The purpose of stock portfolio selection is how to allocate the capital to a large number of stocks in order to bring a most profitable return for investors. In most of past literatures, experts considered the portfolio of selection problem only based on past crisp or quantitative data. However, many qualitative and quantitative factors will influence the stock portfolio selection in real investment situation. It is very important for experts or decision-makers to use their experience or knowledge to predict the performance of each stock and make a stock portfolio. Because of the knowledge, experience, and background of each expert are different and vague, different types of 2-tuple linguistic variable are suitable used to express experts' opinions for the performance evaluation of each stock with respect to criteria. According to the linguistic evaluations of experts, the linguistic TOPSIS and linguistic ELECTRE methods are combined to present a new decision-making method for dealing with stock selection problems in this paper. Once the investment set has been determined, the risk preferences of investor are considered to calculate the investment ratio of each stock in the investment set. Finally, an example is implemented to demonstrate the practicability of the proposed method.

Asset allocation is a critical concern for any investor in the financial market. This paper aims to prioritize five randomly selected firms from the top ten stocks by market capitalization of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) by opting for adequate financial procedures and practical criteria under uncertain conditions. Decision makers want not only the ranking order of stocks but also capital proportions to be allocated. Therefore, this study uses a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approach comprising of an integrated analytic network process (ANP) and decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) in a grey environment for optimal portfolio selection to provide both ranking and weighting information for decision makers. Results indicate that return, financial ratios, dividends, and risk are causal criteria group, which are the most influential determinants for obtaining high benefits with regards to stock portfolio selection in SSE. The free float of stocks is the least influencing criterion among all identified criteria of stock portfolio selection of SSE. The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. stocks have the highest allocated proportion with the highest priority shown by investors and can be described as a suitable alternative. The practical implications of this research are that the approach, when applied, highlights how the grey system theory minimizes the uncertainties in all stages of decision-making of portfolio selection.

The present work proposes the use of data visu-alization techniques allied to an Augmented Reality (AR) user interface to provide information for users to define the most convenient location to sit down at an event. This accounts for different sets of arbitrary demands by projecting 3D information directly atop the seats. The users can also rearrange the data to narrow down the search and switch the attribute being displayed, e.g. temperature, stage visibility, exit access or Wi-Fi signal. The proposed approach was tested against a comparable 2D interactive visualization of the same data. Each user performed twelve location choosing tasks in an average sized classroom. Qualitative and quantitative data indicated that the augmented solution is promising in some senses, exposing that AR may help users to make better decisions.

Nowadays the multi-criteria decision making is very complicated due to uncertainty, vagueness, limited sources, knowledge and time. The Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is a widely used multi-criteria decision-making method to analyze the structure of a complex system. It is useful in analysing the cause and effect relationships between the components of the system. Fuzzy sets can be used to include uncertainty in multi-criteria decision making. Linguistic assessments of decision makers can be translated into fuzzy numbers. In this study, fuzzy numbers, intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and neutrosophic fuzzy numbers were used for the decision makers evaluations in the DEMATEL method. The aim of this study was to evaluate how different types of fuzzy numbers affect the final results. An application of risk in construction projects was selected from the literature, where seven experts used a linguistic scale to evaluate different criteria. The results showed that there are only slight differences between the weights of the criteria with regard to the type of fuzzy numbers.

Night entertainments become a special attraction for tourists to fulfill their holidays in Bali with just listening to the music’s or enjoying drinks provided in bars, discotheque/cafes. By these facilities, Bali become a magnet of both domestic and foreign tourists. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data, while the data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The data collecting is done with the observation field, in-depth interview, and questionnaires. Then the data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative with the record and explain the results cleary based on the formulation of a problem that has been determined, as well as questionnaires are analyzed using quantitative data as data supporters of the research.   The results of this research explains that there are several different types of activities that can be done in place of evening entertainment, including dancing, enjoy music, and enjoy drinks and meals are offered in the café/restaurant. Then from the results of the questionnaire obtained the results that the response of local communities included in the stages of Apathy, which previously accepted as tourism sector economic growth but this time its presence was felt not to mention everything. People living in the surroundings feel uncomfortable and insecure due to the activity of the night until the early hours Keywords :Response of Local People, Night Entertainment, Legian Kuta

