The quality of science education is a very contemporary didactic topic at present. Improving the quality of this education is unthinkable without a quality science teacher training at universities and other educational institutions. Some innovation of contents and organization of the study programme for future science teachers was realized within the ESF project "Professional science teacher training for careers in a competitive environment" at Faculty of Science of Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The project focuses on improving the training of teachers of all science branches in connection with the growing needs of the current competitive labour market. One of the main aims of the project leading to this improvement was the creation of new and innovated subjects oriented to teaching practice. A research focused on finding benefits of the new subjects for students was realized within the project. The objective of the research was to investigate the difference between students’ expectations and real benefits of the subjects. The research results were very useful as a feedback for a subsequent modification of the study programs. Some particular examples of the process and results of the research are described in the paper. Key words: initial teacher training, science subjects, innovation, evaluation.

ABSTRACTTeacher training guided in the use of Information and Communication Technologies, ICTs, through education mode Distance, distance education, has provided a strong alternative as regards the training of teachers and the struggle for quality education, with the expansion of offering various courses in this mode and in the interests of expanding the quality of education. The quality of education is seen as an effective learning space from the set of pedagogical and technical quality policies development (Mec, 2011). To answer this set of pedagogical and political techniques is necessary that teachers are up to date. Considering these issues, this article aims to analyze the quality of education through teacher training course offered at a distance by a Brazilian public university. The methodology used is descriptive exploratory research, a case study, in which the research subjects are the teachers graduates of the eighth edition of the teacher training course for the Educational Service Specialist (ESA). The research instrument was a questionnaire and the analysis of the results are satisfactory, showing that the course presents quality and contributes positively to the training of teachers.RESUMOEste artigo tem o objetivo de analisar a acessibilidade de alguns cursos das principais plataformas de MOOCs (Cursos Abertos Massivos Online, em inglês, Massive Open Online Courses), utilizando programas avaliadores de acessibilidade, por meio de uma pesquisa descritiva exploratória. Contato principal: [email protected]

The Education and Training Center (ETC) is one of the institutions that plays role in increasing the quality level of human resources. This study aims to see the effect simultaneously and partially between the competence of instructors and infrastructure on the quality of ETC graduates in the face of the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The population in this study consists of all ETCs in Indragiri Hulu, there are 15 ETCs and all ETCs were sampled. Multiple regression and correlation analysis using SPSS 22.0 was used to determine whether or not there is an influence and relationship between variables. The results of the study concluded (1) the competence of instructors and infrastructure simultaneously had a significant effect on the quality of graduates. (2) Instructor competence partially has a significant effect on the quality of graduates. (3) Facilities partially has a significant effect on the quality of graduates. The variable that has the greatest contribution to the quality of ETC graduates in Indragiri Hulu Regency is the competence of the instructor followed by infrastructure. In this case, of education it will be very difficult for ETC graduates to compete in the world of work. Because this is a factor caused from within the ETC itself.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to present a lesson study (LS) approach implemented as part of the initial training of primary school teachers in a course on the oversight and accompaniment of learning. This course aims to develop students’ ability to analyse their practice and to shift attention to pupils’ learning processes. Design/methodology/approach – Data were collected on the contribution of the LS system and interaction protocols used in class, according to students. Findings – Qualitative analysis of this data shows the role played by the use of theoretical concepts in the quality of their planning, the depth of their analysis and the quality of their work in class. Practical implications – This work opens avenues for teacher training, in particular in terms of encouraging students to use theoretical concepts to prepare, implement and analyse their teaching. Originality/value – This approach is of interest in that it examines the use of theoretical concepts in a study lesson system during initial teacher training.
