ICoMMS 2021 was organized by the Mechatronic Engineering Programme, Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis. ICoMMS 2021 aims to provide opportunities for all participants to exchange new innovative ideas and application experiences as well as to provide a platform where possible innovators can think of new ventures, generate contacts and networks for future collaboration, specifically in the domain of Man-Machine Systems. The conference tracks include Man-Machine Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Applications, Internet of Everything, Signal and Circuits Systems, and Industrial Design and Automation. With the theme of ‘Man-Machine Systems as Catalyst for Future Solutions’, ICoMMS 2021 has received more than 80 papers from all around the world and after a rigorous peer-review process, only 76 papers were accepted. On behalf of the conference organizers, we would like to thank the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology and Universiti Malaysia Perlis for the continuous support. Our gratitude also goes to all reviewers for their time and effort in reviewing the papers. Their feedbacks to the authors have been excellent and useful to ensure high quality papers for the conference. Our appreciation to all keynote speakers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, India, and Cologne University of Applied Sciences, Germany for sharing their thoughts and experiences with respect to various topics in Man-Machine Systems. Not forgetting our International Steering Committee for their collaboration and provision, as well as to our co-organizer, Centre of Excellence for Advanced Sensor Technology (CEASTech), Universiti Malaysia Perlis. Our sincere thanks also go to our main sponsor, IDEARIA Sdn. Bhd. for their generosity, and to all hundreds of attendees from all around the world for participating in the conference. Last but not least, we would like to thank the organizing committee members for their hard work, cooperation and insights in ensuring the success of this conference. The International Thematic Proceedia titled „Psychology in the world of science” is a publication from the 16th International Conference “Days of Applied Psychology” held on September 25th & 26th 2020 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš. This is a traditional annual nonprofit conference which has been organized since 2005 by the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš, with the support and co-financing of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia. The conference started with the idea of gathering researchers and practitioners who discuss the link between science and practice in different psychological areas. From the very start, this gathering has welcomed international participants, and year after year this number is on the rise. This scientific publication contains 18 peer-reviewed articles which can be classified as original scientific papers and as review papers. The authors of these manuscripts come from six countries: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Republic of Serbia.

For a cylinder-beam integrated hydraulic press (CBIHP), the hydraulic cylinder is also functioned as an upper beam. It is the key structural component that outputs the driving force to forge parts. Compared with the traditional three-beam and four-column hydraulic press which has a cylindrical hydraulic cylinder, the structure and force distribution are significantly different for CBIHP. It is able to have higher nominal force and larger section of plunger which the pressure is applied on when the contour geometric dimension is the same. Also, CBIHP has lighter weight and larger section modulus when the nominal force is the same than the traditional hydraulic press. Finally, a 6300KN cylinder-beam integrated hydraulic press, which is the first CBIHP in the world and designed by Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2012, is also introduced in this paper. It can be seen from the results of numerical simulation for the CBIHP that both of the stresses and displacements on the press in the loading process are allowable.

The article discusses the importance of using open educational resources (OER) and the need to use the technology for the development of speaking skills in the foreign language as well. The concept of OER first emerged in the 1990s and Open Educational Resources Movement announced in 2001 that MIT's entire course catalog was being put online and the project was going to be launched at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002. This technology has a number of advantages. For example, the use of OER provides free access to textbooks, allows maximizing time efficiently, increases the interest and motivation of students and helps teachers transform classes. However, it is difficult to deny the existence of some problems regarding OER. The main disadvantages include the quality of the educational resource and the lack of Internet access in all regions of the world. But shortcomings are a ‘temporary issue’ and in the future OER will be adapted in all countries of the world to a greater extent. It will be productive to develop foreign language speech skills using OER, since it allows students to acquire new knowledge more quickly and effectively. The developments of such skills will undoubtedly occurre directly as a result of the continuing use of various authentic materials and the frequent use of these materials by foreign language teachers in the classes is a topical issue. As a result, teachers may encounter problems related to lack of suitable language teaching materials. An important condition for solving the problem is the use of OER, which helps the teacher to develop students’ required skills in the learning process.

Background: As of August 2021, every region of the world has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with more than 196,000,000 cases worldwide. Methods: We analysed COVID-19 cases among travellers from mainland China to different regions and countries, comparing the region- and country-specific rates of detected and confirmed cases per flight volume to estimate the relative sensitivity of surveillance in different regions and countries. Results: Although travel restrictions from Wuhan City and other cities across China may have reduced the absolute number of travellers to and from China, we estimated that up to 70% (95% CI: 54% - 80%) of imported cases could remain undetected relative to the sensitivity of surveillance in Singapore. The percentage of undetected imported cases rises to 75% (95% CI 66% - 82%) when comparing to the surveillance sensitivity in multiple countries. Conclusions: Our analysis shows that a large number of COVID-19 cases remain undetected across the world. These undetected cases potentially resulted in multiple chains of human-to-human transmission outside mainland China.
