leakage detection model of SVM. We set up an experimental platform to collect negative pressure wave signals under different working conditions. After wavelet domain denoising and data preprocessing, four eigenvalues of Mean, Standard Deviation, Kurtosis and Skewness are extracted from the signals to form the eigenvector samples, which are taken as input of SVM, and four working conditions of normal, leakage, rise and fall are taken as output. Through experimental verification, the comprehensive performance of PSO-SVM algorithm is better than that of traditional SVM, Genetic Algorithm optimized SVM and grid search algorithm optimized SVM. The POS-SVM algorithm can be applied to the leak detection of oil-gas pipeline.

To solve the problem that the bearing fault of variable working conditions is challenging to identify and classify in the industrial field, this paper proposes a new method based on optimization of multidimension fault energy characteristics and integrates with an improved least-squares support vector machine (LSSVM). First, because the traditional wavelet energy feature is difficult to effectively reflect the characteristics of rolling bearing under different working conditions, based on analyzing the wavelet energy feature extraction in detail, a collaborative method of multidimension fault energy feature extraction combined with the method of Transfer Component Analysis (TCA) is constructed, which improves the discrimination between the different features and the compactness between the same features of rolling bearing faults. Then, for solving the problem of the local optimal of particle swarm optimization (PSO) in fault diagnosis and recognition of rolling bearing, an improved LSSVM based on particle swarm optimization and wavelet mutation optimization is established to realize the collaborative optimization and adjustment of LSSVM dynamic parameters. Based on the improved LSSVM and optimization of multidimensional energy characteristics, a new method for fault diagnosis of rolling bearing is designed. Finally, the simulation and analysis of the proposed algorithm are verified by the experimental data of different working conditions. The experimental results show that this method can effectively extract the multidimensional fault characteristics under variable working conditions and has a high fault recognition rate.

Prediction is a systematic estimate that identifies past and future information, we predict the success of learning with elearning based on a log of student activities. In our current study we use the Support vector machine (SVM) method which is comparable with Particle Swarm Optimization. It is known that SVM has a very good generalization that can solve a problem. however, some of the attributes in the data can reduce accuracy and add complexity to the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. It is necessary for existing tribute selection, therefore using the Particle swarm optimization (PSO) method is applied to the right attribute selection in determining the success of elearning learning based on student activity logs, because with the Swarm Optimization (PSO) method can increase accuracy in determining selection of attributes.

Classification is data mining techniques which used for the purposes of diagnosis in the medical field as measured by the high accuracy produced. The accuracy of classification algorithm is influenced by the use of features and dimensions in dataset. In this study, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) dataset was used where the data is one of the high dimension datasets. Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is used because its ability to handle high-dimensional data. In the dataset, it consists of 24 attributes and 1 class which if all are used results accuracy of classification will be diminished. Method for selecting features with Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is applied to reduce redundant features and produce optimal features. In addition, ensemble AdaBoost also applied in this research to increase performance of entirety classification algorithm. The results showed that the optimization of SVM algorithm by using PSO as a selection and ensemble feature of AdaBoost with an average of selected features of 18 features could increase the accuracy of 36.20% to 99.50% in the diagnosis of CKD compared to the SVM algorithm without optimization only resulting in accuracy 63.30%. This research can be used as a reference for further research in focusing on the preprocessing stage.

When the reservoir physical properties are distributed very dispersedly, the matching precision of these reservoir parameters is not good. We propose a novel method for matching the reservoir physical properties based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) and support vector machine (SVM) algorithm. First, the data structure characteristics of the reservoir physical properties are analyzed. Then, the particle swarm differential perturbation evolution algorithm is used to cluster and characterize the reservoir physical properties. Finally, by using the SVM algorithm for feature reorganization and the least squares matching of the extracted reservoir physical properties, the feature quantity of the reservoir physical properties can be accurately mined and the pressure matching precision is improved. The experimental results show that employing the proposed method to analyze and sample the data characteristics of the physical properties of the reservoir is better. The extracted parameters can effectively reflect the physical characteristics of oil reservoirs. The proposed method has potential applications in guiding the exploration and development of oil reservoirs.

News popularity is the maximum growth of attention given for particular news article. The popularity of online news depends on various factors such as the number of social media, the number of visitor comments, the number of Likes, etc. It is therefore necessary to build an automatic decision support system to predict the popularity of the news as it will help in business intelligence too. The work presented in this study aims to find the best model to predict the popularity of online news using machine learning methods. In this work, the result analysis is performed by applying Co-relation algorithm, particle swarm optimization and principal component analysis. For performance evaluation support vector machine, naïve bayes, k-nearest neighbor and neural network classifiers are used to classify the popular and unpopular data. From the experimental results, it is observed that support vector machine and naïve bayes outperforms better with co-relation algorithm as well as k-NN and neural network outperforms better with particle swarm optimization.

The needs of the community for freight forwarding are now starting to increase with the marketplace. User opinion about freight forwarding services is currently carried out by the public through many things one of them is social media Twitter. By sentiment analysis, the tendency of an opinion will be able to be seen whether it has a positive or negative tendency. The methods that can be applied to sentiment analysis are the Naive Bayes Algorithm and Support Vector Machine (SVM). This research will implement the two algorithms that are optimized using the PSO algorithms in sentiment analysis. Testing will be done by setting parameters on the PSO in each classifier algorithm. The results of the research that have been done can produce an increase in the accreditation of 15.11% on the optimization of the PSO-based Naive Bayes algorithm. Improved accuracy on the PSO-based SVM algorithm worth 1.74% in the sigmoid kernel.
