Aim. This study evaluated whether specific actual performance could accurately predict body function levels and upper limb use in the real-life functioning of poststroke hemiparesis patients to aid in choosing the most appropriate rehabilitation exercises. Methods. We measured the time taken for poststroke patients to move small objects with the paralyzed hand and investigated how the measurement could estimate upper extremity motor impairment and hand usage during activities of daily living (ADL). We examined 86 stroke patients (age 66 ± 16 years) whose upper extremity motor paralysis was measured using the Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) and Southampton Hand Assessment Procedure (SHAP), and patient-reported ADL was investigated using the Jikei Assessment Scale for Motor Impairment in Daily Living (JASMID). To identify the time required to perform each SHAP item, we employed a linear regression analysis. The prediction formula was used in the linear regression analysis, and the coefficient of determination (R2) was applied to compare each component item score that was obtained with the predicted values derived from the linear regression analysis. Results. The most easily accomplished task was Heavy Power in the SHAP. The R2 between the SHAP Heavy Power item score and the FMA scores was moderate (R2 = 0.344, P<0.0001), whereas the R2 with the JASMID score was low (R2 = 0.126, P<0.001). Conclusions. By measuring the time it takes for poststroke hemiparesis patients to hold and move an object, we developed a prediction formula for upper extremity motor function and hand dexterity.

Abstract Background In the ward of trauma center, It’s not unusual that the patients have sleep disorder, especially in the acute injury patients. Meanwhile, there is substantial evidence that sleep disorder is a predictor of depression and the important features of posttraumatic stess disorder. Methods From April 2018 to July 2019, all orthopaedic trauma patients were included in the retrospective study. Patients with mental impairment and craniocerebral injury were excluded from the study. Basic demographic data were collected. Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality, Visual Analog Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate physical pain, Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep quality, Barthel Index (BI) was used to evaluate activities of daily living(ADL) and Injury Severity Score (ISS) classification in medical records were collected. Univariate linear regression analysis and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to identify independently related factors. Results The average PSQI score was 6.3 (±4.0). Five hundred eighty-one (51.4%) patients had a PSQI score more than 5, indicating the presence of sleep disorder. The PSQI score was more than 10 in one hundred seventy-four (15.4%) patients. Univariate statistical analysis showed that age, gender, education, ADL (activities of daily living), and ISS classification were associated with increased PSQI scores. Marital status and pain were not associated with increased PSQI scores. When we used multivariate analysis to control for confounding variables, the gender, ADL, and ISS classification remained independently associated with PSQI (P =0.002, <0.000, and 0.002, respectively). Conclusions In our study, the sleep disorder is both common (51.4% PSQI >5) and serious (15.4% PSQI >10) in patients who suffered from traumatic orthopaedic injury. The following factors are closed associated with sleep disorder: gender, ADL and ISS classification. Besides, age and education level have independently impact on sleep quality. Unexpectedly, we find the VAS of pain was not independently associated with seriousness of sleep quality. This is inconsistent with the results reported in some literature.

Future warfare may include the use of chemical weapons. Soldiers will be required to wear protective masks which impose restrictions in the field of view of optical devices. Two studies were conducted to examine the use of M19 binoculars when soldiers must wear protective masks. Targets were displayed over an area 21 degrees high by 60 degrees wide. The time required to scan the area was recorded and a relationship was developed between scan time and field of view by means of a simple linear regression analysis. The studies show that the use of protective masks will have a significant impact on the soldier's ability to find targets.

This study aims to determine the effect of Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) to Return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Stock Fund period 2014-2017. The study used secondary data obtained through documentation in the form of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia Monthly Net Asset (NAB) report. Data analysis is used with quantitative analysis, multiple linear regression analysis using eviews 9. Population and sample in this research are PT Nikko Securities Indonesia. The result of multiple linear regression analysis was the coefficient of determination (R2) showed the result of 0.123819 or 12%. This means that the Inflation, Exchange Rate and Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) variables can influence the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund of 12% and 88% is influenced by other variables. Based on the result of the research, the variables of inflation and exchange rate have a negative and significant effect toward the return of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia's equity fund. While the variable of Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) has a negative but not significant effect toward Return of Equity Fund of PT Nikko Securities Indonesia

Some students perceive lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) positively, even though LGBT is a sexual deviation that is not appropriate with values and norms. There are several factors that influence an individual's perception of LGBT, including sexual identity. This study aims at looking at the contribution of sexual identity to student perceptions about LGBT. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and a simple linear regression analysis. The sample of this research was 385 taken from 15.752 undergraduate students of Universitas Negeri Padang which the sample was drawn by using the Slovin formula and continued with a Proportional Random Sampling technique. The instrument used was the Guttman model's sexual identity scale and the scale of students' perceptions of the LGBT Likert model. After analyzing the data with the descriptive technique and the simple linear regression analysis, the results showed that sexual identity significantly contributed to the students' perceptions of LGBT. This research has implications as a basis for counselors to help students avoid sexual identity mismatches and prevent the emergence of positive perceptions of LGBT.

This research to analyze and evaluate intellectual capital on financial performance obtained by return on equity, asset turnover and growth in revenue. The population in this study are consumer goods companies listed on the Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The research sample was received by 21 companies obtained by using purposive sampling technique. The analytical method used is simple linear regression analysis with the SPSS version 20 application and uses the VAICTM method to measure intellectual capital. The results of this study indicate that intellectual capital has a significant effect on financial performance generated by return on equity, but intellectual capital does not have a significant effect on financial performance required by asset turnover and growth in revenue.

Abstract Temporal changes in surface soil temperature were studied in winter crop. Significant changes in bare and cropped soil temperature were revealed. Air temperature showed a statistically positive and strong relationship (R2 = 0.79** to 0.92**) with the soil temperature both at morning and afternoon hours. Linear regression analysis indicated that each unit increase in ambient temperature would lead to increase in minimum and maximum soil temperatures by 1.04 and 1.02 degree, respectively. Statistically positive correlation was revealed among biophysical variables with the cumulative surface soil temperature. Linear and non-linear regression analysis indicated 62-69, 72-86 and 72-80% variation in Leaf area index, dry matter production and heat use efficiency in Indian mustard crop as a function of soil degree days. Below 60% variation in yield in Indian mustard was revealed as a function of soil temperature. In contrast, non-significant relationship between oil content and soil temperature was found, which suggests that oil accumulation in oilseed crops was not affected significantly by the soil temperature as an independent variable.
