This research explores the forms of politeness strategies in utterances of Otto Hasibuan in Judge Session of Mirna’s case. The research method of this research uses descriptive qualitative method. The subject of the research is Otto Hasibuan’s utterances in Judge Session of Mirna’s case. Furthermore, this research uses the Otto Hasibuan’s utterances containing politeness strategies. In collecting the data, the researcher uses noting and transcribing technique. Then, the data analyzing of this research are categorizing, data classifying, and data analyzing. The researcher watched the Judge Session, wrote down the script, translated the script, identified the Otto’s utterances, classified the script based on the forms of politeness strategies, then analyzed the data. In analyzing the data, it shows that the politeness forms used by Otto Hasibuan have ten typical speech acts: warning, asking (for permission), questioning, requesting, suggesting, agreeing, informing, criticizing, respecting, and thanking, which are categorized into five maxims: tact maxim, agreement maxims, opinion-reticence maxim, approbation maxim, and obligation maxim.

The research problems of this research is what are the types and functions of speech acts that appear in discussion activities on speaking learning of 3rd semester students of Polytechnic ATI Makassar. The methods in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The subject of this research is the 3rd semester Politechnic ATI Makassar students in class discussion activities. The results of the study can be described as follows. There are several types of speech acts found. Based on the action objectives of the speaker's perspective, Locutionary act, Illocution act, and perlocutionary act are found. Locutionary speech acts include news, questions and orders. Illocutionary speech acts include assertive, directive, expressive, commissive and declarative illocution

Clitics is one of the language systems retained in the Western dialect of Manggarai. The clitics in that language is a bound form that phonologically has no stress and its form can not be regarded as a bound morpheme. To analyze it is used clitics theory. The purpose of this study is to describe the type of clitics, the proclitics form, and its manifestation in the passive clause of Western dialect of Manggarai language. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that (1) the type of clitics in the Manggarai language of the Western dialect is classified into a prestigious prestigious proclitics, pronominal genetic encryption, and the pronominal enclosure of the subject; (2) the proximal pronounced pronominal form de= alomorfed with d= and belongs to the prestigious pronominal possessive. The form of de proclitics follows the / h / consonant, whereas d= follows the vowel form; proximal pronominal to the proper noun in the form of di=; the name of pronoun is de =, and the name of office (social status) is de =; and (3) the pronominal and genetic encryption of pronominal subjects can be manifested in the construction of the Western Manggarai dialect's passive clause.---Klitik merupakan salah satu sistem bahasa yang terdapat dalam bahasa Manggarai dialek Barat. Klitik dalam bahasa itu merupakan bentuk terikat yang secara fonologis tidak memiliki tekanan sendiri dan bentuknya tidak dapat dianggap sebagai  morfem terikat. Untuk menganalisinya digunakan teori morfologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan jenis klitik, bentuk proklitik, dan perwujudannya dalam klausa pasif bahasa Manggarai dialek Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) jenis klitik dalam bahasa Manggarai dialek Barat diklasifikasikan menjadi proklitik pronominal posesif, enklitik pronominal genetif, dan enklitik pronominal subjek; (2) bentuk proklitik pronominal posesif de= beralomorf dengan d= dan tergolong sebagai proklitik pronominal posesif. Bentuk proklitik de= mengikuti bentuk berawalan konsonan /h/, sedangkan d= mengikuti bentuk vokal; proklitik pronominal posesif untuk nama diri insan berupa di=; nama diri bukan insan berupa de=, dan nama jabatan (status sosial) berupa de=; dan (3) enklitik pronominal genetif dan enklitik pronominal subjek dapat diwujudkan dalam kontruksi klausa pasif bahasa Manggarai dialek Barat. HUMOR AND TASTE OF KHONG GUAN IN JOKO PINURBO’S POEMJoko Pinurbo is one of productive writer. The most interesting part of all works from Jokpin is the humour or jokes he inserted. What makes it interesting there are several poems that he wrote which published in Kompas newspaper on 31st Agustus 2019. There are twelve poems which consists the word Khong Guan in every title: Perjamuan Khong Guan, Hujan Khong Guan, Tidur Khong Guan, Lebaran Khong Guan, Minuman Khong Guan, Sabda Khong Guan, Agama Khong Guan, Keluarga Khong Guan, Mudik Khong Guan, Doa Khong Guan, Bingkisan Khong Guan, dan Hati Khong Guan. Those twelve poems are the subject to this research. The aim of this research is to define how humor was created.  Recent humors are mostly uneducated humor such as insult joke, bullying, and disrespectful. Joko Pinurbo gives alternative in doing humor, through poem. Humor found in the poem is dominated by tragedy humor. Descriptive qualitative method is used in this research. This research found that there are five poems which can be classified as tragedy

Each religious sect has its own characteristics, whether fundamental, radical, or religious. One of them is Insan Al-Kamil Congregation, which is in Cijati, South Cikareo Village, Wado District, Sumedang Regency. This congregation is Sufism with the concept of self-purification as the subject of its teachings. So, the purpose of this study is to reveal how the origin of Insan Al-Kamil Congregation, the concept of its purification, and the procedures of achieving its purification. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a normative theological approach as the blade of analysis. In addition, the data generated is the result of observation, interviews, and document studies. From the collected data, Jamaah Insan Al-Kamil adheres to the core teachings of Islam and is the tenth regeneration of Islam Teachings, which refers to the Prophet Muhammad SAW. According to this congregation, self-perfection becomes an obligation that must be achieved by human beings in order to remember Allah when life is done. The process of self-purification is done when human beings still live in the world by knowing His God. Therefore, the peak of self-purification is called Insan Kamil.

