The issue of drug abuse and the resultant effects has been on the limelight in recent times. Hence, this paper examined from drug abuse to lesbianism: an educational undertone. The paper highlighted the meaning of drugs and what constitutes drug abuse. It identified the ever several dangers associated with drug abuse in tertiary institutions in Nigeria, where lesbianism was spotted as a major fallout of the negative impacts of drugs on female undergraduates. Furthermore, the act of lesbianism was evaluated, where the modus operandi and factors of the lesbians were showcased. In the end, the paper conceived some therapy that could help in the curtailing or eradicating of this menace in our institutions of higher learning. Among the recommendations of the paper were that every management of tertiary institutions must recognize this as a time bomb waiting for explosion and that sex education should be institutionalized as a GST or GNS course for all freshmen in our institutions. This would go a long way in checkmating this time bomb from exploding.

Abstract This study investigated the effect of e-examination on Biology students’ academic performance in Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit. A quasi-experimental research design was adopted to study a sample size of 165 out of 408 first Year Biology (NCE 1) students in 2015/2016 academic session. Two research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. While two research instruments namely: Computer Appreciation Test (CAT) and Biology Performance Test (BIOPET) were used for data collection. Whereas Mean was used in answering the research questions, t-test statistical technique was used to test the hypotheses at .05 level of significance. Major findings revealed that there was significant effect of writing examination electronically on students’ academic performance; and that no statistical difference existed between male and female students’ performance who wrote exam electronically. Subsequent upon these findings, it is recommended amongst others that students of the Institution should be introduced to the electronic mode of writing examinations through series of tutorials and hands-on experience in order to create more familiarization as the electronic mode of exam writing is gradually coming to stay in Nigerian tertiary education system.

The rapid development of 4IR in Malaysia has revolutionized the way of learning. Whole world is promoting electronic learning (e-Learning) as a new method to enhance the learning activities. The campaign continues to hike up when the world was shaken by the COVID19 pandemic, which caused most of the learning centre to close and force classes to be implemented completely online. Hence, this situation introduces the style of studying through mobile phone using the internet known as m-Learning. Although those two styles has been introduced for some time now at Politeknik Malaysia, there is no research conducted to measure the readiness of e-Learning and m-Learning within its context. As such, the aim of this study is to assess the lecturers' readiness in two politeknik namely; Politeknik A and Politeknik B. A total of 140 respondents were collected from using an online survey. A five-point Likert scale that demonstrated degrees of the agreement was applied to capture the lecturers' perceptions on their readiness for these two style learning. The results attained from this particular assessment can be used as some sort of guidelines for further development of e-Learning environment in Politeknik Malaysia.

Based on the results of observations made at SMA N 5 Sungai Penuh known that in the mathematics learning process students do not understand the learning material well, the ability of students to develop material concepts and solve problems in the form of practice questions given by the teacher is still lacking, students are lacking of self-confidence to ask if there is material that has not been understood, students also cannot develop their thinking ideas creatively. This means that the ability to think creatively and critically of students has not developed optimally. The specific purpose of this research is to develop and produce teaching materials in the form of mind mapping-based modules for learning mathematics, which are valid, practical and effective and can increase students' motivation, activities and learning outcomes, especially in the material opportunities. This development research consists of four stages, namely; the define stage, the design stage, the develop stage and the disseminate stage. The validation results with the valid category indicated by an average value of 76%. The practicality results with the practical category are shown by an average value of 75.3%. Effectiveness results with the effective category in terms of the aspects of activity, student motivation, and from the aspect of achievement of learning outcomes.

The model and parenting patterns of the previous generation (the baby boomers’ generation) are significantly different from the next generation. Of course, this also causes differences in the results and impacts obtained. However, the issues related to parenting tend to remain the same. One parenting that is often used is authoritarian parenting, in which parent’s tom much impose his will on the child as desired. This makes children become depressed so that the proximity of the child with parents rift or loose. The development of learning materials from handout by Problem Based Learning (PBL) assisted comics to straight motion of creative thinking skills with valid, practical, and effective has been done. The research and development method is implemented in this work. The 4-D development model was used consist of define, design, development, and disseminate. In the define phase, it was done curriculum, student, and material analysis. In the design phase, it was done by designing learning materials the from handout assisted comics by PBL comprise  learning instructional such as lesson plan (RPP), handout, and assessment. In the development phase, test of validity, practicality, and the effectivity of handout were done. Then in the disseminate phase, test of practicalities and effectiveness were done. The result of the study in the define phase about students was obtained that level of creative thinking skills of students of class X IPA 2 are in the low category. The analysis of material was obtained straight motion. In the design phase, it was obtained initial draft of handout by PBL assisted comics that consist of RPP, handout, and assessment. In the development phase, it was obtained handout by PBL assisted comics which has valid criteria (0,86), practically criteria (94%), and effective for cognitive creative thinking skills aspect (76%), effective in improving creative thinking skills (79%) are in the category of very creative, the category character becomes a habit (86%), and skill was (87%). In the disseminate phase, it was obtained   effective for cognitive creative thinking skills aspect (76,9%), effective in improving creative thinking skills (78,4%) are in the category of very creative, the category character becomes a habit (84%), and skill was (81,9%).

Their lack of knowledge about the concept and detrimental effect of gay behavior is also the main concern. Hence, a preventive approach should be taken to hinder teenagers, especially male students, from the negative outcome of gay behavior through guidance and counselling program. The paper followed the procedure in descriptive research design. The research population was all public high school students in Padang and there were 100 respondents which was chosen through purposive sampling. Based on the research findings, 15 students (15%) responded in the highest scale, extremely concerned. 23 students (23) were moderately concerned. 58 students (58%) seemed in uncertainty. 4 students (4%) were at loss or slightly concerned facing this crisis. The design used was a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. The data were collected from 33 students as the sample of this study taken by using a purposive sampling technique. The experimental group was divided into 3 groups, namely group A, group B and group C. Each group consisted of 11 members. The data were collected by using a questionnaire students’ BMB3 conditions about bullying (55 valid items = 0.889). Data were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon signed rank test with the help of SPSS version 20.00 to measure the differences between two paired groups on ordinal data. The findings of the study showed that intelligent character education-group format was effective for improving the conditions about thinking, feeling, behaving, acting, and being responsible for the students against bullying so it can prevent bullying behavior.
