Based on the observations at Computer and Network Engineering program in Vocational High School 2 Pekanbaru, modules utilized in Computer and Network Basic subjects are not optimal. It very well may be seen from the absence of student motivation when reading the modules, because the modules is not interesting and still in form of paper sheets that must be photocopied first. Students still rely on teacher for getting information during learning. Based on it, this research aims to develop an Android based e-module on Computer and Network Basic subjects that are valid, practical and effective as an independent learning alternative that can be utilized independently by students. This research uses Research and Development (R & D) and Instructional Development Institute (IDI). And the advancement model comprising of three phases : define, develop and evaluate. The instrument utilized in this research is a questionnaire, that utilized to measure the validity and the practicality of Android-based e-module. Meanwhile, to measure the effectiveness uses multiple choice questions as instrument. The outcomes showed that the Android-based e-module are valid based on the validation on each aspect by the validator. Android-based e-modules are practical based on teacher / practitioner and student response. By comparing the learning outcomes of students before and after utilizing e-module, the learning result raise by 14% after learning used e-module. It means that Android-based e-module is effectively utilized as an alternative learning media that can be studied independently by students in improving learning outcomes.

Computer and Network Fundamental is one of the teaching subjects atComputer and Network Engineering Vocational High School in Indonesia. Thelearning activities at the research location was less interactive because of thelearning process still uses conventional textbooks or static digital books.Solutions that offered in the research are not only interactive digital book productdevelopment inappropriate way but also product implementation in experimentaldesign. The development used Four-D Model. The experimental design usedMatching-Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The instrumentation usedobservation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Content Validity Content(CVR) value based on Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) evaluation result for goal, learner, learning, context, and technical criteria are above 0.75. Paired T-Test andIndependent T-Test results showed that interactive digital book implementationin the learning process can cause an enhancement in student learning outcomes.

This research was aimed at developing and validating English learning materials for students of computer network engineering of Vocational High School (VHS) at peripheral city of Indonesia. This study followed the Research and Development (R&D) method. It involved three experts in the field of English instruction, ten students and one English teacher of Vocational High School (VHS) Teladan Metro, Lampung which was considered as a peripheral part of Indonesia. The research data were drawn from questionnaire distributed to the students, an interview conducted to the English teacher, and the developed materials which had been validated by the experts. The findings of the research show: (1) the development of English learning materials for computer networking should be centred around the students learning needs; (2) a prompting visuals aspect and a clear map of the course book are what make the developed course book more acceptable, and (3) experts validation of the developed course book enhances its readability and acceptability. It is recommended that English teachers of VHS would design their own supplementary learning materials as the nation-wide use materials might not cover all of the students learning needs.

Good competence mastering for the package of Computer and Network Engineering skill can’t be separated from maturity of competence achievement in the skill program basic as well. Thus, with good and appropriate basic competence achievement of Computer and Network Engineering skill, competence mastering of Computer and Network Engineering skill will also be great. Computer assembly subject is one subject which included into basic of Computer and Network Engineering skill. Besides that, computer assembly subject supports computer technician work which much needed in the industrial or business world. Less basic competence mastering of Computer and Network Engineering skill is assumed due to many aspects, both internal and external aspect. Internal aspect includes factor which affects from the inside of student such as learning skill. External aspect is factor which affects from student’s outside such as teacher teaching skill. This research aims to know how large the contribution of teaching skill and learning skill to the vocational competence achievement for students in the Vocational High School (SMK-Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) at Computer and Network Engineering skill Malang City. Type and data analysis in this research included into quantitative research. Sample in this research was 199 students in the 10th Grade. Data collection technique for teaching skill and learning skill variable used questionnaire, while competence achievement of computer assembly variable used test and documentation. Data analysis that used in this research was frequency distribution with SPSS program for Windows version 16. Data analysis included description and multiple regression. Research result showed that: (1) contribution of teaching skill to the competence achievement of computer assembly was 5%; (2) contribution of learning skill to the competence achievement of computer assembly was 8%; and (3) contribution of teaching skill and student learning skill simultaneously to the competence achievement for computer assembly was 20.2%. Suggestion that recommended in this research as follow: (1) it needs improvement or development for teachers in order to be able to give question and distribute the question which will encourage student to have critical thinking; (2) it needs guidance for students who have difficulty in arranging their learning schedule and cooperate with parents in order to support their children’s effort to be discipline in learning as with the learning schedule.
