With technological and economic development, people’s lives have been improved substantially, especially their home environments. One of the key aspects of these improvements is home intellectualization, whose core is the smart home control system. Furthermore, as smart phones have become increasingly popular, we can use them to control the home system through Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GSM. This means that control with phones is more convenient and fast and now becomes the primary terminal controller in the smart home. In this paper, we propose middleware for developing a cross-platform Android/iOS-based solution for smart switch control software, focus on the Wi-Fi based communication protocols between the cellphone and the smart switch, achieved a plugin-based smart switch function, defined and implemented the JavaScript interface, and then implemented the cross-platform Android/iOS-based smart switch control software; also the scenarios are illustrated. Finally, tests were performed after the completed realization of the smart switch control system.

In this paper, the development of a smart scalable system for liquid supply based on high-precision peristaltic pumps is described. The architecture of software and hardware for the proposed system is considered. This liquid supply system can be used for mixed and layered cocktail preparation in public catering establishments, such as bars, as well as for home use. Due to the flexibility and scalability of the system, it is possible to apply it in various branches of human activity, where fine dosing of liquids is required, e.g., for beverage mixing, cooking, health and medical applications. By using open architecture and software, this system can be built in a smart home environment. The cross-platform control software and an embedded Bluetooth module allow using the developed setup in various use case scenarios. The result of the project is a DIY-kit, capable of mixing 6 to 32 different liquids in specified proportions and the programmable sequence.

Aiming at the problems such as switch impulsion, insurmountability for influence caused by nonlinearity in one tank gun control system which adopts double PID controller to realize the multimode switch control between high speed and low speed movement, the system math model is built up; And then, Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) method based on nonroutine reference model is brought in and the adaptive gun controller is designed. Consequently, the compensation of nonlinearity and multimode control are implemented. Furthermore, the Tracking Differentiator (TD) is affiliated to the front of controller in order to restrain the impulsion caused by mode switch. Finally, the validity of control method in this paper is verified by simulation.

This paper describes the implementation of serial communication between the PLC and the host- computer in the control system of Spatial Carport, gives a detailed introduction to the communication protocols, parameters setting and also gives part of the serial-communication program based on visual basic 6.0. It shows that this control system meets the requirements as expected.

Hydraulic descaling system is the key device to ensure the surface quality of billet. However, traditional control methods lead to the stability problem in hydraulic descaling system. To solve the problem, the construction of the hydraulic descaling computer control system is studied, the working principle of the system is analyzed, and the high pressure water bench of hydraulic descaling is designed. Based on it, the corresponding computer control software is developed. The application shows that the designed system is stable in practice, which is helpful for enterprise production.

This paper provides a design for a PLC-based, variable-frequency governing, pressure-constant, automatic water-supply control system. This design is based on the current situations at the water supply plants found in small and medium cities in China. In this control system, the pressure signal across the pipe network is acquired by pressure sensors and then transmitted to PID modules in the PLC in order to control switching between pump motors. At the same time, the PLC is connected with a personal computer for industrial control purposes. On this computer, monitoring and control software has been installed in order to monitor and control the pressure-constant water-supply system on a real-time basis.
