With the development of network technology, many online educational resource platforms have emerged, and the number of resources on these platforms is increasing dramatically. Compared with the traditional resources, the interactive educational resources (IERs) have hidden interactive information and dynamic content. Only when the users perform interactive operations correctly can they acquire the knowledge conveyed by the resources, which makes it a challenge to help the users understand the general content of resources and find the resources that they are interested in. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a method for generating picture previews of IERs. Firstly, we analyze the file that stores interactive resource information, obtain the interactive elements’ information, extract the dependencies, and generate an operation sequence. Secondly, we execute the operation sequence using an automated software tool to mimic the interaction process between the user and the resource and save the screenshots in the process to generate a picture preview of an IER. We apply this method to a dynamic geometry platform, NetPad, and conduct experiments. Experimental results demonstrate that the method can effectively extract interactive semantic information and simulate the interactive process, and the generated picture previews are of great help to the users to understand the content of IERs.

This note from the field reviews the sustainability of an institution-wide program for adopting and adapting open and alternative educational resources (OAER) at Kansas State University (K-State). Developed in consult of open textbook initiatives at other institutions and modified around the needs and expectations of K-State students and faculty, this initiative proposes a sustainable means of incentivizing faculty participation via institutional support, encouraging the creation and maintenance of OAER through recurring funding, promoting innovative realizations of “educational resources” beyond traditional textbooks, and rallying faculty participation in adopting increasingly open textbook alternatives. The history and resulting structure of the initiative raise certain recommendations for how public universities may sustainably offset student textbook costs while also empowering the pedagogies of educators via a more methodical approach to adopting open materials.

For those receiving funding from the UK HEFCE-funded Open Educational Resource Programme (2009–2012), the sustainability of project outputs was one of a number of essential goals. Our approach for the hosting and distribution of health and life science open educational resources (OER) was based on the utilisation of the WordPress.org blogging platform and search engine optimisation (SEO) techniques to curate content and widen discovery. This paper outlines the approaches taken and tools used at the time, and reflects upon the effectiveness of web strategies several years post-funding. The paper concludes that using WordPress.org as a platform for sharing and curating OER, and the adoption of a pragmatic approach to SEO, offers cheap and simple ways for small-scale open education projects to be effective and sustainable.

The article presents the author's digital educational resource — an interactive educational and methodological complex "Initial information about the structure of substance". The resource was developed in support of the school physics course of the 7th grade and is dedicated to the section "Initial information about the structure of substance". This is a didactic manual that can be used both in the classroom-lesson system of teaching, and in the independent study of physics — in the form of distance or home learning. The article describes the structure and content of a digital educational resource, as well as its features. The idea of its creation and the prospects of its use are considered. The interactive educational and methodological complex "Initial information about the structure of substance" was presented at the Republican competition "Mosaic of digital educational resources — 2021" and was awarded a 1st degree diploma.

With the coming of the era of cloud computing, applications of cloud computing must have a profound impact on the field of education and promote the development of education and teaching. How to apply cloud computing in education is becoming a hot research. Under this context, the services provided with cloud computing and the establishment of Digital Education Resource Cloud Sharing Mode can break through the bottleneck of digital education resource sharing in universities, and improve the efficiency of digital educational resource sharing, which is conducive to promote educational equity and help to reduce sharing cost in order to realize the effect optimization of digital education resource sharing. This paper analyzes the construction of digital education resource in Hebei universities and designs the cloud-based sharing model.

A computer search, using descriptors from the thesauri of the Educational Resource Information Center (ERIC) and from the Psychological Abstracts, yielded a total of 159 published references on various cognitive styles. This endeavor spanned a 4-yr. period from 1978 to 1982. An organizational structure was imposed on this listing to facilitate meaningful retrieval. References were alphabetically and chronologically grouped under relevant subject headings.

To manage the educational resources of the grid community based on the standard of learning object metadata, the resource classification standard of the learning object metadata standard is taken as the basis of the grid community division. According to the principle of the classification of educational resources, and based on the characteristics of the grid management system and the features of the grid community, the construction and internal structure of grid community are discussed, and the idea of constructing peer community group is proposed. In accordance with the idea of peer community, similar educational resources achieve a logical connection between peer communities. The results show that the mechanism of information sharing and information diffusion is established among communities, and the framework of educational resource management is constructed through simulation and evaluation.

Improving the effectiveness of education in the teaching of computer graphics is the organization of the educational process using new information and communication technologies, as well as quality control of the learning modules. With this in mind, the article provides a theoretical analysis of the methodology of compiling test questions from computer graphics and some related graphic disciplines. The relationship of factor theory to the graphical sciences has been identified. As a result, the three-level test task system structure based on specific formulas and their factors has been studied so far. Also, the system of assessment of students in four categories was tested using a general automated software tool for questionnaires and test control. Based on the results, mathematical statistical analysis was performed, and the range of variation of the four categories was shown.
