Present paper have like objective the experimental study regarding the intensification of the drying process of malt using like drying agent the atmospheric air at ambient temperature and at 45oC, in flotation-fluidized bed. To reduce the operating drying period by using the fluidization agent at 45oC, it was studied the drying in mixt bed, formed by inert particles (sand, dp=150mm, smashed malt, ) and wet malt grains (in flotation state). Comparing the drying periods and the final moistures obtained at the malt drying in fixed bed (fixed mixt bed) with those obtained in fluidized mixt bed was establish that: the drying in fluidized conditions conduce at an uniform final moisture product; the economical operating conditions for a final moisture (4 - 6%) imposed by the technological process.

The aim of this study is to use the dry fibers of date palm as low-cost biosorbent for the removal of Cd(II), and Ni(II) ions from aqueous solution by fluidized bed column. The effects of many operating conditions such as superficial velocity, static bed height, and initial concentration on the removal efficiency of metal ions were investigated. FTIR analyses clarified that hydroxyl, amine and carboxyl groups could be very effective for bio-sorption of these heavy metal ions. SEM images showed that dry fibers of date palm have a high porosity and that metal ions can be trapped and sorbed into pores. The results show that a bed height of 6 cm, velocity of 1.1Umf and initial concentration for each heavy metal ions of 50 mg/L are most feasible and give high removal efficiency. The fluidized bed reactor was modeled using ideal plug flow and this model was solved numerically by utilizing the MATLAB software for fitting the measured breakthrough results. The breakthrough curves for metal ions gave the order of bio-sorption capacity as follow: Cd(II)]Ni(II).

Crystal growth rates of copper sulphate pentahydrate (CuSO4.5 H2O) determined by different authors and methods are compared. The methods included in this comparison are: (i) Measurement on a fixed crystal suspended in a streaming solution, (ii) measurement on a rotating disc, (iii) measurement in a fluidized bed, (iv) measurement in an agitated suspension. The comparison involves critical estimation of the supersaturation used in measurements, of shape factors used for data treatment and a correction for the effect of temperature. Conclusions are drawn for the choice of values to be specified when data of crystal growth rate measurements are published.

The wheat precision seeding technology provided an advanced agricultural protection for the high yield of wheat. But the lack of an effective agricultural machine made this technology difficult to apply widely. In this paper a quadruped wheel robot to achieve the wheat precision seeding technology was designed. And experimental study was taken under different operating conditions. Because of multiple effort factors, a quadratic orthogonal rotation combination design method was applied in the experiments, and identifying the main factors by analysis. Then the field test was carried out according to the main factors. The experiment results showed that the qualified rates of seeding exceed 93% in different sowing speed. That reached the agronomic requirements of wheat precision seeding.
