This article investigates an adaptive multi-switching synchronization for two identical high-order memristor-based hyperchaotic systems with uncertain parameters. Firstly, the dynamic characteristics of two high-order memristor hyperchaotic systems with uncertain parameters are analyzed. Then, an adaptive multi-switching controller is designed to realize the multi-switching synchronization of the two high-order hyperchaotic systems, and the unknown parameters of the systems are identified to their true values. Furthermore, numerical simulation results testify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Finally, the proposed algorithm applied in secure communication of masking encryption and image encryption is validated by statistical analysis.

We investigate the adaptive hybrid synchronization problem for a new hyperchaotic system with uncertain parameters. Based on the passivity theory and the adaptive control theory, corresponding controllers and parameter estimation update laws are proposed to achieve hybrid synchronization between two identical uncertain hyperchaotic systems with different initial values, respectively. Numerical simulation indicates that the presented methods work effectively.

This paper investigates the synchronization problem between two unidirectionally-coupled Rössler hyperchaotic systems in the presence of noise perturbations. Sufficient conditions are obtained for synchronization by using a particularly simple linear sliding mode surface that is based on the sliding mode control concept. Only one controller function is needed to achieve synchronization in our present approach which makes it much easier to implement in contrast to many other synchronization schemes that require two or more controllers. Numerical simulation results are also included to illustrate the superior features of this new scheme.

Function projective dual synchronization between two pairs of hyperchaotic systems with fully unknown parameters for drive and response systems is investigated. On the basis of the Lyapunov stability theory, a suitable and effective adaptive control law and parameters update rule for unknown parameters are designed, such that function projective dual synchronization between the hyperchaotic Chen system and the hyperchaotic Lü system with unknown parameters is achieved. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

In this paper, a simple and systematic adaptive feedback method for achieving lag projective stochastic perturbed synchronization of a new four-wing chaotic system with unknown parameters is presented. Moreover, a secure communication scheme based on the adaptive feedback lag projective synchronization of the new chaotic systems with stochastic perturbation and unknown parameters is presented. The simulation results show the feasibility of the proposed method.

A novel hyperchaotic system with fractional-order (FO) terms is designed. Its highly complex dynamics are investigated in terms of equilibrium points, Lyapunov spectrum, and attractor forms. It will be shown that the proposed system exhibits larger Lyapunov exponents than related hyperchaotic systems. Finally, to enhance its potential application, a related circuit is designed by using the MultiSIM Software. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the suggested circuit.

A nonlinear active tracking controller for the four-dimensional hyperchaotic Lorenz system is designed in the paper. The controller enables this hyperchaotic system to track all kinds of reference signals, such as the sinusoidal signal. The self-synchronization of the hyperchaotic Lorenz system and the different-structure synchronization with other chaotic systems can also be realized. Numerical simulation results show the effectiveness of the controller.

In this paper, a simple four-wing chaotic attractor is first proposed by replacing the constant parameters of the Chen system with a periodic piecewise function. Then, a new 4D four-wing memristive hyperchaotic system is presented by adding a flux-controlled memristor with linear memductance into the proposed four-wing Chen system. The memristor mathematical structure model is simple and easy to implement. Dynamical analysis and numerical simulation of the memristive hyperchaotic system are carried out. Then, the electronic circuit of the hyperchaotic system is designed and implemented. The results of numerical simulation are in good agreement with the electronic circuit experiment. In addition, shape synchronization control for the 4D four-wing memristive hyperchaotic system is realized, and a communication system is designed by using the shape synchronization method. Finally, secure signal masking application is implemented on Matlab platform. In the developed secure communication scheme, the information signal overlaps with the chaotic masking signal, which improves the security of the system.

In this paper, a chaotic synchronization scheme is proposed to achieve adaptive synchronization between a novel hyperchaotic system and the hyperchaotic Chen system with fully unknown parameters. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, an adaptive controller and parameter updating law are presented to synchronize the above two hyperchaotic systems. The corresponding theoretical proof is given and numerical simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Finite-time synchronization of chaotic systems with different dimension and secure communication is investigated. It is rigorously proven that global finite-time synchronization can be achieved between three-dimension Lorenz chaotic system and four-dimension Lorenz hyperchaotic system which have certain parameters or uncertain parameters. The electronic circuits of finite-time synchronization using Multisim 12 are designed to verify our conclusion. And the application to the secure communications is also analyzed and discussed.

In this paper, a new five-dimensional hyperchaotic system by introducing two additional states feedback into a three-dimensional smooth chaotic system. With three nonlinearities, this system has more than one positive Lyapunov exponents. Based on the fractional derivative theory, the fractional-order form of this new hyperchaotic system has been investigated. Through predictor-corrector algorithm, the system is proved by numerical simulation analysis. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the performance of the fractional-order hyperchaotic attractors well.
