Assessment of the structure durability of concrete bridge in service is crucial for determining whether their service performance is meeting the design requirements or not. In this paper we classify the whole structure of bridge into two levels, i.e.bridge structure and bridge components. A two-level-multi-index model for evaluating the durability of concrete bridges in service is established based on the dependent functions of various factors, in which the dependent functions are chosen in accordance with the difference of various factors affecting the deterioration of durability of components. In this model, the durability of the bridge is divided into five different fuzzy levels: intact, disrepaired, damaged, severely damaged, and dangerous. Finally, based on fuzzy mathematics theory, the durability level of a bridge in practice is evaluated by using the maximum subordination principle.

This chapter proposes a new evaluation method for social service systems in order to support participants to create new knowledge and value. The main proposal is a rating scale method that can evaluate the current level (as-is) and the future desire (to-be) of participants, and with which we can analyze achievements of individuals. By using a concrete example of an education program, which is a worth living discovery seminar for retired men, the chapter reports the results of hypothetical tests on the relationships between items of evaluation and an interesting finding related to the reason of differences in attitude of participants.

<p style="margin: 1em 0px;"><span lang="EN-GB"><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: medium;">In order to reduce the energy consumption and enhance the robustness of wireless sensor network (WSN), this paper proposes a hierarchical clustering routing algorithm based on fuzzy mathematics (HCRAFM). To make a comprehensive analysis of WSN, it is also necessary to detect the robustness of the network. Facing the multiple random variables, the traditional robustness detection models assume that all nodes have the same weight, making it impossible to quantify the analysis indices or obtain accurate results. Thus, the fuzzy mathematics theory was introduced to the WSN robustness detection, forming a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The simulation results show that the HCRAFM strikes a load balance between WSN nodes, extends the life cycle of each node, and prolongs the service life of the network. In addition, the proposed algorithm is proved to have sound robustness and strong applicability.</span></span></p>

Selecting the favorable conceptual design scheme is the first step to make a new product development (NPD) successfully. To guarantee reliability and rationality of decision-making about multiple design schemes in conceptual design stage under the impact of uncertainties and qualitative information, we have employed KJ method to cluster the evaluation factors into 5 clusters such as emotion, ergonomics, aesthetics, core technology, and impact; and fuzzy mathematics method to deal with uncertainties and qualitative information effectively. The weights of evaluation factors were calculated by analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Fuzzy mathematics method is the comprehensive evaluation method and quantitative analysis which based on the “maximum membership degree evaluation”. All design schemes are ranked and selected according to the multiple evaluation score of parts with their weights. Finally, a case study for decision-making is presented to demonstrate the application of the evaluation method.

It is widely used because of its characteristics for clear results and strong system, and it can solve the problem of fuzzy and difficult to quantify. The article explores the problem of selecting performance criteria for evaluating waste collection and transportation system. The paper deals with the participants and processes involved in the before introduced processes. A literature review of criteria used for service evaluation is presented. The standards of selecting stages are identified. According to the specificity and complex­ity of the tested system, the complexity of the criteria for the diversity of different dimensions to evaluate similar system requires the evaluation method that allows assessing different dimensions of the factors. Santrauka Šiame straipsnyje nagrinėjama viena iš atliekų tvarkymo sistemos fazių – atliekų surinkimas ir vežimas. Tyrime keliama atliekų surinkimo ir vežimo sistemos efektyvumo vertinimo – kriterijų nustatymo – problema. Straipsnyje analizuoja­mi atliekų surinkimo ir vežimo sistemą, jos dalyvius ir procesus nagrinėjantys moksliniai darbai ir jų potencialas. Nagrinėjami mokslinėje literatūroje minimi kriterijai, skirti sistemai ar tam tikrai jos daliai apibūdinti. Įvardinti pagrindiniai kriterijų nustaty­mo etapai; tuo vadovaujantis nustatyti atliekų surinkimo ir vežimo sistemos efektyvumą apibūdinantys kriterijai. Atsižvelgiant į tiriamos sistemos specifiką: sudėtingumą, kompleksinio vertinimo poreikį, naudojamų kriterijų sistemai apibūdinti įvairovę, nustatyta, kad šioms fazėms būdingi skirtingų dimensijų rodikliai. Konstatuota, kad sistemos efektyvumui įvertinti būtina tai­kyti metodus, kurie leidžia apibūdinti skirtingų dimensijų veiksnius.
