The simulation of regular shock wave (e.g., half-sine) can be achieved by the traditional rubber shock simulator, but the practical high-power shock wave characterized by steep prepeak and gentle postpeak is hard to be realized by the same. To tackle this disadvantage, a novel high-power hydraulic shock wave simulator based on the live firing muzzle shock principle was proposed in the current work. The influence of the typical shock characteristic parameters on the shock force wave was investigated via both theoretical deduction and software simulation. According to the obtained data compared with the results, in fact, it can be concluded that the developed hydraulic shock wave simulator can be applied to simulate the real condition of the shocking system. Further, the similarity evaluation of shock wave simulation was achieved based on the curvature distance, and the results stated that the simulation method was reasonable and the structural optimization based on software simulation is also beneficial to the increase of efficiency. Finally, the combination of theoretical analysis and simulation for the development of artillery recoil tester is a comprehensive approach in the design and structure optimization of the recoil system.

Configuration technology is a new technology for monitoring in the current society; it is the result of the development of computer control technology. To traffic light control system, it is to combine the use of configuration technology and procedures related to PLC, and through software simulation and traffic lights light changes, traffic light control system could achieve the monitoring problem, and if the system is in good condition, its application can save a lot of labor powers and materials.

Teaching short-circuit analysis is conducted primarily through case studies; however, there are not many validated short-circuit studies available on the subject, especially when considering off-nominal turns ratio transformers. In order to improve the teaching of short-circuit analysis, a three phase short-circuit study in an industrial system according to ANSI/IEEE standards by means of Zmatrix method is presented; two case studies are considered: the industrial system with nominal and offnominal turns ratio transformers, in both cases the step by step solution is given in an explicit manner and the analytical results are validated through software simulation.

The current study assessed the effectiveness of interactive computer-assisted instruction software in reducing subsequent errors in scoring the WISC–III. Errors in scoring from 84 protocols of graduate students presented with this software simulation as part of their initial training were compared with errors in scoring from 77 protocols of graduate students without such training. These were different sets of students matched for amount of training and differing in having the training component. Protocols from the former group contained significantly fewer errors of correct assignment of points, failure to question when specified to do so, and over-all total number of errors. Mechanical errors, conversion errors, and errors establishing correct starting and stopping points (basal and ceiling points) were not significant. The results support the effectiveness of computer-assisted instruction when used in conjunction with classroom training.

Currently, there is an urgent need for indoor positioning technology. Considering the complexity of indoor environment, this paper proposes a new positioning algorithm (N-CHAN) via the analysis of the error of arrival time positioning (TOA) and the channels of S-V model. It overcomes an obvious shortcoming that the accuracy of traditional CHAN algorithm effected by no-line-of-sight (NLOS). Finally, though MATLAB software simulation, we prove that N-CHAN’s superior performance in NLOS in the S-V channel model, which has a positioning accuracy of centimeter-level and can effectively eliminate the influence of NLOS error on positioning accuracy. Moreover, the N-CHAN can effectively improve the positioning accuracy of the system, especially in the conditions of larger NLOS error.

In order to accurately describe the growth behavior of the micro-fracture under the action of the rock external load, this paper proposes the use of chaos theory to describe the fracture formation process, explains the chaotic characteristics of the fracture from the perspective of the growth of micro-fracture, the number of growth and fracture formation morphology, respectively. Selecting the practical block of an oilfield, the theoretical calculation and finite element software simulation results show that, theoretical calculations are accurate and reliable.
