Current education requires the integration of digital technology. It is necessary to analyze the impact of the use of this technology on the educational process, and how they can be adequately integrated. This study, carried out over seven academic years in a Spanish University, gathers the perceptions of 91 education students who were training to become schoolteachers: based on their own previous experience as students, and after having participated in a technological-methodological project. By applying qualitative methodology, we conclude that the effective integration of technology in the teaching process requires continual feedback between technology, curricular content, and pedagogy. To achieve this, university-trained schoolteachers need to offer their students a sequenced technological-methodological empowerment process. It is necessary to implement a technological and methodological modification of the teaching-learning process in the first years of university training, with the aim of achieving long-term repercussions on all educational levels.

The place of medical legislation in the university curriculum remains somehow uncertain and should be identified more clearly. A more robust knowledge base on the law is needed to enable medical students to develop sufficient legal competence to manage the challenges of future practice. Further research is needed to identify the most effective methods of teaching, learning and assessing legal knowledge and skills, during and after the completion of initial medical education. An in-depth analysis of resources shows that there is no robust evidence base that evaluates the impact in different curricular structures of the efficient methods in developing the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors needed in medical practice of student. Moreover, only a limited number of studies refer to the results and effectiveness of teaching and learning the elements of medical legislation.

This paper studied the impact of Palestinian teacher’s acceptance of using technology on their teaching practices in light of the corona pandemic, twelves teachers are from different education directories in West- Bank. Qualitative methodology was employed in-depth semi- structured interviews to explain how their acceptance of using technology according to a model of technology acceptance (TAM); impact their teaching practices in light of the corona pandemic. Findings shows that Teacher’s perception that employing technology is useful in education. These perceptions of usefulness of using technology have been reflected in their practices in all aspect of the educational process: content, communication with students, teaching strategies, assessment methods, and the variety of applications they used. Also employing technology in education is easy, if the teacher possesses the technological skills. They worked to develop themselves in the field of technology and computer applications through self-learning and enrollment in the online workshops and courses, then applying what they had learned during in their practice, continuing to develop themselves, and employing technology after the pandemic. Finally, teacher’s acceptance of employing technology in education has been affected by physical and human factors. It is recommended that establishing an integrated plan by the Ministry of Education to include human and physical resources in order to achieve readiness for education in emergencies‎.

Considering the current international context, where everybody is affected by the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic and its economic, social and psychological implications, communication has been subjected to complex changes at all levels, that go far beyond what we have managed to understand so far. Nowadays, in these troubled times, obstacles in communication are the norm rather than the exception, often resulting in alienation, anxiety, depression and a deep sense of loss. Loss of what our lives used to be… Loss of the self… This is why, once the impact of this new reality has more or less settled in, we need to work towards harmonizing communication in this new world we are living in. As linguists, we are witnessing an on-going shift in pragmatics and discourse analysis, as we should acknowledge the emergence of complex verbal and non-verbal dimensions to personal and professional communication, where fear of contagion is constantly lurking in the conscious or subconscious background. Special focus should be laid on schools and the entire educational process, with electronic platforms and online teaching/learning causing additional stress to all parties involved (teachers, students, and families of both categories). We have already discovered that the lack of proper human interaction, or the diminished state we are experiencing it in, is literally impossible to replace or fully make up for. Now, we must understand that harmonizing communication must be a top priority, particularly if we need people to stay fully-functional and keep education, society and economy running.

This quantitative research aims to analyze the impact of the WampServer application in Blended learning during the educational process of computing through data science, machine learning, and neural networks. WampServer is a free application that allows the creation of websites considering the use of the database. This research proposes the use of Blended learning in the Development of applications subject in order to facilitate the teaching–learning process in the Database unit. The students discuss and reflect the concepts on the database in the classroom and carry out various school activities on the construction of websites at home through the use of the WampServer application. The sample consists of 28 students who took the Development of applications subject during the 2016 school year. The results of machine learning (linear regression) with 50, 60, and 70% of training indicate that the use of PHP, HTML, and SQL languages in the WampServer application positively influences the assimilation of knowledge and development of skills on web programming. Data science identifies six predictive models about the use of WampServer in the educational process of computing. On the other hand, neural networks determine the factors that influence the assimilation of knowledge and development of skills on web programming. This research recommends the incorporation of the WampServer application in the school activities related to the computer field to create new educational spaces and facilitate the teaching–learning process. Teachers can transform the educational context through the organization and realization of creative activities inside and outside the classroom. Finally, the use of WampServer in Blended learning allows creating new spaces for teaching and learning of computer science because this application favors the assimilation of knowledge and development of skills on web programming.

During the last thirty years the rapid development of technology has left many educators struggling to come to terms with the changes the integration of technology brings to the teaching-learning environment. Governments and education administrators around the world are currently diverting limited resources into the provision of infrastructure and computers in the belief that the use of technology as a means of education delivery has the potential to significantly enhance teaching strategies and resources currently available to schools. For schools and teachers, the push for the implementation of technology from the administrative levels has meant changes to the learning environment, the necessity to acquire new skills and issues of accountability. Thus the impact of technology in education and on learning has been the subject of much debate and an increasing body of research has endeavoured to assess the impact of various technologies on student learning, with mixed results. The purpose of this article is to briefly review the research on the impact of technology in education, determine some of the recurrent issues identified by the research and to examine the role of the teacher librarian as a possible facilitator for change and the effective integration of technology in the curriculum.

This study aims to examine the impact of School-Based Management (SBM) on Arab Palestinian schools in East Jerusalem. SBM, which has become a major and irreversible trend in educational reform in Western countries, has been introduced into a number of Asian and African nations over the last few decades. Consequently, a higher level of autonomy and decentralization constitutes the “default” approach to the management of schools within centrally-determined policies, goals, standards, curriculum, and accountability. However, the literature on SBM does not address the repercussions of implementing SBM in conflict zones such as Palestine in the context of larger political questions about power and ideological control. Using a qualitative methodology, field observations, and in-depth interviews with a sample of various stakeholders in Arab-Palestinian schools in East Jerusalem, including school principals and faculty members, this study investigates the impact of SBM on the educational system in these schools, their philosophy, policies, objectives, and the implementation of the curriculum, and the consequences of this on designing a “programmed” educational system educational outputs and learning outcomes. Findings show that these school reforms are driven not by a commitment to decentralization but by political and or ideological considerations (Israelifications and the assimilation of Palestinians within Israeli educational and philosophical frameworks). The study recommends that leaders in the field of education and education and local authorities in the Palestinian Arab community take appropriate measures to correct the current trajectories of the educational process in East Jerusalem schools.
