Abstract The analysis of carbon footprint plays an important role in the management of tourism scenic spots. This paper first introduced the calculation method of carbon footprint and ecological efficiency value of tourism scenic spots, then analyzed the general situation of tourism scenic spots in Jiangsu province and collected the data of 2013–17 to calculate the carbon footprint and ecological efficiency value. The results showed that the carbon footprint of tourism scenic spots in Jiangsu province was increasing year by year, of which the traffic carbon footprint accounted for the largest proportion, 60%. The value of ecological benefits of accommodation was the largest, followed by catering, activities and transportation, and accommodation created the highest economic benefits. According to the calculation results, some suggestions were put forward for the ecological efficiency management of tourism scenic spots in Jiangsu province, which is conducive to the better development of tourism scenic spots.

The project of returning farmland to forest is a new project of increasing farmers' income, ecological efficiency and benefiting the country. The key to the success of returning farmland to forest project is to strictly control the key technologies such as regional planning, forest species selection, tree species selection, good seedling, structural configuration, meticulous soil preparation, serious planting, tending and management. According to the actual situation of Yuanling County, suitable for the tree, choose the market prospects, fast-growing tree species afforestation, reasonable adjustment of forest structure, ecological benefits and economic benefits simultaneously, take high- quality high-yield and efficient forestry development. Returning farmland to forest project has played huge ecological benefits, economic and social benefits.

Specimens of various sizes are used to determine hydrogen content in deposited metals in such standards as ISO 3690, AWS A 4.3, and GOST 23338 while measuring methods are the same. It causes problems in comparison of experimental results and brings up the following question: what kind of specimen size is optimal to determine hydrogen content? An optimal specimen size was estimated using a calculation method. Experimental and calculation results obtained by using specimens with estimated dimensions were compared to the results obtained by using the specimen with dimensions of 100*25*8 mm to determine hydrogen content in a deposited metal.

In order to obtain the non-linear average stress-average strain relationships (σ-ε curves) of damaged structural members under both tensile and compressive loads, the systematical calculations are performed using the non-linear FE analysis (FEA) code, LS-DYNA, and the idealized σ-ε curves of damaged structural members are estimated from FEA results. In addition, by introducing the idealized σ-ε curves of damaged structural members to the simplified calculation program, which is developed by authors and based on the Smith’s method, the residual ultimate strength of damaged hull structures is calculated. The residual ultimate strength of damaged hull structures is also calculated utilizing FEA, the calculation results by the simplified calculation program are compared with the results obtained from FE analyses so as to examine the accuracy of simplified calculation method.

Due to manufactured technology enchantment the living being has much convenience and luxury. Though, at the same time, our current existence is doing damage to the environment. Like water pollution, air pollution and Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions on so forth. But CO2 emissions are the one of the major reason polluting the environment. Furthermost of what we utilise in our daily life lead to emitting CO2 into the environment. Due to this it leads to global warming and climate change problems. Therefore, carbon auditing (Carbon Footprint Analysis) is the first essential step to review the use of energy, to improve energy conservation and to allow building to go green. For this reason we need carbon audit to reduce usage raw materials, waste generation so on so forth to minimise GHG emissions .“CARBON AUDIT” is conducted within the building’s boundary which includes the following stages:- People Survey to gather employee-level data, Building Survey to gather building-operation data, Carbon Footprint Analysis to evaluate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission and Final Carbon Audit Report to provide tailored recommendations for going green along with action plan to get started

Abstract Mangrove forests are natural resources in coastal areas that have an important role in terms of social, economic and ecological aspects. However, the utilization of the mangrove ecosystem makes it vulnerable to damage. This study aims to determine the level of public knowledge of the economic, ecological benefits and damage that happened to mangrove areas in Tarakan City. The scoring method was used to determine the total score or the total score of the respondents’ answers, which amount to 50 people. that the community’s knowledge of the economic benefits of mangrove forests was categorized as know for the benefits of mangroves as firewood, mangrove areas as a place for settlement, mangroves as a place to get fish and mangrove benefits as aquaculture areas with total scores of 226, 200, 232,230 respectively. However, the level of community knowledge about the benefits of mangroves as a medicinal ingredient obtained a total score of 164, which means the level of community knowledge was in the doubtful category. While the level of community knowledge of the ecological benefits of mangrove forests as coastline guards, sea wave barriers, sea wind protectors, and animal breeding sites were included in the category of “Know” with a total score of 228, 224, 234, 240 respectively, but the level of knowledge The community regarding the benefits of mangroves that can manage household waste was in the “doubtful” category with a total score of 128. The community was aware of the damage to mangrove forest ecosystems caused by garbage, logging / mangroves, expanding aquaculture, settlements and increasing population. with a total score of 234,232, 210,228 and 200 levels of knowledge, respectively, which are included in the “Know” category.

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic is impacting entire countries. One of them is having an impact on CO2 emissions in Indonesia and Japan. The research project is focused on the use of transportation and electricity by Japanese Literature students of BINUS and Wakayama University Japan students before and during the pandemic. Concepts and methodologies, looking at the situation before and during a pandemic, using quantitative methods and approaches based on carbon footprint analysis. This study provides results showing that the use of electronics and transportation which has CO2 emissions is drastically reduced both in Indonesia and in Japan. However, Japan has higher CO2 emissions when compared to Indonesia which is influenced by certain factors, such as transportation mileage.

In recent years, mobile payments have gradually replaced cash payments, resulting in a gradual decline in the number of automatic teller machines (ATMs) demanded by banks. Through investigation and analysis, we determine four means to deal with decommissioned ATMs, and construct thereafter an ATM reverse logistics (RL_ATMs) network model, which includes suppliers, producers, warehouses, operators, maintenance centers, collection and inspection centers, disposal centers, remanufacturing centers, and recycling centers. This model is further expressed as a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model. Given that an ATM recycling network has planned and batched characteristics, a percentage diversion method is proposed to transform a real multi-cycle problem to a single-cycle problem. The RL_ATMs network constructed in this study presents the two forms of ATMs, functional modules and the entire machine. We used the actual situations of the related companies and enterprises in Anhui Province and its surrounding areas, as well as major banks’ ATMs, as bases in using the LINGO software to solve the proposed MILP model with the objective function of minimizing costs and environmental emissions, and obtain the relevant companies’ launch operations. Lastly, we analyzed the relationship between coefficients in the percentage diversion method and calculation results, cost, and carbon emissions. Accordingly, we find that the number of remanufacturing and maintenance centers has no evident impact on the objective function, transportation costs account for a large proportion of the total cost, and emissions tax is small.

The fire resistance of concrete filled steel tubular column is usually obtained by the numerical analysis method, which is difficult to operate and not convenient in the actual civil engineering. So it is necessary to study the simplified calculation method. A large number of numerical simulation results of the temperature distribution of the section and the bearing capacity at high temperature of the concrete filled steel tubular columns are analyzed. The influences of secondary parameters are simplified. The simplified calculation method at 150 min and 180 min for the bearing capacity at high temperature of concrete filled steel tubular columns subjected to axial compression and fire is presented on the basis of comprehensive analysis of the numerical calculation results. The calculation results can be used as the basis to judge the fire resistance. It is shown by the comparison with the experimental results that the precision of the simplified calculation method can meet the requirements of engineering application.
