The issue of attendance policies has been studied by higher education professionals for nearly a century. Prior research has shown a strong statistical link between class attendance and student grades. The aim of our research project is to gauge the attitudes and policies of business school professors in an AACSB accredited school on this topic. An online survey was conducted during the early Fall 2018 semester. Results suggest the vast majority of respondents institute an attendance policy in their classes. Respondents taught courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and are a diverse set of faculty as indicated by academic rank, age, gender and level of education.

Understanding student perceptions of group work should help educators prepare students to be effective group members in the classroom and at work. This study ascer tained student perceptions of their learning and achievement in group situations. The following correlations were determined: (a) There was a relationship between student grades and perceptions of the writing quality as well as perceptions of the amount learned about group processes; (b) there was no correlation between grades and student opinions of the quantity of work achieved, the type of person who hindered the group the most, and whether the student enjoyed the group work.

Since the implementation of the European Higher Education Area, universities have been obliged to implement continuous assessment systems that require a high degree of attendance by students. Using recorded data, from year 1 to year 5, of 694 students of a European university, where attendance is mandatory, the main objective of this research is to analyse to what extent absenteeism affects performance across the years of degree study. The investigation found a decreasing effect.  In addition, a cluster analysis was done to find out if the compulsory attendance policy impacts all students equally. Three different behavioural styles were found: those who attend regularly, students who manage their number of absences to comply with attendance rules, who are the real targets the policy, and a third group with a high number of absences not affected by the policy. These findings identify the groups of students who benefit most from adequate attendance.

The purpose of this study was to design an application to provide information to parents of SDK III BPK Penabur students regarding the exam schedule, and student grades via SMS. The design method used is the System Development Lifecycle method. The application design is done using the Visual Basic 6.0 programming language for designing application programs and interfaces and MySQL for designing the database. This application consists of several modules, namely the module processing data, processing values, processing SMS, and reports. The module is integrated to form a Computerized Value application and Value Access via SMS. In testing the application of Computerized Values ​​and Value Accessing Through SMS, white box testing and Black Box Testing methods are used. Tests are carried out at the module, program and system level. In addition, user testing is also done. The advantages of the application of Computerized Values ​​and Value of Access Through SMS help parents to obtain information about student learning outcomes, helping teachers to process student grades

Current technological developments greatly impact the assessment verification system. To find out the student benchmarks in the results of teaching and learning activities during the learning system assessment process is very important in the scope of higher education. With the existence of blockchain technology widely applied in the world of Education, having the advantage of a decentralized system and strong cryptography can help universities in building infrastructure. Universitas Raharja is one of the educational institutions that has implemented an online assessment system (PEN +), which will use blockchain technology to verify the assessment of independent studies. which provides services to Raharja University lecturers in verifying student grades that can be accessed anywhere and at any time. However, currently the verification process for the independent study assessment that has been carried out is still done manually which results in verification not with very strong security. The existence of an independent study assessment verification uses blockchain technology to produce strong data security that did not occur before. In the PEN + lecturer assessment system for the independent study assessment verification process, it cannot yet enter the value of Independent study (IS) in real time. Therefore, there is a need for development in this blockchain technology for the verification process of independent study assessment. In this study there were 10 (ten) literary studies on verification of valuation. Thus there are several benefits that lecturers need not hesitate to verify the assessment, the process by using blockchain technology produces very strong security.

Management of academic activities at Mahendradata University is still using manually ways, which means that it has not used an integrated information system yet, for the example the process of registering new students, arranging lecture schedules, filling in student KRS, managing lecture attendance, and managing student grades. Nowadays cultural changes have been marked by the increasingly rapid use of the internet. The internet as an information resources for its existence has now become a necessity. The benefits of the internet are quite large, especially in the world of business, entertainment and education. This system is designed to assist academic processes at the University of Mahendradata. The academic processes that have been analyzed and applied in this developed system are the process of preparing schedules, plotting teaching lecturers, printing KRS, printing lecture attendance, presenting inputs, filling in grades, and printing KHS. And the University can immediately develop a new system in order to work optimally. System design that has been used in developing this system uses the SDLC method, the waterfall method. The implementation of the system uses the PHP programming language Codegniter and MySQL database. The results of this study are in the form of an academic system design at the University of Mahendradata. This developed system is aim to assist the academic processes at the University of Mahendradata

Since 1940, when the AAUP formally defined academic freedom (AAUP, 1984), most faculty members believe they have the final authority in assigning course grades to their students.  Faculty members may be surprised that several recent court decisions have concluded that college and university administrators have the right to change grades initially assigned by faculty.  This manuscript examines faculty members’ rights to assign student grades within the context of academic freedom.  Several important recent court decisions on student grading and grade changes are summarized and discussed.  Based on these decisions, recommendations are made for both faculty and college and university administrators regarding the assignment of student grades and the student grade appeals process.

Background: This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the learning model of the horay course review to improve student learning outcomes of teaching material on the classification system of living things in class X of SMA Negeri 14 Ambon. Method: Samples from this study were students of class X1 with 23 students. This type of research is descriptive research to see student learning outcomes which consists of 3 factors, namely physical, cognitive and psychomotor. The instruments used in this study were test instruments in the form of initial tests and final tests. Results: The results of this study show that there is a significant effect by using the learning review horay learning model on improving student learning outcomes during the implementation of the learning model of the course review horay. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of the Course Review Horay learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class X1 students at SMA Negeri 14 Ambon. This can be seen from the results of the final test which is very satisfying from the results of the initial test. Presentation of student grades during the initial test is 13% and the final test score reaches 100%.
