The study was conducted to know Conception Rate and Service per Conception of  Bali cattle acceptors in west Sumbaw district. Data were collected fot the periode of January to September 2017 from inseminator in west Sumbawa district. The data were taken by primary and secondary data. Primary data retrieval is done by direct observation, which includes several variables, where the variable include the identitiy of the breeder, the cages, feeding, drinking and knowladge of breeders. The secondary data were obtained by recording of the officer insemination. All data was analyzed to find a percentage of Conception Rate and find number of Service per Conception (S/C) by analyzed descriptive of SPSS. Risults of this research showed that Conception Rate and Service per Conception’s average of Bali Cattle is 60 % and 1,7. The conculusion of this research showed that Conception Rate is lower than normal value and Service per Conception of Bali cattle in West Sumbawa district is better. This research was expected to be a reference for the next artificial insemination programmed by the government.

One of the problems that exist in the community is the lack of identification of the reproductive performance of prospective brooders of Bali cattle that are artificially inseminated. The researcher conducted a research to determine the reproductive performance of Bali Cattle inseminated with Brahman Cattle Semen in SECP (Special Effort for Cows to be Pregnant Program) Program in Kolaka Regency. The parameters observed in this study were; artificial insemination's first age (Years), How many times the artificial insemination (AI) was pregnant (S/C), Length of pregnancy (months), Calving Interval (CI) (months), Birth weight (Kilograms), Correlation of AI's first age with birth weight. Sources of date used in this study are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques carried out in this study were observation and interviews. The date obtained was analyzed descriptively, analysis of variance, average, and to calculate the relationship between variables was analyzed by correlation. Reproductive performance of Bali Cattle inseminated with Brahman Cattle Semen in SECP Program in Kolaka district include; first age AI 23.63±1.99 months, Service per Conception (S/C) 1.56±0.55, gestational age 9.03±0.38 months, Calving Interval (CI) 12.24±0 .52 months, birth weight 27.85 ± 2.96 and the correlation between AI prime age and birth spacing was 0.77.

Kata Kunci: membran plasma, motilitas, sapi bali, spermatozoa, viabilitasABSTRACTAndromed is difficult to obtain at any given time so we need other alternatives to reduce the use of andromed. The aim of this study was to understand the effect of carrot juice as a diluent to reduce the use of andromed diluents in bali cattle semen. This study used semen from bali cattle from the Artificial Insemination Center of Tuah Sakato, Payakumbuh. The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and five replications. The treatments consisted of  100% andromed (P0), 5% carrot juice + 95%andromed(P1),10% carrot juice + 90% andromed (P2), and 15% carrot juice + 85% andromed (P3). The variables measured were the percentage of motility, the percentage of viability, the percentage of abnormality and percentage of intact plasma membrane after dilution and after thawing. The results showed that the motility values and membrane values of the intact plasma membrane of cattle spermatozoa after dilution and post-thawing were not significantly different, but were significantly different in abnormality percentage and viability percentage. This study concluded that carrot juice could reduce the use of andromed up to 15% as a diluent in bali cattle semen. Keywords: bali cattle, motility, plasm membrane, viability, spermatozoa

This research objective was to increase the rate of pregnancy in Bali cattle using eCG and PGF2 14α">  at Buleleng, Bali. The experimental animal used in this study comprised of 18 female Bali cattles, with normal estrus cycle and 18 months old of age. The Bali cattles are all healthy with a body score of at least 2. The Control Group was injected with PGF2α 25 mg intramuscular twice on day 0 and day 11. Treatment Group 1 was injected with PGF2α 25 mg and eCG dosage of 400 IU intramuscular. Treatment Group 2 was injected with PGF2α 25 mg and eCG dosage of 600 IU intramuscular. On day 14, the female Bali cattle both Treatment Group 1 and 2 respectively showed signs of estrus. Few hours’ later artificial insemination was performed on the same day. On Day 30, all 18 female Bali cattle were checked for pregnancy using Ultrasonography (USG). The female Bali cattle were assumed to be pregnant because there were signs of enlargement in cornua uteri unilaterally.  Therefore, this indicates that there was no significant difference between Treatment Group 1 and Treatment Group 2 in pregnancy rate. The results from Control Group showed 4 pregnant and 2 not-pregnant; Treatment Group 1 showed 6 pregnant; Treatment Group 2 showed 6 pregnant. Based on the results, Control Group showed 88% of the Bali cattle were pregnant. Meanwhile, Treatment Group 1 and Treatment Group 2 showed 100% pregnant from the total 18 Bali cattle. Therefore, this research showed a positive feedback consistent with the objective. Key words: Bali Cattle, eCG, PGF2 14α">  and The Rate of Pregnancy.