This research was conducted to analyze how modernization affects the implementation of public service administration policies, especially in Kediri, East Java. As is well known, from time to time various aspects of life are required to undergo changes to a more modern direction. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive qualitative research is aimed at obtaining an overview of how modernization affects public service administration policies in Kediri. To obtain the necessary data, the authors used a purposive sampling technique so that the sample taken was more focused, assisted by a review of several related previous studies. The results showed that modernization, especially in the field of technology, was sufficient to influence public service administration policies in Kediri.

Mathematical problems are often solved without using conventional methods but using intuition thinking. Intuitive thinking is a cognitive process that leads to ideas as strategies for making decisions that produce spontaneous answers in solving problems. Spontaneous answers are written and spoken expressions that help a person solve math problems without using analytical thinking. This study aims to describe the various forms of intuition that arise when students solve math problems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method to describe students' intuitive thinking processes through test instruments and interviews. The results showed that the form of intuitive thinking that emerged was (1) affirmatory intuition, namely direct cognition to understand the problem and (2) perceptual and global components, because students made perceptions of the answer solutions to be generated, then resolved until they got the results. In addition, it was also found that intuitive thinking that is raised as a strategy in making decisions is based on feelings, intrinsics and interventions to produce answers to solving the problems faced

The purpose of this research is to analyze the discipline of the State Civil Apparatus at the Human Resources Development and Human Resources Development Agency in East Aceh Regency in terms of time discipline and work discipline and what are the obstacles. While the purpose of this study is to analyze the time discipline and work discipline of the state civil apparatus at the Human Resources and Human Resources Development Agency in East Aceh District and determine what obstacles are faced in improving the time discipline and work discipline of the state civil apparatus. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, with a focus of research that is time discipline and work discipline. Based on the results of research and discussion the authors conclude that time discipline and work discipline apparatus BKPSDM East Aceh in general is good. Barriers that occur are distant domicile, do not have standard work standards, lack of maximum vigilance, not all understand work ethics. Some things suggested are more cooperative, give penalties for violations, continuous supervision.

Pun, in English, is a word play that is very suitable for Japanese, which has many homonyms. The name of word play in Japanese is called dajare. Many experts mention the types of dajare, and one of the researchers mentioned that there are three types of dajare. These three of types are homophonic dajare, near-homophonic dajare, and embbed dajare. One of the three types of dajare is the main focus of research. This research explained the analysis of embbed dajare in an animated show titled ““Shirokuma Café””, the show that has a lot of dajare in conversations between Shirokuma and his friends which is seen from the vocabularies are used. The purpose of this research was to study how the embbed dajare word play process is used in the conversation between Shirokuma and the person he is talking to. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The results of this research showed that the same or similarity of sound and form of dajare does not guarantee the similarity of meaning between the referent word and the target word.

<p class="05IsiAbstrak">The aims of the article are to find out: 1) kinds of illocutionary acts which are produced by the main characters in “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” movie, and 2) the most dominant illocutionary acts.  In analyzing the data, the authors used descriptive qualitative method.  The object of this study was main character’s dialogue of “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” movie.  The authors did these following steps: watched the movie, found the transcript, identified the dialogues of main character, classified them using Searle’s theory, and interpreted the meaning of utterances.  Here are 52 utterances with illocutionary acts. The results were: 1) Representative (assertive) (65%), 2) Directive (19%), 3) Expressive (8%), 4) Commissive (6%), and 5) Declarative (2%) in scale of 100%. Representative (assertive) was the most dominant. This study can be a reference for learning pragmatics, especially illocutionary acts. The teachers can also use movie as speech acts teaching media.</p>

This research deals with the types of illocutionary acts in Donald Trump’s Inaugural Speech. The research concerns with illocutionary act produced by Donald Trumps as a President of American. The aim of this research was to analyze the types of illocutionary speech act which was dominantly used in that speech. This research applied descriptive qualitative method and speech act theory by Yule. There were 63 utterances and the percentage of utterances were Representative 46%, Expressive 11%, Directive 16%, Commissive 12,7%, and Declarative 14,3%. The result showed that Donald Trump assert to the audience about the nation will be.It is found that Trump’s speech acts in his speech are intended as statement of fact and assertion. Disscussion of hopes implied in Trump’s speech acts. As seen on the table above, it can be seen that Trump hoped that his audiences would be persuaded to act
