Digital technologies increase the impact on society, economy and education every day. Schools gradually penetrate the technologies of virtuality and complemented reality; teachers must be prepared not only for their understanding, but also for their use. Currently, mixed learning becomes more popular in educational institutions, but not all teachers understand the essence of this concept. A generalized analysis of domestic scholars has shown that the notion of "mixed learning" relates to such concepts as "learning process", "learning system", "educational technology", "educational methodology", "combination of methods", "modernization tool", etc. On the basis of the analysis of literature on the concept of "mixed learning" in foreign and domestic researchers, the author presents her own definition, discloses the main components of mixed learning and its benefits in organizing educational activities in institutions of general secondary education; a scheme of combining traditional and e-learning in a mixed one is prepared. Digital technologies have a significant impact on the nature, the form of training, the kind of activity of students, allow the implementation of fundamentally new forms and methods of learning, and, as a consequence, increase the efficiency of educational process in a digital society. Before higher education there is the task of training specialists who can use a computer for the organization of interactive training and testing, video conferencing, participation in telecommunication projects, webinars, forums, etc. It is noted that modern teacher has to develop independently educational content in text, video, multimedia and hypermedia format, to use digital and educational resources, to set up educational content management systems and to organize training with the use of the Internet and its services.

Considering the current international context, where everybody is affected by the Sars-CoV-2 pandemic and its economic, social and psychological implications, communication has been subjected to complex changes at all levels, that go far beyond what we have managed to understand so far. Nowadays, in these troubled times, obstacles in communication are the norm rather than the exception, often resulting in alienation, anxiety, depression and a deep sense of loss. Loss of what our lives used to be… Loss of the self… This is why, once the impact of this new reality has more or less settled in, we need to work towards harmonizing communication in this new world we are living in. As linguists, we are witnessing an on-going shift in pragmatics and discourse analysis, as we should acknowledge the emergence of complex verbal and non-verbal dimensions to personal and professional communication, where fear of contagion is constantly lurking in the conscious or subconscious background. Special focus should be laid on schools and the entire educational process, with electronic platforms and online teaching/learning causing additional stress to all parties involved (teachers, students, and families of both categories). We have already discovered that the lack of proper human interaction, or the diminished state we are experiencing it in, is literally impossible to replace or fully make up for. Now, we must understand that harmonizing communication must be a top priority, particularly if we need people to stay fully-functional and keep education, society and economy running.

Educational, vocational, and social inclusion is one of the fundamental principles that ensure people with disabilities a chance to have as a normal life as possible. In turn, accessibility is one of the most important components of inclusion and could be defined as the right of people with disabilities to benefit of the same products and services as all other community members. According to government data from 2015, in Romania 752 931 were people with disabilities, 60 289 were children and 13.9% had various forms of visual impairment. For these people, any limitation in accessibility means isolation and discrimination. On the other hand, education and new technologies can increase the accessibility of people with visual impairment to quality products and services in society. Therefore, the purpose of this research was the identification of attitude and training level of teachers in the educational process accessibility for students with visual impairment using ICT. The sample consisted of 210 professors who teach in pre-academic learning system in Bihor, Romania and research tool - a questionnaire composed of 76 multiple choice items – it was administered online by the end of 2016. The results of the research show that, even if they want to support inclusion of people with visual impairment using ICT in teaching/learning, most teachers do not have professional skills in that field and do not know how to use educational software or to adapt a scholar curriculum for this category of students. The experience of organizing the educational process during the quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic is considered. Using of interactive technologies that allow organizing instant audio communication with a remote audience, as well as intelligent tools based on artificial intelligence that can help educational institutions to work more efficiently. Examples of sufficient use of artificial intelligence in distance learning are given. Particular attention is paid to the development of intelligent chatbots intended for use in communications with students of online courses of educational web portals. The use of technologies of ontology formation based on automatic extraction of concepts from external sources is offered, what can lead to greater acceleration of construction of the intellectual component of chatbots. Artificial intelligence tools can become an essential part of distance learning during this global COVID-19 pandemic. While educational institutions are closed to quarantine and many of them transitioned to distance learning lecturers and schoolteachers, as well as students and schoolchildren faced with the necessity to study in this new reality. The impact of these changes depends on people's ability to learn and on the role that the education system will play in meeting the demand for quality and affordable training. The experience of organizing the educational process at the University of Education Management of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine in the quarantine caused by the COVID-19 pandemic showed that higher and postgraduate institutions were mostly ready to move to distance learning. However, most distance learning systems, on whatever platform they are organized, need to be supplemented: the ability to broadcast video (at least ‒ one-way streaming), providing fast transmission of various types of information, receiving instant feedback when voting, polls and more. The structure of each section of the training course for the online learning system should fully cover the training material and meet all the objectives of the course. Appropriate language should be used, and wording, syntax, and presentation of tasks should be considered. One of the areas of application of artificial intelligence technologies in online learning is the use of chatbots which are characterrized by the following properties. It is advisable to use computer ontologies to ensure the intellectualization of chatbots. In this case, the metadata must be understandable to both humans and software and meet the requirements of modern standards in the field of information technology. The extraction of concepts from external data sources was carried out to build the ontology.
