Accurate and reliable quality index prediction is indispensable in quality control of the industrial propylene polymerization (PP) processes. This paper presents a novel modeling approach for quality index prediction based on optimal fuzzy wavelet neural network (FWNN) with improved gravitational search algorithm (IGSA), where the constant or a linear function of inputs in conclusion part of traditional TSK fuzzy model is replaced with wavelet neural network (WNN). Then, an online learning algorithm of the FWNN model is derived by using gradient descent algorithm, and an IGSA algorithm is proposed to online adapt the learning rates of FWNN. Research on the proposed soft sensor is carried out with the data from a real industrial PP plant, and the results are compared among the WNN, FWNN and IGSA-FWNN models. The research results show that the proposed prediction model achieves a good performance in practical industrial quality index, melt index, prediction process.

Background:: Predictive analytics has a multiplicity of statistical schemes from predictive modelling, data mining, machine learning. It scrutinizes present and chronological data to make predictions about expectations or if not unexplained measures. Most predictive models are used for business analytics to overcome loses and profit gaining. Predictive analytics is used to exploit the pattern in old and historical data. Objective: People used to follow some strategies for predicting stock value to invest in the more profit-gaining stocks and those strategies to search the stock market prices which are incorporated in some intelligent methods and tools. Such strategies will increase the investor’s profits and also minimize their risks. So prediction plays a vital role in stock market gaining and is also a very intricate and challenging process. Method: The proposed optimized strategies are the Deep Neural Network with Stochastic Gradient for stock prediction. The Neural Network is trained using Back-propagation neural networks algorithm and stochastic gradient descent algorithm as optimal strategies. Results: The experiment is conducted for stock market price prediction using python language with the visual package. In this experiment RELIANCE.NS, TATAMOTORS.NS, and TATAGLOBAL.NS dataset are taken as input dataset and it is downloaded from National Stock Exchange site. The artificial neural network component including Deep Learning model is most effective for more than 100,000 data points to train this model. This proposed model is developed on daily prices of stock market price to understand how to build model with better performance than existing national exchange method.

Texture can be considered as a repeating pattern of local variation of pixel intensities. Cosine Transform (DCT) coefficients of texture images. As DCT works on gray level images, the color scheme of each image is transformed into gray levels. For classifying the images using DCT, two popular soft computing techniques namely neurocomputing and neuro-fuzzy computing are used. A feedforward neural network is used to train the backpropagation learning algorithm and an evolving fuzzy neural network to classify the textures. The soft computing models were trained using 80% of the texture data and the remaining was used for testing and validation purposes. A performance comparison was made among the soft computing models for the texture classification problem. In texture classification the goal is to assign an unknown sample image to a set of known texture classes. It is observed that the proposed neuro-fuzzy model performed better than the neural network.

AbstractConvolutional neural network (CNN) is recognized as state of the art of deep learning algorithm, which has a good ability on the image classification and recognition. The problems of CNN are as follows: the precision, accuracy and efficiency of CNN are expected to be improved to satisfy the requirements of high performance. The main work is as follows: Firstly, wavelet convolutional neural network (wCNN) is proposed, where wavelet transform function is added to the convolutional layers of CNN. Secondly, wavelet convolutional wavelet neural network (wCwNN) is proposed, where fully connected neural network (FCNN) of wCNN and CNN are replaced by wavelet neural network (wNN). Thirdly, image classification experiments using CNN, wCNN and wCwNN algorithms, and comparison analysis are implemented with MNIST dataset. The effect of the improved methods are as follows: (1) Both precision and accuracy are improved. (2) The mean square error and the rate of error are reduced. (3) The complexitie of the improved algorithms is increased.

For the inverse calculation of laser-guided demolition robot, its global nonlinear mapping model from laser measuring point to joint cylinder stroke has been set up with an artificial neural network. Due to the contradiction between population diversity and convergence rate in the optimization of complex neural networks by using differential evolution, a gravitational search algorithm and differential evolution is proposed to accelerate the convergence rate of differential evolution population driven by gravity. Gravitational search algorithm and differential evolution is applied to optimize the inverse calculation neural network mapping model of demolition robot, and the algorithm simulation shows that gravity can effectively regulate the convergence process of differential evolution population. Compared with the standard differential evolution, the convergence speed and accuracy of gravitational search algorithm and differential evolution are significantly improved, which has better optimization stability. The calculation results show that the output accuracy of this gravitational and differential evolution neural network can meet the calculation requirements of the positioning control of demolition robot’s manipulator. The optimization using gravitational search algorithm and differential evolution is done with the connection weights of a neural network in this article, and as similar techniques can be applied to the other hyperparameter optimization problem. Moreover, such an inverse calculation method can provide a reference for the autonomous positioning of large hydraulic series manipulator, so as to improve the robotization level of construction machinery.
