With the wide application of distributed generations (DGs) and microgrids (MGs), the inverter control becomes a hot research topic. For the inverter control in MG applications, first, a complex variable state-feedback-based switch control frame is proposed. In the proposed control frame, the state feedback leads to a generalized control objective (GCO), and then the instantaneous voltage and current controls are designed based on the GCO. Finally, a complex variable frequency-locked loop (FLL) is adopted to realize the voltage and current reference computation. The control system is integrated by complex variables to alleviate the seamless switch. The effectiveness of the proposed control method is validated by experimental results.

Existing piezoelectric vibration energy harvesting circuits require auxiliary power for the switch control module and are difficult to adapt to broadband piezoelectric vibration energy harvesters. This paper proposes a self-powered and low-power enhanced double synchronized switch harvesting (EDSSH) circuit. The proposed circuit consists of a low-power follow-up switch control circuit, reverse feedback blocking-up circuit, synchronous electric charge extraction circuit and buck-boost circuit. The EDSSH circuit can automatically adapt to the sinusoidal voltage signal with the frequency of 1 to 312.5 Hz that is output by the piezoelectric vibration energy harvester. The switch control circuit of the EDSSH circuit works intermittently for a very short time near the power extreme point and consumes a low amount of electric energy. The reverse feedback blocking-up circuit of the EDSSH circuit can keep the transmission efficiency at the optimal value. By using a charging capacitor of 1 mF, the charging efficiency of the proposed EDSSH circuit is 1.51 times that of the DSSH circuit.

The paper aims to explore the relationship between the vertical plane luminance on projection screens and human visual clarity in the classroom or meeting room. While controlling the lighting environment conditions of the classroom to create different luminous distributions and luminance on the projection screen, a survey is conducted to understand students’ visual experience about screen clarity during the field experiment. The luminance of each picture on the projection screen is measured under the specified lighting conditions of luminaires in the classroom, and the relationship is formulated between the average luminance on the projection screen and the visual satisfaction based on clarity of experience. This will be useful for further studying the acceptable threshold of luminance distribution in the classroom to provide a better visual clarity and lighting quality of projection screens while teaching. In this study, the measurement and performance evaluation on a projection screen were carried out at a classroom in the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). By using an image luminance meter and analyzing the research results, we propose an improvement strategy for asymmetric luminous distribution design of LED light tube and light switch control mechanism of luminaires to resolve the inadequate luminance of the vertical projection screen area to improve the lighting quality and visual clarity of the projection screen while teaching with the least cost.

Abstract The design of quantum system control is a key task to a powerful quantum information technology. In practical, traditional quantum system control methods often face different constraints, and are easy to cause both leakage and stochastic control errors under the condition of limited resources. Reinforcement learning has been proved as an efficient way to complete the quantum system control task. So a quantum system control method based on enhanced reinforcement learning (QSC-ERL) is proposed. A satisfactory control strategy is obtained through enhanced reinforcement learning so that the quantum system can be evolved accurately from the initial state to the target state. According to the number of candidate unitary operations, the three-switch control is used for simulation experiments. Compared with other methods, the QSC-ERL can achieve high fidelity learning control of quantum systems and improve the efficiency of quantum system control.

The user interfaces of control panels used for electronic automation have been limited to devices such as remote control, key pad and touch screen for a long time. These interfaces are not natural and nor flexible for users. Consumers are expecting natural efficient user interfaces. Recent improvements in sensor technology are now opening the path for developers to add gesture control to their products. This Project presents a switch control panel for Touch-free user interface using simple hand gestures technique to control operations of Elevator/Lift. This gesture-based switch control panel is not just limited to Elevator/Lift, but can also be implemented in other areas such as Vending machines, ATMs and many more with little changes in software & hardware if required. To use this interactive system based on hand gestures, one does not require any prerequisite knowledge as in the case of touch-screens, keyboard etc.
