Abstract We would like to thank everyone for your enthusiasm and participation in the 5th International Conference on Planning in the Era of Uncertainty at Universitas Brawijaya. ICPEU is a biennial event held by Department of Regional and Urban Planning – Universitas Brawijaya (Malang, Indonesia) since 2013. The conference series has focused on the discussion of sustainable development since the very beginning, as we truly believe that this topic is very relevant to what we, in the field of planning, face at the moment and in the future. In 2013, we started off the discussion with a big question, can planning theory be applied thoroughly in practice? It was a very memorable discussion as we explored many interdisciplinary problems and solutions in planning. We then developed our topic to sustainable development in 2015 as we considered this as an underlying topic for all relevant problems and solutions. Again, the discussion was remarkable. Papers from different countries participated in the event. In 2017, we started publishing our papers on IOP Proceedings, which is a Scopus-indexed form of publication. And in 2019, we raised the topic of bridging the rural-urban development gap-strengthening sustainability goals. We believe that this event at this moment will be more successful than our predecessors. The 5th ICPEU was held on 19th July 2021 with the topic “Rural-Urban Connectivity”. This topic addressed a concern about spatial equality and sustainability with particular relevance to the pandemic situation. This year, ICPEU was held in a completely different way due to the pandemic. Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions did not demotivate us to strengthen our academic community and organize the conference. The current information technology in the form of video conference (webinar) helped us to tackle the distance obstacle. This virtual platform gave us three benefits i.e., 1) made the overall presentations and discussions more efficient, 2) the technology gave us opportunity to effectively communicate with the keynote speakers as well as made all sessions enjoyable for them, and 3) reached more participants. This year we had in total 250 participants including the presenters We organize the conference in the form of plenary session by presenting eight keynote speakers. They talked about the concept and practices of sustainability in a broad range of disciplines including social capital, disaster management, infrastructure, regional development and public policy. The keynote speaker’s session was followed by panel sessions. All panel presenters had 15 minutes to share their ideas continued with 5 minutes discussion for each presentation. Regarding the panel session, we have received papers from Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and also Indonesia, discussing and showcasing multi-level efforts in achieving sustainable development from different perspectives. In short, the response that we received has been overwhelmingly positive. We received a total of 83 extended abstracts for this event, and unfortunately, we can only accept 70 selected ones to be published in our upcoming publications. We would like to thank our invaluable sponsors, Universitas Brawijaya, the Faculty of Engineering, PLN UP3 Malang, and Bantex Indonesia for their supports that have allowed us to organize this event. Thank you to Hastirin Widi Astuti, S.Pd, M.A (TESOL) for the proofreading and editing services so that we can make prepare these articles for publication. Therefore, I would like to congratulate all authors that have made it this far. Lastly, we would like to acknowledge fellow colleagues who have made this conference successful: Prof. Ir. Hadi Suyono, S.T., MT., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng. (Dean of the Engineering Faculty, Universitas Brawijaya), Dr. Ir. Abdul Wahid Hasyim, MSP (Head of the Regional and Urban Planning Department, Universitas Brawijaya), The keynote speakers: Prof. Kiyoshi Kobayashi and Prof. Kenichiro Onitsuka (Kyoto University – Japan), Prof. Murakami Keisuke (University of Miyazaki – Japan), Prof. Joe Ravetz (University of Manchester – UK), Dr. Suprapedi. M.Eng (Ministry of Village, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration – Indonesia), Ir. The conference focuses on the latest research fields such as “artificial intelligence”, “computer networks” and “Communications”, and aims to provide an international cooperation and exchange platform for experts, scholars and business managers in the fields of artificial intelligence, computer networks and communications application to share their research achievements, discuss the key challenges and research directions of the development of this field, and jointly promote the industrialization cooperation and continuous innovation of international academic achievements. This collection of Proceedings compiles oral and paper presentations submitted by the authors and scrutinized by the Special Committee. The conference was scheduled to be held on October 28-29, 2021 at The Westin Hefei Wanda Hotel, Hefei, Anhui, China. In view of travel restrictions and indoor activities related to COVID-19, we were forced to move the conference online. Attendees were notified one month in advance that the on-site conference was changed to an online conference, and the time and order of the conference were determined. The online conference was held on the video conferencing software Tencent Meeting. The video conference was held on the original date, but due to the large number of attendees, we extended the Meeting for 2 days. Due to the wide coverage of this conference and the large number of attendees, we divided the conference into main venue and sub-venue. The opening ceremony was held in the main venue and a speech was delivered by the invited speaker. After the main venue, we divided the invited 53 authors into 2 groups. Each author spoke for about 10-15 minutes on detailed material in the slides, with the same amount of time set aside for questions and discussion. The format of questioning and discussion was that after each author’s introduction, the conference chairman and committee members asked and answered questions. At least one attendee could ask questions that will be answered by the speaker. This conference has brought together many excellent works and the latest ideas and concepts. New ideas have been provided in the fields of information technology and mechanical engineering applications. For this, we have set up three awards, which were won by six authors. Due to the large number of attendees and the instability of the video conference software, we edited and retained part of the conference speech pictures and videos after the video conference. We put some screenshots of the conference on the official website for display. Although most attendees expressed regret that we had not been able to have the informal face-to-face discussions that usually take place between conferences, the virtual conferences had been surprisingly successful. The organizing and editorial committee of the AICNC 2021 hopes you enjoy the reading of this volume of the JPCS. Besides, we wish to thank all authors and participants for providing their valuable contributions for this proceeding as well as the reviewers for their constructive recommendations and criticism aiding to improve the presented articles. Likewise, we are confident that this issue will serve as a reference for experts, scholars and enterprise managers in the fields of the artificial intelligence, computer networks and communications. Organizing Committee, Scientific Committee, Editorial Committee, Invited Speakers, China, Organizing Institutions are available in the pdf.

10515 Background: International clinicians (HCPs) often find it difficult to attend North American congresses due to time out of the clinic, institutional travel restrictions, & individual financial burden. HCPs continue to highlight the value of peer to peer scientific exchange at international meetings & peer reviewed journals. Coupled with the dramatic increase of new scientific & clinical data that are rapidly changing clinical paradigms, there is a need for an effective & efficient digital solution to reach as many HCPs as possible. ASCO GU Direct sought to develop an educational program that culled the latest clinical & scientific data from ASCO GU in real time to global HCPs. ASCO GU Direct is a partnership between ASCO, MEDtalks Netherlands, Bayer & Janssen to drive global education locally since 2016. The live connection was broadcast in real time to local digital hubs in Europe, Middle East & Asia, where an expert panel from ASCO GU reviewed key scientific data with local HCPs in real time. HCPs were able to view ASCO presentations & ask questions to the panel despite time zone & geography. Methods: We present results from the surveys done with participating HCPs to understand the effectiveness of this blended program by examining the quality & objectivity of the content, impact on their clinical treatment, & the Net Promotor Score (NPS). Results: To measure quality & objectivity, NPS was calculated based on HCP responses to: “Would you recommend ASCO GU Direct to a colleague.” The NPS was 59 in 17 & 72 in 18 (scale: -100 to +100), showing willingness to recommend the educational program. Conclusions: Providing digital access can effectively & efficiently bridge gaps that would otherwise exist for international HCPs who did not attend ASCO GU. Digital access through this collaboration with live access to experts provides an excellent solution for HCPs who want to remain updated on clinical & scientific data.