q-Rung orthopair fuzzy number (qROFN) is a flexible and superior fuzzy information description tool which can provide stronger expressiveness than intuitionistic fuzzy number and Pythagorean fuzzy number. Muirhead mean (MM) operator and its dual form geometric MM (GMM) operator are two all-in-one aggregation operators for capturing the interrelationships of the aggregated arguments because they are applicable in the cases in which all arguments are independent of each other, there are interrelationships between any two arguments, and there are interrelationships among any three or more arguments. Archimedean T-norm and T-conorm (ATT) are superior operations that can generate general and versatile operational rules to aggregate arguments. To take advantage of qROFN, MM operator, GMM operator, and ATT in multicriteria group decision making (MCGDM), an Archimedean MM operator, a weighted Archimedean MM operator, an Archimedean GMM operator, and a weighted Archimedean GMM operator for aggregating qROFNs are presented to solve the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs in this paper. The properties of these operators are explored and their specific cases are discussed. On the basis of the presented operators, a method for solving the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs is proposed. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated via a numerical example, a set of experiments, and qualitative and quantitative comparisons. The demonstration results suggest that the proposed method has satisfying generality and flexibility at aggregating q-rung orthopair fuzzy information and capturing the interrelationships of criteria and the attitudes of decision makers and is feasible and effective for solving the MCGDM problems based on qROFNs.

The complexity of problems and the necessity to find a comprehensive approach to their solution favours the search for various methods that support the decision making process in the construction industry. At present, the multi-criteria methods lead the way. They enable the assessment of the problem in many aspects and with taking into account qualitative and quantitative data. Moreover, these methods do not limit the decision-maker in terms of the number of considered variants as well as the scope and the type of adopted assessment criteria. The aim of the article is to present the procedure of assessment of proposed building material solutions with taking into account the division of criteria due to their character – benefits (B) and costs (C). It was shown the dependence adopted by the decision maker strategy on the final ranking of solutions using the BOCR approach in the AHP method.

The international trend for large, corporately owned nightclubs that are similar around the globe is changing and homogenizing the public drinking cultures in many large cities. To better understand this phenomenon, we examined the different types of clubs in Toronto, Canada. The typology is drawn from qualitative and quantitative data compiled by trained observers who conducted 1,056 nights of unobtrusive observations in 75 high-capacity nightclubs. Ten club “types” were constructed using the genre of music as the primary distinction: Dance, Superclub, Rave, Lounge, Upscale, Pop, Salsa, Reggae-Rap, Alternative, and Live Music. These types roughly approximate different subcultures, and provided a means to explore differences related to age, gender, ethnicity patterns, and alcohol and drug usage, as well as the apparent functions for which patrons frequented the different types of clubs. The predominant pattern of the current club scene in Toronto is one of large, corporately owned clubs frequented by a youthful multiethnic clientele, with most club environments characterized by slick décor and heightened sexuality.

Abstract This paper has proposed a novel Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) technique that considers relationships among the criteria, relationships among the alternatives, relationships among the criteria and the alternatives, the uncertainty or dilemma that the decision makers face in their decision making, the entropy among the criteria. The dilemma of the decision makers has been captured through the use of Hesitant Fuzzy Elements; the information content among the criteria has been captured by applying the concept of entropy through the application of a technique called IDOCRIW. A kind of sensitivity analysis has been performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique. The proposed method has also been compared with four different types of already existing MCDA techniques, AHP, MAUT, MACBETH and MOORA. Both the sensitivity analysis and the comparison with other methods establish the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

There are many different types of datasets represented by maps in thematic cartography. It is possible to represent features and phenomenon referencing to area as well as to point. Furthermore, it is possible to represent qualitative data as well as quantitative data. There are many different ways to represent them. One of the most important and most used cartographic symbols of lettering is colour, resp. colour scales, which are chosen according to shown data. This article is focused on the perception of colour scales in relation to character of data. For experiment, a new questionnaire was created on the basis of colour scales classification. This questionnaire was posed to the students of years 1 and 2 of high school in order to find out how they perceive the colour scales. The study analyzes three main questions; whether students differentiate qualitative and quantitative datasets and corresponding colour scales, whether they prefer representing of features by context colours or by the colour they like more and whether they are familiar with principles of diverging colour scales. When processing it, the correlation between certain agents and the answers was established.
