The study examined a comparative analysis of monetary policy shocks and exchange rate fluctuations based on evidence from the two largest economies in Africa (Nigeria and South Africa) – from 1985 to 2015. Data were derived from various sources which include the National Bureau of Statistics, the Central Banks reports and the World Bank database. Vector Autoregressive (VAR) Analysis was used as the estimation technique. The results indicated that the foreign interest rate in South Africa had higher variations in the short-run. While in the long-run, foreign interest rate has higher percentage variations to exchange rate. In Nigeria the world oil price has the higher influence on exchange rate both in the short-run and longrun periods. Based on these results, the study then recommended that the monetary authorities and policymakers in both countries encourage external currency inflows into the economy.

Despite the fact that HPV infection is widespread among the population around the world, more than 150 strains of HPV viruses are known. At the present stage it is still unclear, why HPV-associated oral papillomas in dental patients either spontaneously undergo involution or become malignant. We investigated the quantitative dynamics of Langerhans cells depending on localization in the structure of such papillomas: in the peripapillary space, in the tissue of the oral mucosa in the presence of HPV infection, without a clinical picture of papillomas and in healthy tissue. It has been established that with long-term existing papillomas, antigen presentation is disturbed, and Langerhans cells can be an indicator of papilloma malignancy.

It is a teaching of current economics that the surplus of current account in international payment contributes to the increase of income. But it has got a negative effect on the long-term growth in the reality, which is easily proved by some instances. First, the Japanese growth rate has been very low despite its current account maintaining a huge surplus. Second, it is another instance that South Korea has suffered from its low growth rate even if its government has enforced the policy to defend its exchange rate from declining while its current account surplus has become large since 1998. Next, the growth rate of China has decreased from the time when its foreign reserve has begun to reduce despite its huge surplus of current account. This paper clarifies the reason why their growths are stagnant despite their huge surpluses in current account. If this paper changes the policies of above countries, it would resolve their economic difficulties and settle the imbalance of the world economy. And this paper would contribute to the evolution of economics.

Indonesia is the fourth longest coastal country in the world, so it has the potential to become a salt exporting country. But appareantly, Indonesia has very high salt imports. This paper seeks to raise the irony bya modeling Indonesian salt imports. Based on various theories and result of previous studies, this paper proposes the price of imported salt, the real exchange rate, the need for salt, and domestic production as an independent variable. The sample used stretches from 2001 to 2018. This paper uses a time series model to analyze data. With the conditional ECM (error correction model), this paper finds that in the short or long term, all selected independent variables have a significant effect on the volume of salt imports, although the exchange rate requires lag to influence the import. This paper suggests increasing the education of salt farmers related to the salt content desired by industry.
